Hi, simple question. Xinternalsd or Foldermount, which one and why?
It's hard to choose between one just because they do different things. Yes both are made to store data on your SD Card but Foldermount only stores games, and XinternalSD stores everything else but games, if you want to store games on your sd you need a module called OBBonSD. So if you need something to move only your games to the SD I suggest Foldermount(I use it), but if you want anyhting else but games go for XInternalSD

I did search the forum first and didn't find the answer. Is it possible to have games installed on sdcard2 (gameloft, THD games)? If so how? I didn't know if the read/write speed was fast enough to do it. And if they can be do games play without lag? I ask because im almost out of room on my gtab.
I can't answer all of your questions since I rarely play games. However, if you install an app such as APP2SD, it will ask if you want to move a newly installed app to the SD card if that app is capable of being moved. Not all apps are designed to be able to be moved.
I have many apps that I have moved to SD and have not really noticed a lag....but again, I am not a gamer and only install games for my grandkids to use.
Try it and see, you can always move them back if they don't run well.

I tried 3 different kinds and they all force close when I tap on the name of a game. I'm running mountain laurel Tom and there's no option to move in settings

The ROM is not what gives you the option to move.....at least not on my tablet. First you install a 3rd party app such as APP2SD. When that app is installed, anytime you install an app, at the end of installation APP2SD will notify you that you can move that app to your SD card....IF and ONLY IF the developer of your app has built it in such a way that it is able to be run from the card.
I knew that part but none of those apps move to sdcard2. Sdcard is just the internal storage
Hi
i bought the PIPO m1 tablet
and i tried installing all kinds of games (not from the playstore) like Asphalt 7
in the instruction i was told to copy afolder to the SDcard/Android/Obb....
this tablet does not have sdcard and when i checked under android folder ther was no Obb folder ???
i tried to buld one and copy the files there but still witout success
what is this folder and why its not on the Tablet

Oob folder is where game data are stored. If it doesnt exist create that folder and paste the gamedata. Also you may need to patch framework.jar on you m1 as majority of the gameloft games has issues starting up their games on m1 . Tty googling "pipo m1 gameloft fix"

Thanks
Ill look for it
You know if that problem exist on the pipo m8 also ?
You're talking about pirated apps here, aren't you? That's not allowed. Where did you download Asphalt 7 from? Google Play Store and Amazon App Store both automatically download the game data. If not that then most games download the data into the right folder on first launch. None of the games, especially popular games like Asphalt 7, will ask you to download game data from somewhere else and put it in the obb folder unless it's a pirated game and working around the initial license check.
Most of people use pirated apps
Very few pays for them

You are right, but sometime even I launch the games purchased from Google Play, it has trouble downloading external data if you deleted them and try to redownload them again. Therefore, sometime it it is handy to keep everything in an obb file yourself for the future. Please keep in mind that I DO NOT ENCOURAGE people to pirate apps, I just buy the idea of obb...
Use Root Explorer if phone is rooted
Like the title says, use a root explorer and you should find the obb file.
No apps in Playstore tells you to copy the files to OBB, its obviously pirated
Hey, I installed Call of Duty Strike Team and after playing it once, obb was disappeared from obb folder and game isn't working. But, after uninstalling the game ,only apk is gone and the missing obb file is occupying my internal storage and I can't delete or find it.Please help and can't find solution anywhere. My device is rooted. My device is Samsung Galaxy Tab 3v PLEASE HELP............!

You need to be root, then download this app from google play store. I use it with my 16gb Wifi only and it works perfect, i've over 17gb on games lol it was designed for games, but you can do with whatever folder you want.

Thanks alot dude, its works
Is there anyway to move apps from internal memory to SD card? Games like NFS take up a huge amount of storage and I'm running out of space. :silly:

I used to use DirectoryBind on my Xperia ZL while it was on 4.1.2. It needs root and works perfectly. I'm sure it will work on your tablet as well but if you have upgraded to 4.2.2 then you will need another solution.
I just bought my Xperia Tablet Z and went with the 32GB model for exactly this reason. People recommended the 16GB version because you can add an SdCard anyway to compensate but they don't seem aware that games that have a big game data such as NFS, Spiderman, Batman + many others will suck that 16GB dry and cannot be moved easily to the SdCard even though many apps on the Play Store claim they can. Every app I tried was a fail except for DirectoryBind which can be found on XDA by searching a bit.
Good Luck!!
Thanks a lot!!! I used Directory Bind with my S2 - never thought it can be used with Tablet Z!!!

Hey anybody having issues with older games from the app store not working after rooting their devices and unlocking the boot loader
Only newer games work ok but the gameloft stuff breaks due to sd card issues not good
Even if you try to move the obb files to the external sd storage its hit and miss. Grand theft auto breaks after moving and remapping the obb files from internal memory using foldermount app.
I did not have any issues with the g4 with apps like this device nor the nexus 6p everything works
Very disappointing any other methods please advise
Apps. Spiderman 2. Batman. Most gameloft games dont like to be moved to sd card due to the phone restrictions

Also just checked that certain Apps are easier to move over from internal memory to sd card than others. This device is not good for alot of gaming even emulation apps cant see the sd card they need to be rewritten by developers. I think i may go back with my nexus p6 if i get too annoyed with no intrrnal memory

Maybe I'm going OT, but how did you make foldermount works on G5?
The app says that folders are mounted but they aren't.
I don't know why you'd want to put your more intensive apps on an SD card, it's always going to be slower reading, even if you have a great card. Are you using something like App Manager that actually warns you of apps that are not safe to move to SD? Not familiar with your Foldermount app, I'd hope it doesn't let you just move anything without any warning.
