Is it actually charging? You will see a display showing that the fit is charging even if it is not turned on. If this isn't happening then either your fit isn't charging properly and/or the fit is not working at all.

no.. idint see animation battery. If I press on.. there is vibration but it cant turn on

Same problem here. At last the gear was in the Download Mode. After i push the power button for 10 sec, the gear start and tells me that the battery status is extremely low. The Gear turn off by them self. Now I can't start the Gear. I charged 24 hrs with my S7Edge cable and 24 hour with the normal Gear Cable.
Nothing happens. Still can't start it

Some issue with the charger. Last time I put in the dock the charge do not start ???? Trying to clean contacts but nothing.... Finally start charge after pressing lightly the power button few times ......

I have the same issue. Gear fit 2 went off due to very low battery. When I've put it in the dock for charge first time after the power off, I'm pretty sure it went with the charging sign. But after a couple of hours I can't turn it on.
Since then, I've tried almost everything and I'm not able to charge it. Tried 5 or 6 different chargers, tried to press power button in so many different ways I can't count it, etc ... I've tested the dock and it delivers its 4.5 V as it should so it's ok and contacts seem clean.
I feel like there a kind of bug with the gear fit 2 when it goes off on low battery, so my advise would be not to test that state. If somebody has an idea, I'm interested. Meanwhile, I'll see if it can be repaired.

Last time it not charge on the dock I must press the power button few second before see the first icon (flash) on the Fit2 screen and it started a charge
For the few last days I put the Fit2 on the dock just few second after power Off and it works........
(yesterday I put on dock at 2% batt)
So still stranges things

I've already tried that but no luck.
The watch goes to Darty in a couple hours.

It seem have some changes with the last firmware update few days ago.
Yesterday when I put my Fit2 on the dock I see the charge icon always ON on the Fit2 screen all the time charge.
It appear as soon as I put the Fit2 on the dock. Before it just show few seconds. If we move the dock we can see the charge progress bar few seconds and after the charge icon is displayed again.
So I thing Samsung has improved the Fit2 charge process ?

Sony Erisson MW600... bricked?!

Hi everybody,
after several weeks of rest in my desk, yesterday I decided to use again the MW600 with my Xperia X10. I tried to turn it on, but nothing happened.
I realized that for sure battery was completely drained, so I put the device in charge for the entire night.
This morning, when I unplugged it from the DC charger, pressing the ON button nothing appeared on the screen! And furthermore I noted that, during charge, no animation of battery charging appeared on LCD: only a "static" icon of battery, as if it already was fully charged.
I have also tryed a reset by press&hold ON button, but no icon appears on the OLED screen!
Any idea?
Thanks in advance!!
Paolo
UP! Any idea? ^^
someone said holding the power button for a few seconds while plugging it in may help.
Hi,
thanks for your reply
Just tried, but nothing happened! :'(
mine got bricked too.. it happened after a work out. maybe it's not designed to handle continuous vibrations while running i guess. i took mine apart and was surprised to see a battery similar to the size of a AAA battery squeezed in there. it's 3-4x bigger than the one used in the DS980. i pulled the battery and put it back in and it still wouldn't turn on. anyway, i got suckered in to buying another one but this time it's white.. can't wait.
So bad to hear... it is possible that completely drained battery means permanent brick?!
well, when i plugged in mine after it was bricked, it would show the charging animation moving as if it was actually charging but the thing is it doesn't ever get the full charge symbol. then once i unplug it, it wouldn't turn on and shows no sign of life.
you have to replace the battery..
i read somewhere that those battery will die eventually so have them replace?
how long uve been using it?
about 6 months
My MW600's Display died las week. the Head set would connect to the phone normally but nothing displayed. I used it for 2 days and it was dofficult to control. So i contacted SE and they asked me to mail it to them. Havent returned my MW600 yet.
My MW600 also just died in this fashion a few days ago - the battery indicator says fully charged when plugged in, but it won't turn on once i disconnect from the charger - i use mine alot for work-outs (running) also -
did anyone find a solution to this?
If i need to get a new internal battery where do i get one of these from?
thx.
ps. - tried the "keep on charger;hold power power button ;disconnect while still holding power button method" but no luck

Hey, I'm from Argentina and I can't get this battery here. I found out in Amazon that there are at least two dealers, found one around $8 and another one like $15. I completely unmounted my headset and I'll try to get one of those amazon batteries but I will have a long time to wait now. I guess you can buy one and try to replace it. The unmounting proccess is really easy, you just have a screw under the power button (under a sticker) and you have to loose the clip (pushing sideways with the screwdriver tip. After that you have another screw and it's only that, just need to unmount the track controlling buttons.
Mine died during a motorcycle ride, I could revive it (it was weird because it had battery fully charged and it never happened to me) and then in a running marathon it just died after 15 minutes.. Since then it won't wake up. I read the battery lasts around 18-24 months only, I bought it in January 2012 and used it daily since then, so I guess the battery just died..

Gear S will not power back up or charge after battery went dead while wearing

Wow, all I can say is I've been a Gear user since the original. I skipped the Gear 2 and Neo because I felt they were too similar to the original Galaxy Gear. I got my Gear S recently, about a month ago off contract from ATT. In all, I have been very happy with my purchase. It is definitely an upgrade to say the least. Maybe I miss the camera a little bit. But anyway, I was wearing my watch, normal day nothing major. I noticed that the battery was going to be dead before I got home that day. So I tried the battery saver option that is on the watch. Needless to say, this didn't work very well, as the watch kept dropping battery like it was going out of style. Sidenote: I've been getting at least a full days use out of the watch no problem after the newness factor wore off. Well the battery went dead while I was at dinner with some co-workers. I was slightly disappointed because one of my co-workers asked about the watch. And I couldn't show it off to them. I had to tell them that it died, which was kind of stupid and really spoke to why wear a dead watch on your wrist. What's the point? But anyway. I got home to re-charge by watch battery. My charging cradle is not broken, all charging pins are fine. It clips onto the watch fine. No problems here. I could not get the watch to charge. Everytime I clipped the charger on the watch there was no response from the watch. But the charger LED would turn on, letting me know that a connection had been established. I played and toyed with all types of things, I tried plugging into a computer. I read somewhere that this might fix the problem. No Luck. Finally I called Samsung, to ship the watch back for repair.
I'm wondering if anyone has ever had this problem. Have you ever let your watch go completely dead and had any problems charging?
Overall the Gear S is a decent watch, I just wish that Samsung would take as much pride in their watches as they are starting to do with they're phones. Better materials, such as a metal casing for a watch of this caliber would have been a major win. Just seems like most manufacturers coming out with watches now are using nicer materials and concentrating more on style. I would like to have the style with all of the functionality the Tizen OS. Android wear seems to be too locked down right now. Just my two cents. What do you guys think?
Just to let you know, on sunday after a full day I was not able to charge my watch, on monday I was at work, when my watch vibrates, advising me to charge it since its battery was too low, needless to say being at work I did not have the charger at hand (I know it was not smart to leave my charger at home, taking into account, the charger backup battery could have charged the watch all the way up to 50%, but you knou Murphy's law? ) In the afternoon after I got home, I finally connected the charging cradle to my watch, I was not surprissed it did not turned on, since the battery was completely dried, but after a couple of hours, I tried to turn on the watch and no luck at all, I tried everything from connecting the craddle to other chargers I use, to connecting it to my laptop (after googling my problem I found out this is a common problem with the Gear 2, and some of the user could fix this by connecting the watch to a laptop for for several hours, others with enough expertise to dissassemble their watch, could fix it by disconnecting the actual watch's battery terminals, and then reconnecting them) well, after about 12 hours connected to my lapto my watch was still dead, in a final effort, I just connected the charging craddle like a bavkup battery (by this I mean just the charging craddle was connected to the watch, not the actual AC charger), after about 3 hours, my watch came back from dead, it was just indicating battery at 1%, then I connected the AC charger, and after 01:30 it was at it full 100%.
After this near dead experience, I just would say, it is not advisable to let the watch die on its battery, if you are not able to charge it right away, I would think it would be better to turn it off, and charge it ASAP. If following my advise I helped some one with the same problem, I would be very happy!
Best regards!
Before I get started, YES, I'm fully aware this is the Gear S thread.
My wife's Gear Fit actually did something similar this morning after she unplugged it from charging it wouldn't turn back on, although I can't say for sure if it was light up or showing a charge when it was plugged in, but I can tell you it just wouldn't turn on. After fiddling with it for a minute I decided to just hold the power button down for a while and after about 30 seconds or more (not like I had a stop watch timing it) of holding the button down it finally turned on. For some odd reason it said "rebooting..." as if it were already on, usually it just says Gear Fit blah blah blah.
Not sure how long anyone holds down on the power button but I would first suggest holding it down for a prolonged period of time.
If that doesn't work hold down the power button and menu button for a prolonged period of time.
(Try both ways unplugged from charger , if that doesn't work then plug device in and retry above steps)

Gear S won't power on, please help!!

so, I've had my Gear S for about a year now... everything has been okay except for the charging cradle breaking, but I solved the problem, no biggie.... anyways... so up until last week, I had never let the Gear S run out of battery all the way, I've come close to it several times but would always get home in time to charge it. And then came last week... I had gotten lazy one night and didn't charge it when I went to sleep, the next day, I had about 40% left and I thought it would make it until I got home.... but it didn't. It was the first time running out of juice all the way to 0%. When I got home, I snapped it to the charging cradle and normally when the Gear S is powered off, but charging, the green battery symbol would still come on (to let you know the status)... but this time, it wouldn't. I just figured perhaps because it ran all the way out of juice, it would take some time before the indicator comes out. I left it charging for an hour or so... I go check and still nothing. I can't long press it to turn it on or anything... and I have TWO charging cradles (one of them is rather new), so I'm pretty sure it's NOT the charging cradles issue. I've tried different cables, and wall plugs, and still nothing. I've gone over a week now without a smartwatch (I've been wearing smartwatches for over 2 years now) and I'm really missing it... at the moment, there's really nothing else out there that I like, not to mentioned I'm hurtin' for cash.
Anyone know what the deal is? I'm hoping someone will chime in, I just want it to wake up :crying:

Can't turn amazfit on after ran out of battery.

The watch cannot turn on anymore after i forgot to charge it over night.
I try to clean a contact and tried to connect to computer or charger. No any responding on watch.

Thx, i will try to night and let see it after 24 hours charging ..:good::fingers-crossed:
For now, it still dead. Can't turn it on but the screen pretty warm.
I think I had that happened after my five days of use. It didn't turn on even on the charger for few hours. What I did was holding the power button for three or four seconds, and let the watch turn on the boot screen, and then right away put it to the charger. Then you should see the battery charging status image on the watch.

In my case i didn't see any boot screen when i hold the power button. you have any idea to turn it on?
Try plug your charger directly to a power USB switch. and clean the pins on the charger and on the watch.

Oh, really. be care ful bro, i so concern your watch will dead as my watch.
My battery is completely 0%. My watch is not turned on even on the charger. I pressed the watch down to the charger and made sure it was touching the pins, and then I pressed the power button the watch (while it is on the charger) for 2 or 3 second; the watch is turned on with battery charging status image. Hope that helps. BTW I use a StartTech USB switch for charging my phone and watches. The switch is not plugging to a PC or laptop; it is only for charging my devices.
After I "fried" some bluetooth headsets with wallchargers ( probably powersurge or similar )
I never ever use them for "small" devices like headphones or the watch.
I always charge with a powerbank.
Since then I didn't have any problems
Try to twist the charging ring
After I twist the charging ring couterclockwise/clockwise, the power was increase. So you should try twist the ring until it got the right position and precise contact. Hope this solution helps yours.
I had this exact same problem with my watch after about 8 days, i had charged it multiple times before but one morning i noticed my watch completely off and thought the battery must of drained completely. I went to plug it in and nothing happened it wont charge (even leaving it on the charger for 24+ hours) . Ive tried everything and it just wont turn on or charge.
OP im afriad yours sounds like same issue, i raised a dispute on Aliexpress and got a complete refund. I have just recieved another one so im hoping i dont have the same issue again.
I still have the old broken one so was tempted to pull it apart and see if i can see anything but tbh i wouldnt know where to start so have not bothered.
Try washing charger and watch contact point

Hey folks, facing the same issue for my amazfit gts 2 watch. The watch is switched off and charging icon doesn't display on screen. I have been charging it since last 15 hours but nothing is happened. Please help me out on this issue.
have some issue with my amazfit gtr 47. have tried all, but still not charging

Won't turn on

I recently picked up this galaxy s6 edge from a friend that upgraded to a new phone. It won't turn on, neither to android recovery, nor to download mode nor the android. I charged it via wireless charging overnight and i tried for around an hour with a usb cable. What do i do?
same issue i am facing, i tried original charger, wireless charger and fast chargers from many different brands. but all failed. The device only gets warm/hot while charging and nothing happens. neither download mode nor recovery mode works. I am kind pf stuck without any solution, my device was used very rarely and its like an brand new device. Doesn't know what to do, if you find any solution then please let me know too. thanks in advance
Same problem. If I press power button very long, blue light comes on. Then it's stuck and stays like this until battery is flat. Battery charging is not possible: device heats up (tried USB and Qi), but battery doesn't take any charge.
So I opened the S6 and checked the battery directly. I can charge it directly with a lab power supply and when I plug it in and press power button, the blue notification light comes on again until battery is empty again. I can also see that only ICs get hot, but not the battery when plugging in USB.
So, it's definitely some hardware fault. I suspect power IC that is not able to power up the screen. But I don't know. I will investigate further but it looks difficult. However, I have seen many YouTube videos with same symptoms, but problem was always different than mine :/
Hi guys,
This thread is 2 months old, any of you managed to fix the problem?
I am having very similar problem. My phone was on a shelf for about a year and a half. Before now it was working perfectly. Now I can't charge it via USB or power adapter. When trying to power it up or get into download or recovery mode, nothing happens. Computer does not see it. Tried different cables, USB ports, power adapters..nothing.
The only thing that is happening to the phone is the battery logo appears when trying to charge it, though the green bar does not go over battery, only the empty grey battery with lightning icon in the middle. Also the screen does not go dark after a few seconds as it should and the red/blue LED does not turn on.
Is this the signal from the phone, that the battery is to deeply dischareged and cannot be charged again? I am googling all over the web and can't find anybody talking about what phone does in case of to low voltage on battery.
PS back does not seem to be bloated, USB port was working perfectly last time used
Please try to help, you are my last stop before opening the phone and start probing the poop out of motherboard to see what gave.
EDIT: something interesting happened just about an hour after my post. The battery suddenly started showing % of charge and the green bar started running, computer recognized the phone.. as everything should be.
My FIX: leave the phone pluged in and charging for about 3days and it will start working again.
My semi professional explenation of fix and problem: the phone has a ''backup or reserve'' battery. It is actually main battery but the last I think I read somewhere it is 20% of capacity, is reserved for phone exclusively for the clock and all other electronics that need power when switched off. Now these 20% probably were discharged due to laying around for almost 2 years.
It took me 3 days of charging to fill up these ''20%'' I guess. Probably because Lithium batteries are charged VERY slow at very start and end. This is safty procedure for ALL Li batteries.
If any expert can confirm my conclusion please do so, to help other people.
To answer partialy to my question: The phone tells you battery is ''deep'' discharged when you only see the charge icon without the green bar.
In the mean time I was writing this edit I came up to 4% battery and turned it on!
