Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling your phone drivers ???
#Root-Hack_Mod*Always\
sorry i didn't get you..
are you asking me to reinstall the drivers on PC?
Also i could able to detect the device in recovery mode. as you know couldn't able to flash in recover mode
Thanks
Yes I was referring to the pc drivers. And do you mean that your pc recognizes your phone when its in recovery mode ???
#Root-Hack_Mod*Always\
yes it recognizes in recovery but when i try to flash using fastboot.. it's just waiting for the device
Thanks
Did you put your device in fastboot mode then plug into your pc ?? Try this if you haven't already.
Power off your phone.
Then press and hold the volume up button.
Then tap/press the power button.
Keep the volume up button pressed untill you see a white screen. Thats your hboot screen. Then plug your phone into your pc. Or if your running a rom that has the option to boot into the bootloader you can do it that way. Or if your running twrp you can boot into the bootloader by selecting reboot from the menu then selecting bootloader. Then try and flash your boot.img

Hi,
I had flashed the NexusXperia ROM on my Nexus S just recently. After trying it out I restored the stock ICS 4.0.4....
For some reason the phone keeps on showing the HD bootscreen continously without starting up....
I thought of clearing the dalvik and re-installing via restore however now that it's not got any recovery neither is it being detected on my pc....
I remember deactivating the USB debugging mode and probably this could be the reason it's not being detected....
Is there a way to flash recovery without debugging mode switched ON or is there a way to simply switch ON the USB debugging mode from bootloader screen....
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED ON THIS....
I have tried on windows 7 as well as on Ubuntu....but the device is not detected....thanks in advance.....

On the Nexus S, holding Volume Up while turning on the power will load the bootloader and from there you should be able to use fastboot to install a custom recovery using fastboot. You should not need USB debugging enabled for this to work.

Just keeps on waiting for the device....adb not able to detect the device too
The phone is in the bootloader mode and fastboot doesn't detect it? Sounds like it is completely broken then, your only option may be the UnBrickable Mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566475
Ok...i can see a "FASTBOOT MODE" written in red when i switch on using Vol+ & Power....

Fastboot is the mode you need to be in for fastboot.exe to detect the phone. Put it into that mode and try to flash the recovery with fastboot.exe using the command you posted above.

If you can find the last OTA zip you had and pull the firmware.zip file out and flash that in ruu mode. You likely need to hold volume up and power until it reboots then quickly start holding volume down to get to bootloader.

You can find your current software version on your bootloader screen. Then go looking for the update that matches.
You need to pull only the firmware.zip out of the update/otapkg.zip. You will the do the following from your pc. Make sure phone is connected and shows fastboot USB and that your firmware.zip is copied into your fastboot/adb folder.
Fastboot of rebootRUU
Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
If it says anything about flushing immediately run the last command again.
When complete issue
Fastboot reboot

I can access only this RUU mode, photo of current state/screen attached. I'm not able to go into fastboot since (power + vol-) not working.
adb is not detecting any device with the command............. "adb devices"

That's stock recovery. Hold power and volume up for 60 seconds. Does it reboot? If so, and you time it right you should be able to hold volume down and get into fastboot/bootloader.
A second option would be to see if the device shows up as an adb device if you chose to update via adb. If it does then use the command adb reboot-bootloader
Hello i wanted to ask about this since i dont see any other thread related to my issue, im trying to install magisk root and im at the stage of accessing fastboot/bootloader, when i go to recovery mode and select "reboot to bootloader" it just restarts the phone, i have tried adb commands didnt work either, same result, just restarts. The "unlock oem" option under developer options is enabled, i could flash another firmware of the same phone with SPD upgrade tool and its still not letting me get into bootloader, (to do this i must press down vol down and connect the usb while the program is on, and it is detected, otherwise it just restarts adb and fastboot tools will not detect it as download mode) any idea or suggestions on how I could root the phone, been thinking about twrp but not sure it would let me install that, looked into many pages about rooting this device and none show anything related maybe its not possible, i saw there are phones with blocked bootloader. the phone is android 9
Have you tried to
- flash the boot.img from the stockfirmware;
- install a recovery (twrp, orangefox, etc.) and rebooted to fastboot from recovery?

TWRP and orangefox dont support my phone, there may be something unnoficial for twrp as i search and im not sure i can flash the phone with a specific boot file since to flash i use a single .pac file that contains the rom ill look into this
For now im not able to flash the phone with custom boot.img or recovery.img maybe i need to pack specific files i dont know about i give up for today
Sorry to hear that...
Have you tried the following command?
Apache config:
adb reboot bootloader

Have you tried the method in the following page?
Hold volume up & power buttons. Otherwise, try volume down & power buttons.
