The i9000 isnt a vibrant. If its unlocked all you should need to do is add epc.tmobile.com to your list of access point names in settings, wireless and network, mobile network, access point names.
Also if it is a i9000 dont try to flash any vibrant roms. Go to the i9000 forum for those.

Check to make sure, you have the APN settings for your service provider.
Go to settings >> Wireless and network >> Mobile Networks >>Access point names >> Add new and set it to your Cell provider APN.
eg: Tmobile: epc.tmobile.com
Everything else blank Set APN type to Internet & MMS.
If you can specify your service provider, we can give you the APN settings for your provider.
Samsung Vibrant T959
Ok... Chichi... your response to my post was very adequate. It is not an I9000, is a Vibrant T959 S Galaxy... Now that I got that clear up... I dont have the APN for my network... It is Claro, from Puerto Rico... And I will need all kind of explanations to do this... the phone ask me all of this:
Name:
APN
Proxy
Port
Username
password
server
mms port
mcc
mnc
authentication type
apn type
All of this settings got an arrow where I can input whatever it is I have to input... the problem is that Im new at this... I dont know how to do it... but I will like to learn...
I did learn how to unlock this phone... it is my first...
Thanks you very much.
I will like to send this to you as a message...
because you treat me very kindly and with the upmost respect.
Thank you very much.

Thanks Wilddlymr... It was a mistake about the name of the phone... in reality the phone is a Samsung Vibrant SGH-T959... just as yours! sorry for the mistake. The thing is that I dont have the APN... and the company running this in Puerto Rico... is Claro. It use to be Verizon. I dont know if you can find the APN for this company over there in the USA. I will try and find it... but I dont know where to go. I went to Claro, and they refuse to give that information to me... (I told them to help me adquire the signal for the internet in this unlocked phone). Anyway, if you can find the APN for Claro (the message dont let me post the URL)... but it is w w w. c la ro. com I will appreciate it. Thanks, man!

Hi,
My friend recently bought SG2 I9100 (Black) and he is on gophone plan. He is trying to use the unlimited data. So, far he is unsuccessful. Can anyone still using Media Net please share their APN settings ? He tried calling ATT and it didn't work out. They were not able to see his phone as smart phone. But, they didn't help as they were clueless.
Hey guys! my friend asked me to connect his phone to the internet, I figured it was going to be easy insert the APN information and be done with it but this phone is super weird. I have to fight with it just to be able to select the type of network and for some reason it will only connect to GRPS and it wont go to anything above that. (Even though it should connect to EDGE on T-mobile and 3G / 4G on AT&T)
Google led me to another post here with some one having the same issue. He was unable to connect to the EDGE network with this phone. Can any one on AT&T tell me their settings? Besides the APN maybe a setting in the secret menu? I dont know I'm going nuts.
thank you guys.
you need to get original rom back

Hi,
Not sure if this has been posted, but I did a search and was not able to find any thread on this.
I have a Koodoo Samsung Galaxy S2 (SGH T989D) that I rooted and unlocked. When I put my Fido SIMin, I can only make voice calls and no data connection, none of my cellular data app./browser can connect to the internet, WIFI is working fine. I used both the APN drawn from the SIM card and manually set them according to the Fido forum, and both doesn't seem to work.
I've enable Data Roaming and still no luck, has anyone sucessfully unlock a Koodoo Samsung Galaxy S2 and got the data to work on the Fido network?
Any help would be much appreciated!!
Thanks in advance.
did you talk to your provider, they may have enable settings on their server.

Yes, I talked to Fido tech. support and everything is set propertly. I am still able to connect to the cellular data using my old iPhone 4 when I put my Fido SIM in.
Thanks
Like to add that this is a Samsung Galaxy SII x
I've had an issue crop up every now and then esp if i switch roms. Right now I'm running the nameless 5.0 ROM t0lte on my i605 and sometimes it gets stuck on edge. Here's some help with getting 4g back.
Go to phone dialer and type *#*#4636#*#*
Should take you to a special menu. Click the top selection should be phone info.
Select band as in attached image.
Also go into settings where you change apn and make sure APN info looks like attached files. Then goto network operators and search for.. Try one of the at&t ones.
This should work

****NOOB Question**** I just bought a Sch-I605 from a friend and had it switched from VzW to Straight Talk, ive rooted using ghettoroot method (Super Shotout to the creator of it because it made at least rooting on 442 ND7 easy as pie!) right now i have not done much else to it is there somewhere that can show me the best settings for my phone/ maby also by area/ how would i know what the best settings for me are? if possible can someone point me in the right direction to learn more about what i am looking for ( im not even sure if i am asking the correct questions) id like optimal apn settings and id like to learn how to verify / can i switch from stock VZw settings to another as far as my data profile ?/ where can i find out how to gain unlimited data for my particular model and phone any help would be greatly appreciated .
also the dialer code *#*#4636#*#* did nothing ... the only thing i truly can assume about that part is i did something wrong is there a list of dialer codes?
