Best MM rom - Galaxy Grand 2 General

What is the best mm rom for daily use and why?
Cm13
Aokp
RR
...

it is against rules to compare roms and u made thread at wrong place

i dont know why is it against rules, the man asked ,every 1 can say what he believes in his opinion ,which ROM is the best, and thats it

RR is nice
I'm using AdityaUpreti's RR v5.7.1, it is awesome. CM13 based with added customizations. I have not tried AOKP yet

Best Redmi Note 3 Pro rom (not MIUI) out there

Hey guys, I just wanted to hear some of your guys opinions on which do you think is the best custom rom that you use as your daily driver. Im currently running RR 5.7.4 but I want to know if there are any other better ones than RR without having to flash them myself, too many out there. If you guys dont mind just shouting out your favorite daily driver rom along with your favorite features that come with it, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

BEST 7.0 ROM, GAPPS & KERNEL................

I think Slim is better
The rom is super smooth, exposed works as it should be, the battery life is great, & the most important (for me) is fingerprint works!
The most stable and smooth is NX 10.4 for sure and I have tried Slim which is also very good, citrus is WIP but on a good path...
miui😋
yeah i too love custom roms, but some of the bugs remains in all customs, iam running epic rom(miui based)+xposed+some hebf tweaks and all is fine here,i mean camera and fingerprint is good +debloated to core gives me an idle battery time(around 5-6hr sot)
if any have some good suggestion regarding any custom rom which has good camera quality+fp would be really appreciated, peace
Ressurection Remix 5.7.4 is great too
This cm14.1 ROM with volte enabled has no problem for me , run smooth , make calls, everything ok.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224398856
cm 13 for daily use, cm14 for nougat test
The RR 5.7.4 latest one which you are using is the only best.
after rooting my phone i have installed almst 10-15 roms on my phone ranging from 6.0-7.1 in a month.
but he best one is the resurrection remix only and u are already using it. so i think i dont need to explain y.
stay on it .
enjoy it.

Cm13 or RR 5.7.4?

I want to know which rom is best for daily usage in terms of battery and general performance..more concern on the battery though...if use along radon kernel which one is better??
Cm13
vote for aicp mm, slim rom or nx rom
i know this out of your option, but this roms are best rom for me in mm while N still not stable enough
Resurrection Radon. Have tried many roms, allways end back at the above. All round beast of a rom
I think the battery isn't the major thing to concern as we know that RR is based on CM so in term of battery life both of them seem don't have a big difference, and regarding to ur query which one is the best for daily driver? I would say RR cos you know CM13 abit outdated than RR also RR has much customization inside, and it may give the ROM a step further than CM. Moreover it will never good to ask a ppl without really trying the ROM urself. Just try it and fell it. Hahha

I recommend you stay at CM13.
Even RR 5.7.4 with lastest unofficial build and it's newer than CM13 but there is a bug - Cannot find any button to turn the back light off in RR configuration.
CM13 + Radon kernel. Best choice ever.
I use Nexus Experience ROM + Radon Kernel. Best combo ever! Read my review here: http://www.usacircular.net/best-rom-for-redmi-note-3-pro/

Best ROM threads are not allowed here because they:
A) always devolve into silly bickering
B) are too subjective - what is "best" for one user is not necessarily "best" for another user due to differing use cases
The answer is, try a bunch of them and decide for yourself which is best for you.
I would like to rephrase him if I may, at this moment what is the most stable nougat rom for surnia, in my case. I normally follow the latest updates but I've been away from xda for a while and I would like to know if there is any completely or mostly stable at this moment
For me it's RR. I find it to be more stable than any other N rom out there.

RR is stable with the most features, Slim is the lightest since it has the least features and cyan is dead until Lineage OS is up and running, AOSCP is decent too, the new 7.1.1 update has just been released. Like the above user said, try them all and decide for yourself.

Good rom

Can you suggest me a good custom miui rom for the phone? I want one with the best battery life. Thanks

1) Try yourself to find the best ROM..
2) battery life is nearly identical for all roms i tried.. (AOSP Extended, Resurrection Remix, Lineage OS, AICP)

Custom Miui rom? Eh, there is no custom Miui roms I guess, you could try flashing Xiaomi.eu roms. That's all I know about mi roms.
Just flash an AOSP based rom, best for business
AFAIK, every custom ROMs / MIUI roms gives same battery life.
Good rom - criteria in post
Hi there. I finally got permission to unlock the bootloader in my xiaomi redmi note 4 global Version (snapdragon). Well, actually it's a device I'm Setting up for a friend.
I will try several roms for the Note 4 mido, but I Need some helpf from you to narrow the roms I'm going to try.
The criteria the roms should fullfill:
- Simple
- Stable
- good battery life
- fast/snappy
- good camera-app preinstalled
- good gps / navigation
- Fingerprint sensor working
- front sensor-Buttons working
- if possible, OTA updates
Would AOSP ext, Resurrection Remix and Lineage be a good choice, or are they instable/too Feature rich? What about AICP? What's the difference between slim7 and candy7? Would they be good? Thank you very much for any Input, really looking Forward working with this device and to get rid of miui...
cant unlock my yet, but you could you share which one worked best? thanks
Multirom.me
I tried XenonHD, Lineage and AOSP ext. so far, always the latest version. I love the simplicity of Xenon, and that it uses the Nova Launcher. Unfortunately, it bugs me that the soft-buttons on the front don't vibrate (yet). Lineage... I just tried it too short to judge it.
Resurrection was too complicated/feature rich for my taste.
Then I installed AOSP extended, and I really, really like it. It's really stable, it works, and it has all the daily-driver qualities that I need.
plz link to the extended rom if u can , thanks

Best Custom Rom For Redmi note 4? [Dec Update 17]

Guys I am on miui 9 but I want to swap to a custom rom. So which will be the best custom rom for the device (Indian Variant) till the date (Dec 17)? Testers and devs please reply. I hope this will be a useful for new users too on XDA.
There are tons of Roms to choose from...
Currently I'm on LineageOS 15 unofficial build by @abhishek987, this just Rocks.
About nougat Roms? Yeah, there are already bunch of Nougat Roms.
Bugs?
NOMMUCH, but the flash color is yellow (just an FYI)
I think Oreo is not ready just yet.. I am on RR and I enjoy it a lot! Alexey provides unofficial build frequently, and they have absolutely no problem. Everything is great, and if you need customization, it is the way to go. If you want a near stock experience go for LineageOS, 14.1 or 15, tor choice.
I would like a LineageOS based rom. Then What will be your suggestions on L14 Based stable rom? And I am recently following your Index of The device. Thanx in adv mate @sachin n
Yeah I am a Big fan of RR. Is the RR 5.8.5 stable? Cause i saw on the thread saying that It is Final but status is still Testing So If you can suggest me any stable nougat version of RR with link then that will be so much helpful and bugs in short if there any. Thnx you man in adv. @ToRt1sher
Ii has been incredibly stable for me. I think 0 crash/ random restart since day 1! I am on the unofficial build, which does not have a dedicated thread. But half the post on that thread refer to the unofficial one. The only bad thing is that there are 2 different builds, each with different LED notification driver. If it doesn't behave properly you will have to flash the other one, but that's like, a ten minute business.
Is this the Rom's link you are talking about?
https://sourceforge.net/projects/resurrectionremix/files/mido/
Please confirm if. If it is not then kindly share the link @ToRt1sher
@sachin n which kernel do you use with Linos 15 , stock or somthing else
Stock only
I recommand los 14.1 It's very stable, lightweight and you can root it without losing ota function...everything is fine!
This is the official. It is certainly very good, but outdated by 2 months. Alexey just made a final build a few days ago..
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673791459329064493
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=817906626617949855
These are the 2 builds, with different LED drivers. Try them out, pick the one that works with your specific device.
Crdroid and resurrection remix
All the ROMS are crap here.... some form of bugs are present.. If you want to live with it, use them. If you are going to use BHIM for online transactions then rooted phones are not supported. Better to use official MIUI rom which has most of the features.
@viewedit Did you try magisk hide or root cloak (xposed) to use bhim? works on my slim rom?
