Hi! I have a stupid question - can I flash the new firmware when I do not have root nor unlocked bootloader? It's just stock. Will it work?
Installed it, thanks, no problems.

Yes,you can. It doesn't really matter about root or unlocked BL.

the phoneapp is redesigned and now i don't send rejection messages anymore from my pocket
the camera app has swipe through modes functionality which i find great.

I have managed to score only 31k even after the complete reinstall, I have deleted the bloatware and without an inserted SD card.
Does the score really vary so much?
However I can find the phone really smoother than before. Let's hope that it will last.

How to keep root
I have two very important questions. I want to flash badly however I want to know how to keep root and get back twrp. I have E2303 build .111 with locked bootloader and it is currently rooted and has twerp. I don't want to loose either are there any steps to keep those?
how?
How is it possible that some people have in the middle (button of house) and others circle? How it works? Will I be able to install any language? What about the people that have phone in subscription plans? Can I also install a marshmallow on my aqua m4 in Poland? Please some step by step instructions. Never I did anything like this before. Please help ....best as possible in the form of video.
Question , If I flash the FTF will my Sim card still be functional or would it change the permissions of the sim card acceptance, I am on the Canadian Fido network Fido is Rodgers Partner so both Fido Rodgers network works. I know its prob a easy Q but I honesty dont know.

Hello all,
Just purchased LG K7 (Walmart Family Mobile variant, model# K330) and tried to unlock for use on T-Mobile now that all WFM phones are SIM locked. Received a code from cellunlockerpro but the instructions to unlock (2945#*model number#”) don't work to open the dialog box needed to enter the code. Phone has a pre-installed unlock app which checks the eligibility prior to unlocking. Is there anyway to bypass the app and go through the dialer or service menu to unlock somehow? Thanks for any information/advice.
I bought the same phone yesterday for the same purpose. You need to search the forums, and download lgup, lgup_k330 T-Mobile, and WEB_K33010h_00 T-MOBILE.kdz. Follow instructions on the install, and flash that file. It will boot back up connected to T-Mobile. No unlock code needed.
Let me add as I am sure you know I had rooted, and unlocked the bootloader.

Okay, so if I flash this .kdz to the MetroPCS (ms330) variant using LGUp then I will be network unlocked or have switched networks to TMobile from MetroPCS; bypassing the factory installed device unlock application which was originally on the MetroPCS K7? Forgive me Im trying to verify before I attempt this.

Its possible, but more likely that you would just brick your phone if you tried flashing a firmware that wasnt for your exact model phone. Mostly because they use the partitions for different things. Never a good idea to flash firmware onto your phone thats not actually for your phone.
Freaking works!! I got the walmart tmobile version and then flashed the phone with the official tmobile dz stock rom and BOOM i finally got service on my phone with a tmobile sim card lol

U do know after having this phone on metro for 30 to 60 days all you have to do is call them and they will unlock it for free. Every phone i have get from metro I unlock and still have piled up just in case I or someone needs one loll. I have everything from galaxy avant to core prime to LG k7. This is my favorite part about metro you buy a phone you actually buy and keep for any carrier

No.
arc6 is for
· The stability of Face unlock has been improved.
· The stability of Camera has been improved.
arcc is for
· Call stability has been improved.
· The quality of Wallpaper has been improved.
I got the ARCC yesterday. Exynos unlocked s9+ with EUR csc.
I got ARCC today, OTA, and I'm using a Three branded set (H3G) - it was originally Vodafone, but I flashed to Three because I wanted to use a Three SIM , with WiFi calling and support for more of Three's LTE bands.
Looking at SamFirmware, ARCC rolled out to a huge number of carriers simultaneously, so I'm wondering if we are seeing some of the benefits of Project Treble here.
Regards,
Dave

I have frp off but it's setup. Should i factory reset before trying to flash to u1 or does it not matter? I tried rb7 but it failed. Also i noticed while trying to flash it didn't load ap very well. Normally it freezes for a sec while verifying but it instantly added. Maybe a bad download? I'm downloading rbg now which is an md5 so maybe that was an issue before because the rb7 wasn't. I'll see if that works. Just a lil worried about going to a version 1 bootloader from version 2 as i read that wasn't possible. Hoping for the best. Thanks for the help

Oh you on V2 bootloader, well you are stuck on it because U1 is on V1. Currently only T-Mobile and AT&T have V2 firmware out so you can try flashing in between.
Am on U firmware 2ARD3 but am pure stock without carrier bloatware.

I have the same question as OP. What would I accomplish by flashing the T-Mobile V2 U firmware as opposed to the most recent U1? Is there anything I can't manually enable while staying on unlocked? I don't want to go to the V2 bootloader if I don't have to for the time being, at least until we see an unlocked V2 version.

The U1 is pure stock, I personally would stay on it..
The carrier U firmware are just full of bloatware and also contains the userdata for that specific carrier so that some features work properly like voice over LTE etc. If that doesn't bother you then stay on your version because there isn't any V2 bootloader for the U1 firmware

I definitely want those features, is there a way to enable them while on U1? I don't want bloat, but to my understand T-Mobile's bloat isn't too bad.

Use the userdata from the V1 firmware for T-Mobile, use modded Odin and flash the userdata and you should have T-Mobile features :good:

Also would like direct video, HD vice, and especially VoLte working. Since all the carrier software is in the user data I just want to have the T-Mobile in place of the att. Phone works well otherwise and I can live with it the way it is for a bit til it gets sorted out. But hopefully there will be an unlocked v2 firmware soon that will flash. Or bootloader unlock!

U1 generally be the last to get updates
Hi. I can't wait for another 3 months to get Android 9 together with One UI. I hoped that I can get beta version, but unfortunately it's available in selected countries only.
I thought that I will be able to bypass that block with VPN, I did it once for Good Lock 2018 using this post from Reddit. But I didn't succeed with the Android P beta.
The thing is, you need to use Samsung Members app to participate in testing, but looks like it detects your country using CSC. I have no other idea because I pulled out a SIM card from the smartphone, activated VPN, disabled GPS. But I still couldn't trick it.
So my question is, do you have any other ideas how I can install beta version of Android P? Should I wait for the ROM here at the forum? Or maybe I can change CSC someone without root (yes, I checked the forum but there's still no clear answer if I can do it or not as of 14th of November, 2018)? Appreciate any ideas

BTU should be fine, that's the one that I want to try as well. As for the SIM card, don't think that it's actually needed.
I flashed BTU firmware, but for some reasons, it didn't apply.. I still have the same CSC and my regional apps are still there. Does anyone have any idea why it could have happened?
UPD. Looks like I was able to install BTU. At first, I flashed AP, but I had to flash CSC as well. So I did it in 2 steps. After flashing CSC my smartphone reloaded into recovery menu. I made factory reset from there and that's it!

I suggest you to read the old beta threads from last year. As far as i remember you need a SIM-Card, for example Lyca, wich can be changed to different countries via SIM-Tool App. but lets see if the beta arrives today after all.

Not sure now.. When I was setting up the phone after clean install, everything looked like it was BTU. But I didn't find beta invitation in Samsung Members. After that I download an app to check my current CSC code and it appears to be XSP for Singapore.. I tried to flash it several times, flash AP only, flash CSC only, nothing has helped..
But it could work though, as I have Bixby voice now (it wasn't available before). I'll post here once I have any updates.
Nobody has an invitation in Samsung members at this point!

Who has the same problem?
My device is G965U1 (ARJ2)
I have a sim unlocked Xperia 1 J8110, there is no such option in the settings for VoLTE anywhere, I tried doing *#*#4636#*#* then going on to phone information, but the VoLTE provisioned is grey'd out, is the another firmware I can flash?, Preferably unbranded as I don't want bloatware.
Edit: my device was previously on Vodafone before unlocking, does that make a difference, also my build number is 55.0.A.6.16
Flash ee firmware

I've got Xperia 1 from o2. It was factory unlocked but branded to o2.
I've had to flash unbranded generic UK to get VoLTE and VoWiFi on EE.

Yes . No need to unlock bootloader etc.. It will wipe your current data and settings.
Please use this guide to flash. https://www.xperiablog.net/2018/01/...-firmware-for-xperia-xz-premium-xz1-and-more/

I believe generic as that's what'll give me VoLTE and WiFi calling, was just making sure, thanks
Owner of a J8110, was on Vodafone but is now unlocked however I assume I'm still on Vodafone firmware..
So what's the best firmware available, unbranded?
I need WiFi Calling & voLTE but also would like to be on a firmware with the fastest updates possible
Any help is appreciated, be specific as possible please, thanks guys

The first to receive the updates usually are RU an UA regions, not UK... But J8110 firmware of that regions are not available.

So other than the RU & UA regions, Customized UK is the best to be on? Considering I'm in the UK.., this is unbranded and has WiFi calling & voLTE with fastest updates in UK?
I thought Customized firmware was best and fastest but EE had update first, why is this? Is unbranded not better anymore

The EE one is basically an unbranded one, probably just the luck of the draw for which ones come first
