My Redmi 3 IDO is stuck at the startup, system process failed ;(
Sometimes it starts up after +-2 hours... today it started, I immediately went to factory reset, but nothing happened when I pushed the button...
Then I tried to install TRWP & Kingroot to root my device, but this process hangs too, I immediately get into the lock screen and touch screen doesn't work.
I had put some roms, TRWP on my SD Card to flash asap, but I cannot get to flash...
Then I installed MiPCSuite (adb drivers installed on pc), but no device found.
I also installed XiaMiFlash on my pc and tried to flash a TRWP or Rom from there, but immediately fail.
I guess that original bootloader from Xiaomi is protected or something.
How can I get over this, so that I can install a new bootloader from where I can flash customised roms ?
Don't know what to do now, flash from pc,...
Touchscreen doesn't work, it starts up in lock screen and the light goes out faster than usual.
Today it booted up once, I had turned of the lock screen, but now it is on again...
I can only put my phone in download or recover mode with that built in Chinese bootloader, but don't know if I can do something from there.
I also tried to boot without SD/Sim card so that i'm sure that nothing blocks it, but this didn't help.
I guess I used too much apps & cleaners....
Maybe i'm lucky and it will boot after 2-3 hrs, but still when i'm in my device, nothing seems to work, this really sucks
Letting the battery run out and wait a few days to turn it on won't help probably...
Theres a lot of factors to determine in this case, first of all, is it a Snapdragon model (kate/kenzo) or a Mediatek(henessy)?, what version of MIUI are you using?, and most importantly, what did you do to get the phone in that state?
But in your case the most reasonable solution is put the phone on EDL mode and flash it using MIFlash, that software is used only for flashing an original MIUI Rom, you cant install TWRP or any other rom.
Yes it's a snapdragon (also tested it with an app), it's the IDO version (Redmi Note 3 international version).
The Miui is still the original version 7.
Actually I didn't nothing special that the phone got in that state, I think I just installed too many apps which resulted in a conflict that the proces system doesn't react and hangs at startup.
It's also strange that fastboot mode does nothing, it just shows the animated figures...
I will bootup in EDL download mode and try to flash the stock rom, the only thing is that I don't know which one.
My version is the IDO version, it's not in this list, I'll try the Kenzo.

Cannot receive hello packet error and it stops flashing... strange

Kenzo is codename for Redmi Note 3 and Kate is for Redmi Note 3 Special Edition (International version). Ido codename is for Redmi 3 (http://en.miui.com/download-298.html). Here is URL to Redmi 3's forum: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-3
Thanks, it wasn't necessary anymore, while driving from work and waiting a few hours it suddenly started up and I quickly reseted to factory settings

I am usig MiA1 for two years.. For the past one year I'm facing random reboots.. Not able to figure out or pin point on any specific app since the reboot is very random... Tried factory reset and uninstalled less used apps and still no luck..
Broke the patience and tried unlocking bootloader and flashed pixel experience rom(Tissot android pie edition). But the reboot issue is still hunting me in this rom as well
If someone have any suggestions, please let me know..
Thanks!!
Just few days after installing miui 12, got this problem. The phone is stuck on a boot loop. If I pattern unlock the phone, I get a toast saying "find device stopped unexpectedly". Unfortunately, I don't have a backup. :crying:
Is there any way to save my phone? or may be get a backup?
I too experienced the same bug, i went to the official service centre to fix the issue. They reflashed the os but the same issue kept arising again and again after a day or two, the service center guys had no clue what's going on. At last I decided to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom rom. Now am using RR without any issue.

yeah, I am also in the same track but I am unable to make MiFlash Unlock tool to recognize my phone in fastboot mode. Adb does recognize, Mi PC Suite recognizes it but says phone software has to be updated. (Using latest MIUI 12).
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Use an Intel pc. Amd has issues with mi flash unlock too l. Run as admin. Turn off all anti virus/ firewall applications.
Having the exact same issue on my POCO F1, recently updated to MIUI 12. It was working pretty well up until 10 mins ago.
Battery went under 5% and the device went into ultra power saving mode, then restarted. Now every time I unlock the pattern, the toast pops up "Find my device..." and it goes into bootloop.
Now there isn't even a pop up, device immediately goes into bootloop.
bro, i just now facing this.. can you help me out
Well, MIUI 12 is not going good in poco F1.
If anyone who has not updated to MIUI 12, don't update the phone. Currently there are many bugs in the update
Long story short -
Some are unable to boot up the phone, some stuck in bootloop, some unable to use their passwords, some unable to set up new password, Second space not working, etc etc ...
I also updated to MIUI 12 and was unaware of the bugs.
But the device booted up and password (both fingerprint and face unlock) was working fine but I was unable to change it. Second space was working too. So I was happy that there is not much issue.
But then come the buggy part.
I started playing COD m after update and battery drained like hell 100 to 30 in 1.5 hour. I was shocked by this.
After charging I started to play again but this time (with battery issue) screen freezing happened and then happened at regular intervals. So the gaming experience on MIUI 12 was ruined.
Then I just find MIUI 9 for it and flashed it. (Ya, factory reset in this process too ?) But it is working fine now. Got fast charging module and custom thermal for gaming and it worked.
Currently no issue at all.
But I am still finding a custom kernel for poco F1 to overclock cpu and GPU (not able to find any till now).
Nearly every kernel is ment for MIUI 11 and 10 only. So I am digging deep for now to find a kernel for MIUI 9.
At last just one message - Don't update untill mi release a stable and bug free MIUI 12 version.
If MIUI 12 is working fine on your poco F1, either you are lucky or you have not encountered a bug till yet.
Without data loss, is this method come back to normal as before for poco f1 mobile?

If you don't want to loose your data, try flashing the rom using mi flash tool. But nothing can guarantee data security. You should back up your data regularly, waiting for a mishap or trusting on a single electronic device is just foolish, do make multiple copies of important data, if you want it to be secure.
I also have this problem. Updated my POCO F1 to miui 12 and it is in bootloop all the time. The bootloader is locked but I cannot unlock it now with no access to the device. How can I flash again a lower version?
If I don't mind losing the data how can I go back to previous version?
No brother, I encountered the same issues you mentioned. I stuck with MIUI logo loop after that I did a hard reset to mobile phone working condition.
So I am having weird issues with this goddamn old phone. My intention was to root it and then work from there, I flashed this ROM. It worked fine for a while, but recently I tried to use the GPS and the phone simply started a reboot cycle that never ends. I wiped the cache, reboot it... and it didn't worked. And then a even more bizarre situation happened: I wiped everything (literally, only the SD card remained intact for flashing purposes), flashed this ROM, it booted, I selected the language, wi-fi, google account, create a PIN, etc.. the usual. But then 5 minutes later, the phone started the reboot cycle again, wtf? That's it, the phone is gone? If I am fast enough to turn on the "airplane mode", the phone stops rebooting, but as soon as I toggle it off, here it comes the damn rebooting again
I'm having the exact same issue on my Nikel. Today was my third wipe to get it working. I've read somewhere (can't find the source now) that it's allegedly related to a google play update that messes up some gps-related libraries and can cause bootloops on android 6 devices. For me it started on 24th February - I woke up to the phone already in the loop. Maybe blocking the update or manual removal can fix this issue. I'll try to find more info and will post if I figure something out.
Also, it wasn't flashed or even unlocked when it happened for the first 2 times.

That's so weird... I just bought a refurbished Redmi Note 8 Pro to substitute this cursed nikel, it's a damn shame how this version is not popular, meanwhile the snapdragon variant is receiving customized android 12 roms as we type these comments, nikel is abandoned smh I will try that "fix" you linked, related to the google services... see if that can fix the infinite reboot. I assume the google maps will not work? Who knows, these bugs are just annoying

And it didn't worked, the phone entered on a bootloop again, I had to quick turn the GPS off and that stopped rebooting. Such a weird bug... the curious thing about it is how the phone was working fine with the locked bootloader, the "original" MIUI, etc After rooting the phone, I tried the few custom roms we have here on XDA and I never used the GPS that much, so I didn't noticed the bug immediately. Tried to flash the MIUI again, the GPS problem remained. I was even willing to lock the bootloader again, attempted to flash MIUI through Miflash and it didn't worked. So I am stuck with a rooted phone (that is working pretty well, all things considered) but with no GPS
Right now the phone is working fine for me, so does the GPS. However, if google services ask me whether I want to increase navigation accuracy with google location service (I don't remember the exact popup text, I'm using a Polish version), and I click agree, everything goes to hell. I've been able to avoid agreeing to google location service until now, but it tries to trap me 3-4 times a day. I just know that it will pop up right under my thumb when I'm trying to tap something else, and it will be factory reset time all over again.
Hi I am in the same boat Note 4 nikel, when I turn on GPS, bootloop is happening.
Has anyone found a solution today?
So i find this link for Redmi Note 4 in
Firmware Redmi Note 4 MTK Untuk Yang Bootloop, Restart Terus Dan Bisa Buka Gps Akurasi Tinggi, Gojek Dan google Map
Download firmware redmi note 4 mtk miui 10, nikel atau 4x ini file khusus untuk hape yang bootlop bandel dan restart terus menerus
www.joelzr.com
I've installed it using spflashtool .. It worked for high accuracy navigation .. It only in english and chineese ..
Reuploaded the file in here ..
1.99 GB folder on MEGA
6 files
mega.nz
After a successfull flash .. Install the google installer apk .. And install your desired app .. And because google play took sooooo long to download app ( maybe my network signal ) .. I download the apk manualy from browser and install them ..
Works fine on my Redmi Note 4 .. Only reboot once ( don't know what happen) and no more ..
Sorry for my english ..
hi
my friend own redmi note 9 pro
and have 'known' issue of random phone reboots during calls - like at least once a week during call his phone reboots itself
it was send to 'warranty' repair 3 times ! but they did not fixed anything.
so my question is
IS THERE ANY CHANCE THAT CUSTOM OS WILL SOLVE THIS ISSUE? lineageos for example?
or does anyone had this kind of issue with his one and custom os was the solution ?
thanks and regards !
It happened to me that my RN9P joyeuse restarted several times during a phone call or just while using it. The problem was fixed for me during the update (I think miui 12.5). It was probably a software bug when the phone tried to switch between LTE and another network which caused a restart. I am currently using the ForkLineageOS custom rom on android 12 and there are no reboot issues, previously i used lineageOS and pixel experience on android 11 and there were no problems either.

Can you review lineageOS for me?, is it good?, stable, and how to install it
not on rn9pro but on my redmi 9 everytime I try to call "*143#" my phone just magically reboots, and also the reboot persists too when I try to maxxed out the volume.
