No access to the flash mode and bootloop when turn off - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, after flashing a .575 rom on my xperia z2, I wanted to install a new kernel but a problem occurred: when I shut down my phone the Sony logo reboot constantly and I can not access the flash mode so I do can not unlock my bootloader. Do you have a solution to the problem when I bootloop turn off the phone and to access the flashmode? To switch the phone I have to plug it in, wait until the logo of the battery reaches and press power. I have access to recovery if needed (I'm now in .570 with a backup but the problem is still present)
Sorry for the bad english I had to use google translation to some sentences

You can not go into flash mode if the phone restarts constantly.
If you have recovery installed, as you wrote, Just flash rom from there, after entering in recovery
If not:
Try to keep both the power button on the phone with the volume down until you feel the vibration. After that, phone is switch off. Run Flashtool and flash stock firmware.

You don't need flash mode to unlock bootloader, just unlock it using fastboot
fastboot -i 0x0fce oem unlock "your unlock code"

So... My phone is stuck in bootloop after trying to flash stock recovery via Fastboot. I can't acces bootloader nor recovery. Is there any way to flash stock recovery without getting into bootloader? My PC recognizes the phone as MTP USB Device. I dunno why (it never done it before) but the phone powers off when disconnected from any power source. Please HEEEEEEEELP!!!:crying::crying:

Did you try to press volume down+ power button until you see bootloader mode , if you don't , I think you should definitely give it a try :fingers-crossed:

MY honor 5x is bricked- can't get into fastboot nor adb for flashing anything.

I guess i flashed VOlte rom on non Volte rom i had.
Also i guess i had my bootloader locked.
Phone just keeps booting till battery is dead.
Any help is appreciated
your bootloader is unlocked so getting into the bootloader can help you first of all download latest twrp from thier website and place it in your adb folder and take your phone if its switched off press the vol down and power and plug in the power cable at the same time keep pressing the vol down till fastboot mode appers then use fastboot to flash the twrp recovery and reboot to recovery from fastboot and flash your desired custom rom or go back to the correct stock rom using the twrp stock rom backups found in the threads here is one

Unable to get into recovery mode ever

I have had the z2 for so long but have never been able to have a custom rom on it as it has been impossible to get into recovery mode. I have flashed twrp with fastboot etc. The device is rooted and bootloader is set to yes in the service menu. I can never seem to get into twrp despite everywhere saying you hold down the power button and volume up key and wait for the led to flash. The led never comes on with this method. It only comes on when you hold volume up and plug the usb in and it goes blue to indicate bootloader mode. Can someone please help as I have been stuck on this rom since 2013. I also have never had the OEM unlock option in developer options either so have never been able to select that when following flash instructions.
Many thanks
Have the same Problem until some days. No chance to open Recovery - even i have flashed Stock Rom with EMMA and/or Flash Tool.
Inatall quick reboot and then you'll be able to reboot into recovery, had same issue.

Sony XZ1 G8431 bricked

Hello guys, i have sony xz1 g431, i bricked my phone when i try to install another rom of another device via twrp. Now my phone no light when connect to pc, no light when charging, flash tool doesnt recognize my phone. When i connect my phone to pc it only shows QUSB_BULK on my pc. I think it lost fastboot or something. I try hold down button, up button or both when connect to pc but still no light and nothing happen.
Please help me fix this problem or atleast some good suggestions to solve this problem. I will really happy for that. Thanks :crying:
Just have the phone powered off, hold just only the volume down button and while holding it, connect the phone to usb cable to your PC.
It should enter flash mode (green light), where you can flash stock firmware via newflasher (or possibly also via flashtool, but I do not use that).
If you have the phone off, hold volume up button while connecting to usb, it should enter fastboot (blue light), which also may be used for some recovery, if the phone has been unlocked (or for the unlock itself).
If any of those modes are available, the phone should be possible to recover.

i have tried it but there's no light. I think it's dead :crying:
@Karl Einstein, have you tried both ways as suggested above?
Maybe you can examine what usb device appear (if any) in each of the described modes (tried to enter flash mode, tried to enter fastboot mode, tried to just plug the phone to usb without holding any button from power off state).
What happens if you try to enter recovery mode (twrp) - having your phone powered off, without usb connection, holding volume down and power, should enter twrp if you had it flashed before.
Do you get any vibration when hold the power button and.volume.key.up?

Well...I think your phone is dead...I'm really sorry to say that, but in this case, that is the only reasonable explanation.
Yesterday I flashed the GSI image, then tried to flash to eXistenZ, it just stuck in the startup interface. However, it can still enter flash mode and fastboot mode, I have no choice but to use the newflasher to re-flash the firmware, it will return to normal.
In general, Sony devices are hard to change bricks, unless the phone is a Japanese carrier's custom phone (generally can not unlock the bootloader, and can only flash some firmware).
I have seen users who have flashed CE firmware for the docomo version and then can't enter flash mode and fastboot mode.Unlike your device, her phone is totally dead...It can't be charged, and there is no prompt to connect to the computer.
If you can buy a motherboard from eBay or somewhere else, you can disassemble your phone, then replace the old motherboard.
Hope these helps.
Thank you guys for all your support. Finally i decided to skip this problem and i will buy a new device

Just a side note , why flash existenz on a gsi rom... As it is made for stock Sony only or did I just misread something..
I had the same issue before on my lenovo p2 it lost fastboot and download mode but the PC detect it as qusb bulk then Qualcomm USB h9008 I searched all solutions but no good I think it needs some kind of box to push the modes or change the mother board. So I changed to Sony instead of repair it

Sad to ear that...
I had the same issue with my previous Htc10.
As it was still under warranty, I have had to contact HTC support and told them that and OTA bricked it.
They accepted the issue and replaced the motherboard.
I was BL unlocked, rooted and custom rom when it happened and no issue with support as they had no mean to prove it ?.
If still under warranty try to contact Sony support and tell them the same story... Ota bricks my phone ?

I've flashed eXistenZ before flash GSI in my phone. I thought GSI image would cover my origin ROM like eXistenZ, so after flash GSI image in,I flash eXistenZ again.

I have the same issue. My sony xperia xz1 G8342 got sudden dead. (Before dead, I remember I disabled "Developer Mode"). Now its not response by any mean except charging sign when i connect to Power source or PC. Xperia Flashtool shows "device connected with USB debugging disabled".
So, How Can I enter flash mode or fastboot mode? Is My phone recoverable? Please Help.
Thanks
Yesterday I was struggling with my XZ1 Compact and came across this thread that gave me some light to get my mobile phone back.
I guess it's way late for Karl now but just in case, I'm sharing my experience. I was working on my device to get LineageOS 18, as I'm a total newbie with roms I followed the different articles that were posted on Getdroidtips for this particular case: Unlocked bootloader, flashed TRWP and installled lineageos. But then I realized it would be good to have Google Play for restoring my files and apps, but when tried to reboot into recovery mode to get Gapps flashed, Black Screen Of Death started.
After that
with the phone plugged to the pc it wasn't recognized as a device (so adb or fasboot where useless)
the only thing the phone reacted to was to press and hold power + volume up (either for reset or power off)
but no matter what, next boot again BSoD
Tried the Xperia Companion but it prompted that repair was not possible as bootloader was unlocked.
Eventually found this life saver

From there, using fasboot I could reboot the device back with the LineageOS. I was still having issues with recovery boot but I'll post that on a different thread.
Thanks again to everyone for sharing thoughts and tips!

Question Phone apparently died after trying to install LineageOS Official

I tried to install LineageOS, but after some steps the phone died out of nowhere, now the power button doesnt turn on the phone and I cant access to recovery or fastboot either.
What I did was:
Unlocking bootloader
Going to fastboot
fastboot flash boot LineageRecovery.img
fastboot boot LineageRecovery.img
It didn't went to the lineage recovery and was stuck on fastboot mode, couldn't go to another mode
Tried TWRP
fastboot flash boot TWRPRecovery.img
fastboot boot TWRPRecovery.img
This time it went to TWRP recovery mode (yay)
Tried to adb sideload Lineage rom
Stopped at 40-50% out of nowhere
Tried to factory reset and other stuff, it said some stuff was missing (maybe data or other stuff, I cant remember)
Then I rebooted to system, and it was at that time where everything went blank
Now holding the power button doesnt turn on the phone, neither does holding power button and volume up/down
When the phone is plugged to the PC and I hold the power button + volume up/down the pc makes a sound like I disconnected and connected something, but it doesnt do anything.
Sorry if my english is not the best but please I need help, thank you.

Flashing dtbo.img + vendor_boot.img + boot.img is essential. With custom rom, boot.img will include recovery loss inside.

To load the original rom, you need to reload the original dtbo.img & vendor_boot.img.

It's on EDL mode apparently, can I do that on this mode?
No! If in edl mode auth authorized account is required.
After a while using custom rom RIceDroi 8.5 I have returned to Miui14.

Well I don't have an authorized account but I'm 90% sure it is on EDL mode because my pc detects it as Qualcomm QDBLoader so what am I suppose to do. Btw thanks for the fast replying

Up rom without an authorized account can still be successful if it is not locked alti ronback.
