Help me get rid of this virus! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

A few weeks back my android device was infected with some adware. This adware automatically opens the play store and installs random apps.If i uninstall the app,it immediately opens the play store again. This wasn't the first time an adware was installed on my device without my knowledge.I simply uninstall the adware from my device whenever this situation occurred however this was different. The adware had installed itself as a system app so it couldn't be uninstalled as my device wasn't rooted.I tried several antiviruses from the play store but they all required root permission.
I finally did root my device and when i ran antivirus scan it found 3 viruses but strangely enough it couldn't remove any of them. The antivirus took me to the uninstall screen and it said uninstall finished but the virus was still showing in the detected list.I managed to remove 2 of the viruses by going to their apps folder in system and uninstalling from their but this one pesky virus won't go away. It's stored under system/priv-app/ as rt.apk and while uninstalling, it's name is listed as prevail.
Any tips?

Perform a full flash of your system and it should be done away with or better still make a copy of the unaffected file from another phone and after deleting this one you put it in there and restart

Any Way To Uninstall An Immutable Apk File?

Hi, I recentl caught a virus from India Sexy Story 2 last week, it did install malware apps and I used Root Browser to uninstall it, it seems that it cannot uninstall but if it does it just comes back. It is immutable I have researched, I can't even delete or change the permission. So I was wondering if any terminal or app that could uninstall an apk? The malware app is installed to priv-app folder named appstarts.apk. Thanks! I'm looking forward to any help especially seniors.
Please lock or delete this thread, I have killed the virus using the new update of Stubborn Ghost Push Trojan Killer by Cheetah Mobile! Phew!

Google Play wont download and Media Storage keeps crashing

I use SKK Phoenix+ Tablet.
OS : Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
First of all i downloaded KingRoot Super User, so i root my phone. I used it to remove these system applications that i can't disable and uninstall. The virus installed several Download Manager system app to download some viruses and ads on my phone (which got me on a rampage). I had to remove all of the fake ones until i accidentally removed the original Download Manager that my phone used to download from Google Play and other sources. I downloaded a Download Manager from the internet (same OS and version as the old one) and i tried to test it out by Downloading a random game on Google Play. After several minutes, a pop-up says "android.process.media has stopped" and then Error (942) will pop-out at my Google Play. I can't post a screenshot of it because Media Storage wont work and it wont let me take pictures, download, screenshot or even view Gallery. Does anyone know how to fix this? or maybe provide me a firmware of my tablet? It would be helpful and a big thank to you all
I'm sorry, it's my first time fixing and root this tablet.
Clear ur google play data. This might work or not. And u shouldnt have deleted those stock apps.

memu crashes Windows 10 like all Android emulators

So when I Googled it, it said uninstall/disable avast while using it, I tried that, but it still froze my PC when even installing memu. So when I restart my computer and try to uninstal memu that wasn't fully installed, it doesn't show up in the program list for control panel, and if I try to manually delete the folder from my computer it says it's still in use.
What should I do to A) make memu work on my computer without uninstalling avast, or B) uninstall memu completely and give up trying to play FFRK on my computer while my phone is broke and I don't have money to fix it?

I think they are system app and auto updated when u connect to wifi. So dont need to worry.
i dont think so, infoprovided installed again and cleanmaster says its virus
also malwarebytes finds system upgrade app as a malware

Before you noticed the apps installed, had you installed any other apps from google play or from apk files?
I've had apps in past that showed ads and when i tried to click out of them they auto installed other apps in background.
Just out of curiosity, have you tried uninstalling them? and if yes did they come back?
And I maybe wrong on this but I think google play checks the apps on it's store for virus's, so see if the apps you mentioned are on the play store, if they are not, then it being downloaded from another source.
If thats the case, you really need to backtrack to when you first noticed them and what you had installed up to 3 or more days before you noticed them.
its not from playstore, its from a diffrent source, i uninstalled infoprovided before and return after a few days
and i found the culprit, its the FWupgradeprovider, it can install or update app without the users consent, but my device is not rooted so i cant remove it. maybe there is another way to remove it?

Please HELP!!

I hope somebody read this, I got a some specific trouble with my phone, I got a Samsung Galaxy A5, with Android 4.4.4 KitKat ( I know it's too old), I can't use Google play store anymore, so I must to look and download APK files from the web (APKpure, APKmirror, etc,). The trouble I got it's not exactly with my phone, it's with some app I downloaded from the web, the app is WaveEditor it's an audio editing app (The app is Pro Unlocked). I downloaded the file and I uploaded to virustotal.com, to know if the file had a virus, 60 antivirus told me the file is clean, so I installed in my phone and everything was alright, I use the app and any trouble, but some days after using the app I saw the info app, and I surprised myself, the app told me the space occupied was 512GB, (I couldn't taked a screenshot) it is ridiculous because of my phone got 16GB and 2GB the SD card, so after to see that I tryed to deleted the data of the app but no happens anything I tryed to uninstall the app but the phone restartg one's own. I don't open the app again. So I want to know if the app is the trouble or it's a trouble of my phone.
Go into safe mode and uninstall app. Is it set as a system Administrator?
If that fails, factory reset.
If that fails it may need to be reflashed.
Just because an app is clean when you install it doesn't prevent it from downloading its payload latter. Kitkat is vulnerable to some nasty rootkits that can worm their way out of the user partition ie Xhelper. Best to firewall block apps that don't need internet access and don't allow them to update. Karma Firewall works very well doing this.
