.... I can't get it...
Or do we need a certain TW for our POS
You need to flash the zip from this link. For the Sprint Note Edge on Marshmallow, you specifically need the alt-sdk23-arm version.

Yes. I'm on stock odex Marshmallow and I've been using the version I mentioned without trouble.
I am not responsible for exploding devices!! Nothing should go wrong, as this doesn't touch anything super-sensitive, but just in case...
Tested on Pure Nexus w/ Pure Nexus dynamic gapps. This should also work with Open GApps. (And I guess Fake Nexus, though I think the camera works well out-of-the-box on that one...?)
On (most?) current Nexus 5 Nougat ROMs, attempting to take a photo via Google Camera with HDR+ will just take a regular photo. (The included stock camera doesn't even have an HDR+ option!) The "fix" is to downgrade to an older version (2.8) of Google Camera.
Problem is, that's kind of annoying. In addition, the Play Store will keep trying to update it to the newest version unless you re-sign. Not good!
So I made a flashable zip! Just pop it onto your SD card, flash in TWRP, and the proper Google Camera will be installed, signed with a custom key to prevent the Play Store from updating it.
Enjoy!
NOTE: This does not fix the video recording issues, only the HDR+ not working. You still need to use stock camera for videos.
Changelog
11/30/2016 - Fix an extraction failure when the path to the zip has spaces, and fix the progress bar.
11/29/2016 - Fix stupid zip signing mistake.
11/28/2016 - Initial version.
Going to try it on Nitrogen OS
Yeah it's not actually a fix for the non working hdr+, it's just another workaround. But great for the people who need it! I just wouldn't call it fix for Google camera on nougar.

Error : unable to extract zip (on TWRP 3.0.2)
Tried to install on aosp 7.1 ROM...and I want to add one more thing that Im not able to find google camera in play store on this ROM.
Thanks for the apk in the zip...I was able to install it manually.

True. At the same time, a [WORKAROUND] tag isn't allowed, so that's why I used [FIX].

Sorry about that! I just updated the zip file again. I had made a mistake with regards to the way it was signed.
It should work now. If it doesn't, could you hit Copy Log inside the Advanced section of TWRP and then upload
Code:
/sdcard/recovery.log
here?

No, it's 2.8. 4.2's HDR+ doesn't work on the Nexus 5 Nougat ROMs.
I uninstalled v4 . then flashed 3.2 and unchecked google camera automatic update from playstore ( right up corner) . why to downgrade to v2.8 if v3.2 also work?

Huh...on my device, 3.2 HDR+ still didn't work.
Also, for me, I already have auto-update off, but I usually just like to click "UPDATE ALL" without the camera updating, too.

ROM issue maybe. Im currently using Fake Nexus ROM and 3.2 HDR worked fine.
This isnt actually a fix, for me GCam 3.2 works on Nougat with HDR+

Just figured it out. I updated the zip again; it should work perfectly now!
I'm on Nitrogen-os 7.1 and gcam 3.2 workshop fine
First cam uploaded works perfectly on aicp 7.1 rom.
Hdr and video.
Does not work on my Nexus 5 ABCrom_nexus_hammerhead-7.0-20161129.zip
As soon as I enable HDR+, the app force closes.
Could it be a conflict with the already installed camera?
Cheers

I can't really tell, maybe because the lib is not compatible with nougat, or some apps are missing.

It is indeed, Stock camera have good improvements as far as I know so is good having it as backup plan hehehe.
PM with the list of files or folders needed to get it started (size wise = fast upload vs 2.3gb system+boot upload )

Hype. This is awesome. Thanks @lian00
I'm interested to see if anyone can say whether or not it performs as well in low light/autofocusing as on B15. If so I'll be re-flashing LOS, as B15 is laggy as **** right now.
Cheers
Works great, just as good as it was on Stock. I'm on LOS and flashed the zip. no problems there
What is interesting is that they didn't fix the 1080p 60fps zoom bug in Nougat. How hard can it be?...

Hi, never used saop. Could you check if all files were copied by the zip?
There should be a folder in sytem/priv-app/ZTE_Camera/lib with files ending on *.so.
I'm gonna try flashing this on DU 7.1.1 ZUK Z2. Any suggestions?

Thanks @lian00 for sharing this app. I'm able to successfully install and run this cool camera app after making a new flashable zip file (since the original zip provided by this post will not work in my case due to some uncertain reasons) on my Samsung Galaxy S5 (running LOS 14.1). This is a feature rich camera app although many features are broken on my S5. I hope it will work on any other LOS and AOSP based nougat ROMs. If someone is interested, feel free to try with the original or my zip file. A link to screen cast video from my Dropbox is here.

currently this rom does not work for sm-g550t1 the sound does not work although I have been working on the sound fix and may be close to a fix. I will let the dev know of my work and have him post it for all
camera does not work on G550FY. Volte does not work even after following the link you gave.. goes into loop and restarts again and again
on G550T camera not work
Anyone Still Out There?
I'm amazed that after the amount of time and people that have sought out for a working On5 g550t1 resolution there has been no success. I've looked everywhere with no luck on getting sound on my On5 and it is my main phone. If anyone has anything that will bring the On5 MeroPCS G550T1 back to working please fill me in. I've got Reborn and Enigma to install but neither have sound or camera. Sound most important!

Marshmallow is better than Lollipop. BTW You can't just push apps to /system and expect they will work.

Lollipop is much faster than Marshmallow on my E2363, I used to get 36K+ on antutu, with Marshmallow I barely reach 28K.
There's some annoyng bugs on Marshmallow that makes me get pissed off, like when I plug my headphone and I have to turn volume up or down to make it sound... Also, I can't just flash SuperSU and expect it to work, I have to flash a boot image to get SuperSU on it, and I can't easily update binaries.
Yeah, small things, but I like it simpler and working, and lollipop was doing that better than Marshmallow for me. I didn't miss anything but this...

Yeah, I am aware of that. I would propably need to patch some things first...
I forget about the jar files, on "framework" folder...
Thanks man. I ended up making a backup and installing Marshmallow myself to copy everything I needeed. BTW it didn't work...
