Question about bootloader unlock. - Sony Xperia M4 Aqua

Hello,
I have M4 Aqua with latest 26.3.A.0.131 installed and I want to root it and get recovery using this method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/root-t3421932
Service menu says that bootloader unlock is allowed, but after I try to unlock it with flashtool (it says it unlocked bootloader) it says in same place that rooting is unavailable.
I tried to downgrade to 5.0 and try again, same results. Can someone help me please?
Edit:
Okay. I solved it. If you have the same problem, go to developer options, switch "Enable OEM unlocking" and try again.
Can mod edit the title and add Solved tag for it?

Oops, didn't see the bottom of your post nvm.

[Q] cant update z2,cant verify

Hey guys,
I got a problem.
Bought a second hand z2 today and it sayt it got a update 17.1.2.A.0.314
When I dontload it it sayt cant verify, same with pc companion, but then it says this phone has custom software or something.
I suspect, unlocked bootloader, but when I try to relock bootloader with flash tool it sayt, this phone can not be unloaded officialy?
Someone know how I can fix this?
and is there a way how to check if bootloader is unlocked, like Samsung when u boot with power button and volume up.
Thnx
Go to your dialer and enter *#*#7378423#*#*. Then go to Service Info -> Configuration. What is indicated under Rooting status?
If it says "Bootloader unlock allowed - Yes", this means that your bootloader is still locked but can be unlocked.
If it says "Bootloader Unlocked - Yes", then it means that your bootloader is already unlocked.
If it says "Bootloader unlock allowed - No", then it means your bootloader can never be unlocked.
If your bootloader is indeed unlocked and you want to flash stock firmware, you cannot use PC Companion. You need to use Sony Flash Tool instead.
I faced the same problem. If you have modified any system files (like build.prop) or removed/uninstalled any system apps, then it will error out with the "can't verify".
Just revert all changes you made, re-install and system apk u removed, and try again.

Xperia M4 Aqua (E2303) - Root with LOCKED BOOTLOADER (Bootloader unlock allowed: No)

Sony Xperia M4 Aqua (E2303) Root Guide
For devices with LOCKED BOOTLOADER (Bootloader unlock allowed: No)
I searched for days, weeks and months to find a way to root my Xperia M4 Aqua E2303 phone without any luck at all.
The problem is that every guide I could find means having to first unlock your bootloader before being able to root.
Dialling *#*#7378423#*#* will give you the 'Service Info' menu, and tapping 'Configuration' will give you more information.
Under 'Rooting Status' you will see Bootloader unlock allowed: No. If this is not the case, then I don't know if this guide will help you. However, if this IS the case, then the below allowed me to root my device.
My device info:
Android Version: 5.0 Lollipop
Kernel Version: 3.10.49
Build Number: 26.1.A.3.111
Disclaimer: I will not accept any responsibility for your device. You are using this guide and any linked files AT YOUR OWN RISK. Due to Bootloader being locked, this guide doesn't include flashing the recovery! I am sharing this in the hope that it will help someone having the same problems I did.
So, here we go.
1) Dial *#*#7378423#*#* then tap 'Configuration' then look under 'Rooting Status'. If it says 'Bootloader unlock allowed: No' then go to step 2.
2) Download the kit at http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=28364310233527948260
3) Unzip the kit. Make sure you have installed your Xperia M4's drivers including fastboot and ADB. These are also included in the kit you have just downloaded if you do not already have them.
4) Turn on your phone. Go to 'Settings' then go to 'About Phone'. Keep tapping on 'Build number' and you will unlock developer options.
5) Go to 'Settings' then go to 'Developer Options'. Tick 'Enable OEM unlock' and 'USB debugging'. Also UNTICK 'Verify apps over USB'.
6) Make sure your phone is well charged, and plug in your phone via USB cable. A message will appear asking if you give your PC debugging permission. Tick 'Always choose this option' and then tap 'Allow'.
7) On your computer, go to the kit you unzipped in Step 3 and go to the rootkitXperia_E23xx_26.1.X.3.xxx folder.
8) Double click on 'Install.bat' and an automated Command Prompt will open up (looks like DOS)
9) The bat file will send all the required files and scripts to your phone. When complete, your phone will restart.
10) When your phone has restarted, the Command Prompt will say 'Press any key to continue'. Push any key and the Command Prompt will close. If not, I am told the Rootkit can be run again until it works - however it worked first time for me.
If all has gone well, your phone will now be rooted and will have the SuperSU app installed. Download 'Root Checker Basic' from the app store to verify your root status.
The Rootkit files used were found at a similar thread here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/development/root-xm4aqua-e2303-bolek-t3340399). This post/guide aims to be a more in-depth and approachable method for those not so comfortable working it out for themselves.
You're a lifesaver! Thanks so much I was stuck after having Bootloader Unlocked: No
Only problem is I don't have the usual feeling of satisfaction because of messing around with fastboot commands for hours that I usually do as this was so easy :/

No "Enable OEM unlock" options in developer settings

Hey guys, I just tried to unlock my bootloader. I have obtained the unlock code and everything. I try to execute this command
Code:
fastboot oem unlock XXXX
, I always get stuck at
Code:
waiting for devices
1. I have updated my device drivers.
2. For some odd reason, the toggle for "Enable OEM unlock" is not present in the developer options.
3. Now, I have updated my KIW-L22 to B340 version recently. Maybe the toggle is removed in the recent update. Is there not any way to bring back that toggle so that I can unlock my bootloader?
Please guys, I need your help with this, if anyone has ever encountered this before, please tell me how to bring it back.

I had the same issue you don't need to toggle the option on marshmallow. The error looks like you need to do a sudo fastboot if your using linux.
The only other thing to remember is you need to remove the factory reset protection (frp) see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/help/unlock-bootloader-issues-kiw-t3411032

Just because that option is not available does not mean your bootloader is locked, plus you can unlock using ADB.
Just enable usb debug only

This option is not there in Marshmallow. not sure if there is still a way to unlock as this option itself is not there...try enabling USB debugging couple of times and see if it prompt you for authorisation. if it does, you can still do the required things.

If you are in lollipop it will be there but if u r on marshmallow then it wont be there. Just enable usb debugging and you r good to proceed.

I cant find mine either, but i have a suspicion that they just removed/edited the files to just have one state of locked and no controls or commands to unlock it.
Find out the file name and path for the "OEM unlock" setting in the developer options.
then search for it using the ADB, if the files aren't there then you might need to put the phone in to download mode and "sideload" the the full files back on to it.. if it's possible.
it might be more complicated than that. that's what i would've done as a Carrier if i wanted to keep modders and phone thieves out.
also on my Carrier phone when i put it into Download mode it seems to run like there own unlock before it does anything else, might need to run that first to unlock the lock so you can unlock it...
this is kind of a BS response, but at least it's an idea to look into. Sorry.
also you could try loading PDANet to see if the device will recognise.

To unlock the boot loader you need to have the ADT with all the packages installed and configured.
Later once the configuration is done properly then you can connect your device and enable USB Debugging under the options.
Download Modaco’s Superboot files and save them to your computer.
Once downloaded, extract it by right clicking and extract all.
On your phone, click on Settings > Developer Options > Turn USB Debugging On.
Plug the device in to your computer via USB cable.
Open the superboot folder that we just extracted (until you see the folder with fastboot-windows inside it), then hold the shift key down on your computer and right click any blank area.
Now, select open command window here.
In the command prompt, type the following with hitting enter at the end of each line.
adb-windows reboot bootloader (and wait for the device to reboot)
fastboot-windows oem unlock
(If it gets stuck at waiting for device here, download and install PDANet on your computer, once installed, unplug then plug the device back in and see if that fixes it)
Once it runs the device should display a screen asking you if you are sure. Click yes using the volume buttons. The device will go back to the bootloader screen but say unlocked at the bottom.

Never applied for unlocking bootloader, Not even showing to apply

i just tried to unlock my bootloader, i went to apply, but it didn't asked for applying it showed straight 'unlock now' and told to download the software, i logged in to the software and it told me to go to fastboot and press unlock i did that but stucked at 50% i am using latest global fastboot 6.8.18 and find my phone and all is done already,
Did the direct confirmation of unlocking request has to do something with it??
a help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Well the 50% stuck is known issue, try flashing the China Dev ROM and then try to unlock
Try unlocking unofficially to save time and effort. It works beautifully.

Samsung C7 SM-C7000 Factory Locked Failed Root

Hello,
I've been trying to Root my Samsung C7 SM-C7000 phone but I keep getting the error that my phone is factory locked.
Is there a way to overcome this or unlock the phone?
I have read some threads about Enabling OEM Unlock in Developer Options, unfortunately this OEM Unlock is not available in my Developer Options menu no matter how much I tried getting it available by resetting dates.. etc.
Can anyone please help?
Can anyone help regarding this matter please??
Help Please!
Help Please!
@KHAWaNAWA
If option OEM unlock isn't offered in Developer options then phone's boot-loader can't get unlocked: Live with it.
Is it confirmed that OEM unlocking cannot be turned on on my device?
It's Samsung Galaxy C7 SM-C7000
Only to have said it: To root device's Android ( Android 6.0.1 ? ) it's not a prerequisite that phone's boot-loader got unlocked before.
The software on it is Android 8.0.0
I have tried to Root it and it said Factory locked.

You probably did it the wrong way.
Well in the download mode it shows me "Installation Failure" and under it
"You need to unlock your device to install a custom OS"
"For more information how to unlock visit samsung.com/cn"
I have even tried Rooting by going through recovery mode then selecting Reboot into Boot-loader, Same error.
@KHAWaNAWA
Look inside here.
Tried that too, same error still, phone is locked.
