I got my DNA 3 days ago
everything are fine until i found out that I can't check updates for my phone
(it shows only with CDMA network) and I don't live in US so I'm using GSM network
was trying to unlock and flash custom ROM but the thing is my phone already got OTA update to version 2.04.605
as I know this version can't be unlock so don't even mention about flash CMV and what not.
Is there any chance that I could just downgrade back to version 1.15.605?
I also am trying to figure out how downgrade so that I can root. Im not exactly sure how to root but from what I read I need to be on 1.x.x.x instead of the 2.x.x.x . Please help I searched and this what I found
I fully flashed my evo to metropcs using qpst, cdma workshop, and another program and i was wondering if there was any possible way to flash back to sprint? latest bootloader and stock rom. help please
From my understanding, the new T-Mobile OTA to 4.4 should bring us a new version of hboot and radio.
According to a firmware flashing post in the main HTC One forum, wifi calling is baked into T-Mobile's radio.
Now that I want to go to a 4.4.2 custom ROM, I have two questions.
How do ViperOne and InsertCoin manage to incorporate Wifi calling if the functionality is baked into the radio? Or does this mean they have the new radio and I will get all the optimizations supposedly to come with a new version?
I understand that Hboot version 1.56 is coming with 4.4. I'm currently on 1.55. Does this have any implications on me updating? Should I wait for the OTA update then convert to a custom ROM since technically, if I do it right now, I'm on a different base?
I'm really confused since this is my first HTC phone. My old Sony never was this complicated.

I'm going to be upgrading my friends phone to 4.4
He's on stock 4.2 and he can't update. It's a verizon phone with Tmobile. Would I have to unlock the phone all over again when I install another ROM after root and custom recovery. I'm not sure how all this works. If it's already unlocked for T Mobile I don't want to erase the unlock. Is there anything to be aware of

but updating by this procedure,,,,will it relock my phone again from at&t carrier.

No, RUU will not SIM lock the phone again.
If the bootloader is unlocked, you need to relock.
But if the phone isn't modifed (bootloader unlock, root, etc.) then just backup you personal data (RUU will wipe the phone) and run the RUU.

I have same device with same issue as it's an at&t device and i'm no longer in their service so i decided to update my phone using RUU.
Bro so did you update to 5.0.2 using RUU?
and did the device stayed in unlocked mode (for other carieer)
would like to hear your experience (good and bad both)
