Hey all this is DILEEP, I am looking to buy Note 4 , i am FLASHOLIC , love to test new ROM's and mods . my current device is Honor 8,9 **cough** Development is dead ,there are no new updates till 3 months .
Redmi Note 4 --- >owwwww yeahh!! the sections are really active and Tons of ROM's ready to load &flash.
My questions are :
1. Is this still worth ||| please don't misunderstand this device is really worth but will the development alive until the 9.0 Custom Rom releases ??
2.Is the device is good? duarable ? rough handling ?
3.Will i wait for the next release of Xiaomi ?
Please Give your views on Redmi note 4 .
ORIs there any suggestions to other devices with Active sections :: ROM's ?? . You can also suggest me another phone .
And when is the release of Note 5 , or i have to wait for Note5 ?

This has hold so much, development is really unlikely to die. I wouldn't call it super durable, same goes for most modern phones. The back cover already has dents on mine, in less than a month. I'd say you go for it and not care too much.

I know the feeling. Used to be a flashaholic now i'm a simpler man.
if you are a normal user that seeking for nice battery phone i think its still worth it , but this phone is not for gaming, u will facing lagg an some fps drop when playing higher graphic game , redmi note 3 pro are the better choice , balanced between battery and performance .
Consider that, at this moment, all Oreo rom have fingerprint sensor not working. Maybe it will be fixed, but who knows.
I know the redmi note 5 is around the corner but would have still bought note 4 again,if I were to!

Yes bro , in this week may be tomorrow or day after tomorrow i will buy one. finally giving my honor 8 to my mom yeayyy
Xiaomi will provide updates for this device for at least a year and the development is great. With the release of MIUI 9 the phone is lightning fast and buttery smooth. Camera quality is better and has excellent battery backup. So u can buy this or u can probably wait till xiaomi releases redmi note 5 as it is rumored to have a 18:9 display ratio. U can wait. But here the custom roms development is great with many Android oreo based roms available with low bugs.

Hi. Didn't quite know what sub-topic to post this in so forgive me if it's the wrong one. Anyway, I want to buy a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 phone and need to know the following:
- is the GPS/navigation feature any good? This is crucial to me since I'll be relying on it to get me where I'll need to go. Are there any reported problems with it?
- is the screen display bright or at least readable in sunlight? My current crap android phone is utterly useless in direct sunlight, or even just outside on a sunny day.
This will be my first high performance android phone. Will be upgrading from a cheap Unimax U673c phone. I plan to use it with Red Pocket Mobile service on this plan. I live in western Massachusetts. Thanks for any help.
This forum is for other device. Go to redmi note 5 pro forum (global version doesn't have the pro but xda named it with Indian version name with pro).
Anyway on redmi 5 plus gps works very well and for me the brightness is correct outside when sunny. I think for redmi note 5 will be the same...

I was a proud owner of Sony Z3C, but it's touchscreen and audio jack died, so after some research I switched to Note 5 Whyred.
I enjoy amateur photography - I read that the sensors in this phone are good, and I think they are yet I can't control shutter speed?
I plan on unlocking the bootloader in about 7 days, so I wanted to prepare in the meantime.
So my main question(s) would be : Is there a good rom for light use that benefits multimedia such as photography/video recording, while retaining or improving battery life? I am not a gamer anymore xD And is there any app/rom/anything that can help me with advanced camera controls (I plan on enabling Camera2API, but I would like shutter speed control and exposure time).

Solved I guess? - I went with the Redmi Note 9S 6/128GB. The charging is fast enough and NFC is basically a fanciful thing where I live. The 64MP cam alone doesn't justify to me the possibility of losing out on custom ROMs and late stage device support.

if u love custom rom everyday go for xiaomi . the realme doest hve any custom rom if u go their thread

i'm looking to buy this mi note 10 lite but i'm really scared about the touchscreen lag and ghost issue is it still there ?? any fix ?? update or something ?? because i have a mi 9 lite and i don't wanna face this kind of issues with expensive phone please tell me does this problem fixed or not yet ??
I had mi 9 lite before mi note 10 lite... Mi 9 lite selfie is much better.. and back 48mp camera is also better.. The only thing on cameras on mi note 10 lite that is better is video stabilization.. also battery life is better and cpu runs cooler on mi note 10 lite...
Touch issue is still a problem on me.. but not in games .. only on keyboards.. i can type fast and sometimes its ghosting...
