Hi anyone know how to enable soft keys on CM13? Is it like built into the ROM? Not a fan of hardware buttons

You have to use some file browser that has root access, like x-plore, solid Explorer, etc. The build.prop file is in /system/

I've turned on soft keys but now is it possible to disable to capacitive ones? Or can I only turn off the brightness on them?

I have a Redmi (HM 1W). But I just can't seem to root it.
There is a Security application that has an option to enable root, but it is grayed out: i.imgur.com / zkMqNyZ.png
I tried to install TWRP. No success. Root Checker says it is not yet rooted.
Please help. Any suggestions are welcome

There's nothing hard about it. Go to official v4a website. Download apk, install it, launch it, install the drivers.
You're done.
If you want to get rid of it you just uninstall the driver.

V4a is a must have for me. It makes a huge difference, especially when using custom irs configs.
Try it and you won't regret it.
Oh, and make sure to choose advanced ui.
Small tip: if you will get some weird distortions, then enable firequalizer.

That's not possible AFAIK.
May be possible
Another tweak I found to wake your Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus simply by double tapping the screen.
To activate this:
1. You must have rooted phone.
2. File manager with root access.
Method:
1. Go to root/sys/ANDROID_TOUCH.
2. Open doubletap2wake with any text editor.
3. Change the value "0" to "2".
4. Save.
5. Restart your phone.
6. Done

Yes, it could work, only if you have custom kernel with wake options implemented.
Not with stock...

what you know how to implement this? i asked this to many developers, but no one helped me.
i don't keep the phone without it, and custom kernels have problems.

Hello, guys I just found a way to activate the newly introduced google lens...... You need Custom ROM( Android 7+)
1>> open root Explorer ( use Es explorer or mix explorer)
go to /system >>data>> and open build. prop
change
2>>'ro.product.model=Redmi note 3' to 'ro.product.model=Pixel 2 XL'
3>>"ro.product.brand=Xiaomi ' to 'ro.product.brand=Google"
4>>"ro.product.manufacturer=Xiaomi" to "ro.product.manufacturer=Google"
5>> then add 'ro.opa.eligible_device=true' at the end
Then go and Download or updated Google app to latest beta
you will find the button in the right corner
Enjoy :?

Wrong.
With unlocked bootloader user can boot in TWRP(not required flash) and:
Flash zip file to enable camera 2 or pull build.prop to computer, edit and push to Phone.

Well this what u write is still root access. If u have ability to modify/edit system files in android it means ROOT.
