Still Runnig Jelly Bean MJ4 - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

A long time ago in a far away galaxy at a place known as SDX Developers I started my Android quest with the Samsung Moment . I moved on to the Epic 4G touch and then the S3 for a long time. I bought the Note 3 when it was new and I have always loved it. And to this day I'm still rocking the Note 3 with a rooted-stock and VERY customized MJ4 (Jelly Bean) . I think I'm ready to upgrade but I know that once I do I can never go back.
So, before I take the plunge that so many of you have taken. What advice and or tips can my XDA peeps provide me?
I plan on completely wiping the phone and flashing stock before I do anything.

With MJ4 you can unlock for domestic Sim use.

Unlocked for AT&T?

Is the Verizon Galaxy S4 usable on AT&T? I know it's unlocked but wasn't sure if it's unlocked for att. Having to switch to att and hoping I can use my phone. Someone said if it works I would probably only get hspa+ . Any advice will be great.

That link shows how to update the mega for gear compatibility. Samsung released an update to the sgh-i527 mega a few months ago for this. There are full instructions there that show u how to check the version u are running and insttall and verify if needed. Hope that helps.

Kit Kat closer for Sprint Users..

My wife and son have htc one's with Sprint, and they got the kit kat update this morning...I assume that means its very very close for the Sprint one max..
well, i guess not unfortunately... as per LlabTooFeR, it was under testing a few days ago, i would not expect it too soon.

Having a quick look at http://www.htc.com/us/go/htc-software-updates/
The status says Integration for HTC one MAX for both Verizon and Sprint

I bet it comes to the one max this week...now, how much longer after that until its in a custom rom, 'cause most of us will not go back to stock just to get an OS update....or will we??
I guess me personally, I don't see a major advantage going through all the hassle of locking the phone all back up stock if I can get the same features on a ROM that sports the 4.4 Kit Kat features. I mean firmware updates, yeah maybe a loss, but risking hboot changes.. Na not till someone else tries it Haha

I am going to stock soon, just to get the OTA update and then upload it here. The only dev who had the international unlocked version was @navalynt and he was unfortunately bricked the phone He was the first dev to post a custom ROM for the MAX!
really wish it reaches early, but expect that to happen. keeping fingers crossed.
I think the dev's can quickly update the base, but the original One is going to keep them busy too!
---------- Post added at 03:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:47 AM ----------
And Oh, i got to keep root keeper during the OTA to keep ROOT! or try to manually flash the OTA with keeping it unlocked ( dont know if that is possible)
well, i am more worried about the kernel sources. this is getting completely totally out of bounds for HTC to keep the kernel sources for such a long time!
According to the Roadmap Verizon Max just went to Certification ... Sprint Max is still in Integration.

The url http://www.htc.com/us/go/htc-software-updates/ is the US version of the site.
You need http://www.htc.com/uk/go/htc-software-updates/ for the UK.
http://www.htc.com/ca/go/htc-software-updates/ for Canada.
Those regions seem to be the only ones they are showing update progress reports on.

[Q] att mega

I don't see many thread on the AT&T version. Do we have anyone actually working on unlocking the boot loader?
Had a couple of devs look at it but no go thus far. Don't think anyone is actively doing anything. Just living with root and exposed with wanam for now. Don't know if this phone will ever get bootloader unlocked or bypassed. I've learned to accept that and have a nook hd for my flashaholic needs.

I've pretty much given up on the device.
Hoping there'll be a Mega 2 or another Samsung device with a 6 inch plus screen.
How did they break the bootloader on the note 3?

They didnt. They danced around it. Its called a safety strap which keeps the bootloader and basically fools the system to thinking it is being used, while tapping other resources and running the alternate operating system. My terminology sucks, but you get it, right.

Simply put, there where a lot on interest on the device. not so much on the Mega. My offer still stand to any brave developer who wants to venture on braking the Mega wide open!. just let me know where do I need to send it to.
