Hello I am facing the issue of ping spikes in my phone and easiest example to demonstrate this issue is delay in sending of messages in Whatsapp and Telegram and also sudden drops in speeds while downloading something or running a speedtest from ookla speedtest app. I am attaching an image to help you guys better understand this issue. Please help me fix this as I want to avoid service center at all cost.
Some flashback to this issue- I got it in DU for a day but before I flashed another ROM to check for same it disappeared automatically and I never cared to check for it again. 2 days back I clean flashed Zephyr-OS and this **** returned.
Thanks for help
P.S. No lag in other devices so router isn't an issue.

Try setting static unused IP to your device. I am not sure though. Just give it a try!..
Just Press on the WiFi network if already connected->Forget Network
Then Click on it again. Enter password and click on Advanced options enter your IP and Gateway and DNS as 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Submit your 3G speed test results:
1.) Download the Speedtest.net app
2.) Turn your Wi-Fi off
3.) Launch the app and press Begin Test
4.) Take a screen capture of the Results page
5.) Attach it using the Choose File button
6.) Type your Area Code or City in the text box
7.) Click Submit
Sprint’s advertised 3G speeds are: 600kbps to 1400kbps (1.4mbps)

"I thought I messed up my phone a few days ago, and have been trying EVERYTHING to fix it! (Countless nandroids back to Sense from CM7; to update PRL & Profile...)
And it turns out it's because of the massive amount of new iPhone users on Sprint's already slow/over-stuffed network!
If you are also affected, please post your Speedtest.net pic on there and let's hope Sprint hears us!"

Hello
i found a bug !!!
with 2.3.4 (0.62 firmware) and 802.1x EAP protected network, there is no way to do work wifi.
If i set the Phase 2 autentication in Maschpv2 and save it, the system doesn't save it really, en fact if i go again in "modify network", phase 2 autentication shows "none". Thisi is a native android bug unsolved with ICS and affects most of the terminals of all brands (samsung, htc, sony etc.) from 2.2 to 4.0.3 but .... with the Sony build 3.0.xxx.145 this didn't happen .
Now i can't use wifi at my college with this protection protocol.
Is there a fix for a non rooted phone?
Noone can say me something?
Sony support say me they tried in your 802.1x protected network, and the wifi work, but i'm sure this only happened for me until build 3.0.xxx .
Then, here there is the official android ticket
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=15631#makechanges
I have noticed it too. It does save the phase-2 verification, because I can connect normally to the network, but as soon as you modify the network you must set it again.
My university's network uses PAP by the way.

Hi, I'm just wondering why os services is draining my data so much (I know that mb of data is nothing but this thing is annoying)? I'm using Droidwall which allows network connection only for GG (national communicator) and Opera.

Think that os services includes things like sync so it will use a bit of data, its not 'stealing' it.
Well, they do send some info. The kernel and os send marketing info to millenialmedia's IP for target adds and several other IP (check Droidwall's Log and enjoy a paranoid experience tracking the Ips with google)

274kb is nothing like. I use a gig a month.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using Tapatalk 2
yes it does.. if you dont want this to happen.
swtich off the auto sync.. and use pdroid patch and remove network access to the apps that you do not want to access your internet
It does nothing. It just remain there. The one in the far left, the first icon. What in the world is it?

Don't worry about the 1X. I've been trying to force the device to obey my command to update the PRL so that the connection be 3G/4G. Just want to know what the first icon in the notification is and if it can be removed.
Location service disabled. I have to say one thing though - i found this on google in exactly 2 minutes ( I have very slow internet ). Maybe you could do your own searching and find answers to your questions. Your behaviour could be considered rude here
I have tried and tried on Google for several days. I just didn't know what words to look for. I've also tried on Yahoo. I apologize of I seem rude, I'm really having a hard time to understand many things. I was hoping that the icon was what caused the connection to be stuck at 1X. I'm about to go to the store for help to get it to be 3G/4G either fix or replace. I will see if the people at the store can remove the location icon. I'm new to EVO 3D and its older style of Android.
Over the years on various devices and versions of Android and with various SMS apps, I have on rare occasions run into an issue where I cannot retrieve an MMS message from my carrier, which has almost always been T-Mobile USA.
The current example shows up like this in Hangouts:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Says "New MMS message to download: size is xxxxKB, expires on mm/dd, hh:mm. Message not downloaded. Tap to retry"
And when I try to "tap to retry", it claims to be downloading but always reverts to the above state:
Says "Downloading" for a short time
Definitely seems to happen when I had a weak signal at the point when I first received the MMS.
Any idea how to fix this? If I switch to a different default SMS app, will that app be aware of this un-downloaded MMS and give me an opportunity to download it, or will it be lost? Is this a carrier issue or a device issue? My device is rooted. Many people have posted all over the place about this issue but the answers are widely varied so there seems to be no clear solution. I have not messed with my APN settings. Most MMS are received without issue.
Note: Nexus 6P running 6.0.1 stock (rooted) with Hangouts 8.0.116581895
