for everyone that lost tabs with the chrome update on april 25th 2016 By per app settings in xposed, here is a link to the last version of chrome that works on SAMSUNG devices. yes, i know tablet mode still works on htc and lg devices but whatever google did on their end for compatibility on samsung devices has us all screwed up.
chrome arm 49.0.2623.105 for 5.0 (but 4.1 version also installs on my 5.1 and mm builds)

hope this helps people that have been stuck using firefox or opera just to have tabs. it sure kept me from jumping from my note 3 and 4 to the lg v10 or nexus 6.

Not sure if any of you are familiar with this app. Brief history, this app started on the PC, then migrated to mobile. Apple and Play store drop it because of piracy. And the company completely shut down in 2014. But the app still lives if can find the right version to work with your phone. So after some trial and error with newer android phones. The latest processor to work with the app is Snapdragon 801. So it is running on my xperia Z2 and Z3. Since the app has not been updated, I guess it is limited to 2014 phones.
The wife wants a iphone 6, and I know it will not work on the latest ios 9, since I have tried on my friends phone. I was wonder is anyone has a IOS 8 iphone 6, and is willing to try to install the app. On IOS 9 the app was killed, it will not open when install and after deleting the re-stall fails. So Apple has completely blocked this app. Maybe in IOS 8 there are still some loopholes.
No jailbreak needed. To download, search for kuaibo download, open in safari and see if it installs and opens. You will be given 2 options based on the device you go into the website, it will auto detect you have a apple device. Select the top link, and wait for install. The funny thing is this app still works on older versions of IOS.
If this work, I will need to hunt down a IOS 8 iphone 6. Sigh...
I can't seem to find the SIP settings in the Phone app, did LG cut this feature?
Using Activity Launcher i was able to find com.android.services.telephony.sip.SipSettings in com.android.phone but it looks like it does crash when adding a new profile.
Same here. Did you manage to find the settings? Advanced Options is greyed out...
Same here. Apparently LG removed it...
Motorola also had this removed from my previsous moto X play.
I have only used it on Nexus 5x.
same here?
Apparently the stock OS on the LG G5 of my father is missing this part of the GUI too. (fail) This G5 is from Fido in Canada but I do not know if that matters in this case.
my workaround

The G5 of my father is now mine. I upgraded the stock OS in place from Android OS 7 to 8 but still could not use the native SIP support of the Android OS. With Activity Launcher, I can open the com.android.services.telephony.sip.SipSettings screen but this screen is blank. I did not try whilst still running Android OS 7 because I wanted to upgrade the OS in place before spending lots of time customising things so that I do not lose that time in case the in place upgrade of the OS failed. I wanted to continue using my VoIP.ms SIP/IAX account so I tried using a softphone application as a workaround. SIPdroid seemed to work but finding the PSTN number to call seemed awkward and SIPdroid seems to lack a speakerphone function so I tried Zoiper because it was mentioned by a user review of SIPdroid in the Google Play Store that mentioned the lack of a speakerphone function in SIPdroid. Zoiper seems to work well so far: finding the PSTN number to call was easy and the speakerphone function seemed to work. I wish the LG G5 had an AMOLED display instead of an IPS AMLCD but now the G5 seems able to fully replace my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 running the now too antiquated Android OS 4.4 . I insist on having an easily removable battery so the Galaxy Note 4 is the last in the Galaxy Note series I can use. My father now uses a Galaxy Note 4, which is why he gave me his LG G5.
Hello all, last night my Nexus 5X completely **** the bed -- bootloader freezes seem to be a typical thing with this device, as most Nexus 5X owners are aware. At the time of its unfortunate demise, the Nexus 5X was running Android O Developer Preview 3. Until the Pixel 2 comes out, I've got an older Nexus 6 running the July refresh of Android 7.1.1. The issue here seems to be with the standard Google Backup Transport. Specifically, I can't get the Nexus 6 (on Android 7.1.1) to recognize any form of Cloud backup of the Nexus 5X (on Android 8.0.0) and so I can't restore the settings from the dead Nexus 5X to the very much alive Nexus 6. With older handsets I was always given the option to restore data from other devices that I had tied to my Google account even before Google switched to the Google Drive-based backup solution. Now it seems that ever since I put Android O on my Nexus 5X that anything before Android O just can't see that data. This was also the case when I attempted to revert my Nexus 5X back to 7.1.1.. Even though it was the same device, it wouldn't recognize the Cloud backup that was generated from Android O. Is this typical of Developer Previews?
My problem here is that the only previously-active device on my Google account was the Nexus 5X. It had all of my saved settings tied to it. When trying to configure this Nexus 6, I am missing out on my list of applications, custom dictionary, wifi networks, date / time preferences, and all of that other goodness. With all of that said.. Am I completely boned? It would be a shame to lose years of custom dictionary additions, among other things. I know it's not the end of the world but it's definitely obnoxious..
Thanks in advance.
Hi
First time post in this forum - hope someone can help me.
Just getting back to driving after lockdown and have noticed a problem with using Android Auto app. My P20 lite connects to the cars Infotainment system using USB cable via Android Auto app. I use this for navigation using Google maps, I also use Telegram for messaging, and VCL or Spotify for music.
When Android Auto loads, the Launcher function, which allows you to choose whichever app you want does not work and you are stuck with whatever app you last used. The area where other app shortcuts should be displayed is blank. One time in 10, it will work normally. My car is a 2017 Skoda Octavia estate with a Bolera head unit. Here are the things I have done so far to try to remedy the situation :
1 Replace the USB cord (twice)
2 Update the head-units firmware /software to the latest version
3 Update all phone software - Maps, and all other software to latest versions
4 Tried 2 other Android devices* both worked OK
* ( Google Pixel 3a with Android 11,Samsung S2 tablet with Android 7 and my P20 running Android 9)
5 I have also disabled most Huawei apps and the Huawei ID - anything which ad the ability to work over other apps or had the ability to write its own settings.
Now I'm out of Ideas. Any help much appreciated
I bought a new Samsung Galaxy a03s from T-Mobile about a week ago. I tried to turn on bedtime mode yesterday but it's not in my settings or my Clock app. I also don't have Bixby on my phone (not complaining but still worth mentioning). Any way I could fix this?
What android version do you have? If its android 11 - 12 it should be in Clock app in Alarms section. If its android 13 then it should be in Modes And Routines, which you can find in settings or once again in Clock app.
So I just found out for some reason it's bundled in a separate app in the Galaxy Store, one called '[T OS] Modes and Routines'. At this point I don't need it so it's fine but still, it's odd that it isn't built into the OS like with my old Revvl 6 5G running Android 12.
Also for clarification, I run Android 13.
