Hello please give me method to unlock bootloader unofficial official request not accepted xiaomi
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk
please for redmi 3s too, great work so far!
this is redmi 3 forum not the redmi note 3, you are in the wrong place mate.
Wasted almost my entire Saturday on this, because no one seems to gather this info. I'm posting here because I can't create a new thread. Instructions are for Redmi3, but should be the same for Redmi Note 3 as well.
Due to limitations on my account, I can't post links. all links are missing en . miui . com
You can't unlock a phone one anything other than Chinese Developer ROM!!! Take the latest from here: /a-234.html
1. Apply for an unlock code here: /unlock
you should receive a response in a few days. Unlock code is valid for 30 days, so don't mock about.
2. Follow this guide to flash the developer rom: /thread-228048-1-1.html
- don't forget to get the latest Chinese Developer ROM from here: /a-234.html
- as of now, this is the latest Mi Flash Tool: /thread-272376-1-1.html
3. After flashing, boot to fastboot mode. Power off, press volumne-down AND power at the same time. Connect via USB to computer. Start Mi Unlock app (you get it in Step 1). Make sure you are logged in with your Mi Account both on your phone and App. Run the app to unlock your phone.
Hope that helps
Later edit: I only just now saw you meant you were rejected. Sorry, I can't help there.

hi, im currently using xiaomi redmi note 3 snapdragon with miui 8.0.1.0 global rom, i want to ask how unlock bootloader and root the my phone ?
Have you applied for permissions from Mi Website?
If no, click here to get started http://en.miui.com/unlock/
After you apply you must wait at least 2-3 days(up to two weeks) for your account to get permissions. To find out if you have permissions simply download the Miflash unlock tool from the Mi website, enter with your account(the same you use to your phone for the Mi services) and the program will let you see if you have permissions to unlock the bootloader. If so, simply click the unlock button. The process will take around 30-60 seconds. If the counter goes to 100% then you have successfully unlocked the bootloader. As for the root this video seemed to work for me:
Hi,
I am trying to officially unlock for two weeks now.
I just get stuck at 50 with the Cannot Verify issue.
Opened a bug report here. Would be nice, if some of you with the same issues could support it.

Thanks!

just don't make any change on your phone and your mi account for about a week
Just wanna clear things up! Kate can be officially unlocked,
I had already done that way back in July.
Steps taken by me.
1. Boot into EDL mode
2. Flash Global Developer Rom
3. Login to MI account on the phone
4. Boot into Fastboot mode
5. Unlock with official tool
Tried everything and now flashing Dev Rom in EDL Mode
Still no more than 50%
I have unlock permission but fails at 50%.
Gonna wait for a few days before trying it again.
Apparently you can flash TWRP/root via this method without unlock the BL.

I updated to Global Developer with the updater app.
Had to reflash the rom with EDL, because it didn't accept my passcode any more (two weeks ago).
Still doesn't work.
My bug report has attracted a few people with similar issues: http://en.miui.com/thread-364400-1-1.html

Have you removed your lockscreen? fingerprint, pin, pattern, etc?
Please ensure that you've fulfill the requirements, because that point above is usually forgotten when doing this.
Kindly check it again.
Thanks.

Are you really using Kate device? Delivery outside Taiwan began 26th of August at geekbuying, AFAIK. When you bought it directly in Taiwan:
Was it originally equipped with Android 5? Which ROM did you use when you unlocked it? Where can we download it?
We other people received our RN3Pro Special Edition already with Android 6 installed, and after flashing all ROM fitting onto Redmi Note 3 Special Edition (not Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm China, not Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Global) I *know* there is no working solution except unofficial bootloader unlock. For now, because I'm hoping Xiaomi is working on this issue.

Doesn't help.
Stayed on the same MIUI Version for over a week.
Messaged MI Support now, as my bug report with almost 30 likes doesn't even get recognized.
Hi guys... Today I bought this beast(I knew it is a beast.. . ). I read all thread about unlocking bootloader. But I didn't find any post about sure unlocking. Can anybody forward me the most successful bootloader unlocking procedure thread.
Isn't there any unofficial unlocking process like redmi note 3?
BTW mine is snapdragon, 4gb version.
And another question.. .. Why the hell 4gb version in not included in mobile description in this forum?

Hi, welcome.
Yeah, unlocking is the one heck step every Redmi user wanna get rid of.
There's no unofficial way to unlock bootloader on redmi note, xiaomi locked EDL mode down.
Yeah, that's a good choice.
Cuz, redmi note 4 MTK released first before the snapdragon variant, and these forums created earlier than the release of Snapdragon variant, that's why. Btw, does it matter?
Here you will find all the informations:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/how-to/bootloader-unlock-variants-to-read-t3565459
After unlocking two Redmi Note 4 and one Redmi 4X on the last month, I can basically suggest to:
1 - register an account on MIUI Forum from PC (IMPORTANT: don't use spaces or numbers or symbols in the username);
2 - fill in as much informations (even fake but convincing) as you can into that account, (there is also another page with other informations that you can reach when changing the password from the MIUI Forum web page from PC);
3 - while filling the informations, there should be some forms that asks for Name and Nickname: write in all that fields the same username you used for registration in step 1;
4 - do some activity in the forum: post a couple of answers to some threads, take part in some surveys, etc.
Then on the phone:
5 - enable Developer options (Settings > About device > tap multiple times on MIUI version);
6 - go to Developer options (Settings > Additional settings > Developer options);
7 - enable OEM unlock and USB debugging;
8 - insert the MIUI account you created before from PC (Settings > MI Account) and enable all optional features it asks for;
9 - return to Developer options > Mi Unlock status > Add account and device;
From PC:
10 - go to http://en.miui.com/unlock/ and follow the indications there to asks for unlock permissions (it could pass many days before having the unlock permissions, but doing as I described above, I received unlock permissions in 2 minutes for one account and in 12 hours for another);
11 - after receiving unlock permissions, download and install Mi Unlock from here;
After the first use of Mi Unlock, it will say to wait another 72 hours before retrying for definitive unlocking (in the account that received the unlock permissions after 12 hours, it said to me to wait only 10 hours, but I don't know why).
After you receive the unlock permissions, you don't have to requests it again for that account, but you have to wait 30 days before unlocking another device, plus the 72 hours from the first request via Mi Unlock.

Thanx dude.
Xiaomi different versions LOL + "current account is not bound to this device!' error
I finally found out there are looooooooooads of Redmi types, unbelievable!
Maybe Xiaomi should minimize their offer, I thought I had a Redmi Note 3, but I finally found out it's a
Xiaomi Redmi 3 IDO (3A) Snapdragon LOL
I ordered one for my daughter, and now I see it's actually a Redmi Note 3 (bit more expensive and different at the back).
==> So i'm busy checking out how to flash, I got the official sms to unlock the locked bootloader and the first part goes to 100%, but theb I have another error : "Current account is not bound to this device!"
I'll guess some more errors will follow seen this long & difficult process
I dowloaded the latest miui_MI6Global_7.8.10_024aaf1afd_7.1 of this week, but now I need to get rid of that error & locked bootloader.
Do I need to flash an old beta rom first or something to get rid if this error message ?
Nice to see a fellow Belgian here
I am a bit confused. You are trying to flash your Redmi 3 (ido)?
Because the ROM you say you've downloaded is one for Xiaomi Mi 6...
Could you provide some information (screenshot of your 'about phone' with the current installed MIUI ROM etc?)
When I unlocked my ido's bootloader last year, I flashed the Chinese developer ROM using MiFlash, coming from a fake vendor ROM via EDL mode. Then in China dev ROM I unlocked the bootloader using MiUnlock.
After that I flashed TWRP (flash lazyscript before booting into the system or change to custom ROM immediatly because dm-verity is a b****).
I believe in recent ROMs, EDL mode was blocked by Xiaomi.
About the error: make sure you log in to the unlock tool with the same account as you are logged in to on your phone (the account with unlock permission). Then go to "developer options - Mi Unlock status" and make sure your account has been bound to the device there.
USB-debugging should be enabled, as well as OEM-unlock.
I do not know when you received the unlock code, but it is possible you'll have to wait a week or so. A lot of people have found that it suddenly works after a few days of waiting.
If you cannot switch to a developer ROM due to locked EDL mode, you should be able to flash your ido with locked bootloader using xiaomitool. http://en.miui.com/thread-835254-1-1.html
With this tool you can switch between MIUI ROMs on a locked bootloader.
I don't see any reason on why you download Mi 6 (sagit) recovery ROM instead of Redmi 3 (or Redmi Note 3 if it's what you're talking about) one. For "Current account is not bound to this device" error, wait for at least a week after you bind your Mi account with your phone before unlocking.
Good luck.

Haha greetz to Belgium too Yes I was a long time since I checked the latest roms / Xiaomi phone versions
Now I have a rooted stable MIU9 V9.2.2.0 Laicnek and looking for the best battery saving Kernell, hope I can flash this simply with TWRP as everything is installed allready
What do I need to choose again in the options to flash a Kernell only ?
Otherwise the Lineos 15 with the latest Oreo (if there is an official version 15 already, as I see only a beta 2)
Hello,
Yesterday I purchased a Redmi Note 5 Indian Unit which is on MIUI 9.5 Global on 7.1.2 Nougat.
I wanted to flash lineage os for the phone as I truly hate MIUI skin. But unlocking a bootloader makes a big problem, when I tried to unlock the bootloader; It tells me to wait for 360 hours, I went through all the threads here, but none helped me, I tried the bypass method with 2 different accounts but that does not work as well, maybe because MI stated that users no longer need permission to unlock. Please help me to unlock my bootloader, I cannot live with a MIUI, and there is no point in using the phone because in 15 days I will have to format the device again after unlocking the bootloader, so please help me. I have Indian Unit of the phone, so if that is what makes the problem, please tell me.
Reply ASAP.
follow the thread NO ERROR 86006 in guides section. u just need a new account and 5 min of spare time.

I tried with two accounts that worked for me 2 weeks before. First account you bind and apply for bootloader unlocking. After that, make sure your device is identified in mi cloud web. Find my device option. And after you got 360 hours wait. Create a new account and login into it in phone. Go back to bootloader and now it will unlock. I hope this method will work now.
