[Q] My HD2 main storage space getting low

I having this problem now. My HD2 main storage space getting low. Currently space only 40mb+- from 100mb(2 month ago).
I install few application in starage card only. (tough light, zuma, currency exchange rate, cinema show)
Everytime i browse internet, facebook or youtube. It will missing some main storage space.
I tried clear internet cache. Problem still maintain and now my HD2 running slow then before.
Have you run a cleaner application (like in SKTools), or manually cleansed the temporary files?
Since you started with 100Mb I conclude you have quite a lot of apps installed on your device, do any of them use tem files / log files / caching?
Tried looking in \Program Files\ folder?
Tried looking in \Temp\ ?
Tried looking in \Windows\Temp\ ?

I check manually check Temporary file already.. nothing inside. I delete some useless file but still the same. Each time i browse internet, it will deduct some space. So.. after few month. i hav to re-format again.
And app can clear the temporary file ?
:ClearTemp.
Clean Ram workson my HD2
I have installed CleanRAM and let it run occassionally. It reports enormous amounts of memory freed, but also in the HD2 memory page the amount of free memory increases.
You may want to try this, search from CleanRam in xda-developers.
SKTools (not freeware) is a contains a good utility to clean out tem files.
BTW: Are you seeing all files? Some temp files are hidden from normal file explorer, unless you set it to show hidden and system files.
Have you tried empttyng browser cache, cookies and history? (I know this is a "standard" answer, but overlooked sometimes)

Hmm.. show hidden file ardy. Never mind. this month i will reformat 1 more time and downlaod clear temporary file App.
With my HD2 I found I would continually run out of space. The culprit turned out to be the Opera Downloads directory (/windows/opera/profiles/download).
If the main space on the device is filling up and you're mainly mainly using your browser and you've already done stuff like moved your Album photos to the storage card then this could be the culprit.
I mention that because although Opera showed no files in the Downloads directory via Opera settings, when I actually inspected the directory there was about 80mb of files in there (I should also note that ClearTemp which I installed to fix the problem didn't identify this either).
Deleted the files and moved both the Opera cache and the Opera downloads to the storage card via the opera:config settings and I no longer have a problem with the main storage space filling up.
The other thing that did make a difference was specifying in the mail app that attachments should be stored on the storage card as well.

First I'd try to re-flash your ROM, should bring your device to original state.
Also, just in case freezes reappear, which could mean hardware problem, check "overheating" threads here on xda

[Q] failed restore

Hi, pretty new to this , but I looked around for quite a while and cant find a similar case.
I rooted and did a backup of my nexus 7 and sent it in for repairs. I got it back yesterday and rooted and tried to restore my backup, the download took forever but did finally finish. after rebooting I expected to see the restore working, but nothing. was updated at all.
So I proceeded to download everything manually and re-install, however now when I go to my settings > Storage it shows only 6gb available but I only have a few gb of music and apps on it. Most of the bar showing what's using the memory is just grey and it doesn't seem to be used for anything.
I loaded an app called disc usage, and it shows that in
/data/media/backups/015d8822008020f/2013-09-06-12-51 There are supposedly two files systemext14.win(12942mb) and data.ext14.win(7269mb)
Ithis app has the option to delete files and directories, but when I try it says file or directory not found.
I cannot seem to find these files or directories with any browser. I tried fixing file permissions - but that didn't help
How can I get my

[Q] Low Storage problem

Hey there.
my father's phone is galaxy 2 9100T on stock rom and it shows that "low storage error".
now, i had this problem myself about a year ago when i had sgs2 but my phone was rooted and i had rootbrowser on,
so i found that the log files pile up like crazy and i deleted them, and like magic the phone got back to normal.
So i rooted his phone but there is a problem, i cant install anything not even the rootbrowser that is about 2MB, but as i check there are about 80MB free of memory, but as long as the error "low storage" appears i cant install nothing. moreover, i deleted allllll the apps that i possibly could even cleared app data of the entire phone, i just cant get this error message off and install the app.
there is absolutely no apps on this phone..
is there a way to approach this files from my pc and get them deleted??
can i force install the app even when the error shows?
is there anything that you can recommend??
Thanks!

You should try doing a factory reset and wipe your cache partition in recovery mode (after turning off your phone, press and hold volume up, home, power.) If still doesn't work, then try a different rom. You can repartition your app storage and your phone internal storage for optimal storage usage, but then you will need to use the pit files and flash it using odin which will delete your apps and data.
Thanks. .
I will try to do so..
Sent from my SM-G900H using XDA Free mobile app
Hey,
I solve the problem using the ADB Shell commands and the phone root privileges using my pc.
I deleted the content of "/data/log" using "rm -r /data/log" , there was hundreds of .log files each about 2 MB which used 1.8 gigs of the internal memory of the phone.
it was very frustrating process, but hey.. i did it..

Plz help me install windows 10 build 10136 on Lumia Nokia 530

Not enough memory on Lumia 530 to update . Plz help me !!!
Sorry I don't write English, I'm from Vietnamese
Hi, Rolled back to 8.1 didn't use backup from onedrive. Unselected automatically install (app) updates as part of re instillation. Installed Windows Insider. Had a look as Storage Sense and there was about 1.2Gb free on phone storage. Checked for phone update, found update and started to install. It froze at 60% when it gave me the warning about low storage space on my phone. Went to storage space and moved all apps to SD card that I could (facebook, lumia help and tips, Lumia creative studio and some others). I left the phone for a few minutes and it had an error message saying it needed about 900Mb or was it 750Mb? for the install. So I had a look at the storage and it said I had about 600Mb free. In the mean time it started the install process again and now it has stopped at 50% and the phone storage is 0MB
When I select phone in Storage sense apps and games takes up 241Mb, email and messaging takes up 65Mb and system 3.39GB (this values are with the installer still stuck at 50%)
*Update* The installer has stopped again and it now says I need 1.17Gb of space and to go to storage sense to clean up some space. Going to storage sense it says there is 893MB free there is 241MB of apps and games (none of which I can select) 65Mb of email and messaging and system is 2.47GB
*Update* Ran it again in any case got much closer this time got to about 95% before running out of space. Went to storage sense and emails selected my hotmail account and deselected sync. Now free space is 995Mb apps 241Mb email 64Mb and system 2.72Gb. Should have checked before selecting not to sync emails but I didn't.
Ran installer again after this and installer gets stuck at 1% of preparing to install before it jumps to 94% when it runs out of space on the phone.
Looks like a reboot and maybe a "reset your phone". Though that will be tomorrow time to go to bed

Storage showing as full, reboot frees up 30GB!

I keep having this strange problem where the storage will show as almost completely full and analysing with ES File Explorer doesn't show anything like massive temp files that would explain this, so I reboot and that resets it back down from around 51-52GB to 19-20GB. So basically 30GB of (ghost) files are appearing to consume the storage and rebooting deletes them or just resets whatever bug is causing them to appear to be there when they're not.
Anyone else encountered this? I've just received notice of an update v9.2.1.0.NCFMIEK so is this a known bug that this update will fix?
