Please help me anyone. I'm in need of serious help. I've tried literally everything. I posted Url to pictures of what's going on with details. The pictures explain my problem. I'd greatly appreciate any help is can get. Thank you!

The problem I see is that you are trying to install S6 Lollipop to your S7 that came with Marshmallow. Really helps to use the correct firmware for your phone.

I've tried both firmwares
Do you think I'd need a pit file?
I used to flash rims left and right with ease back in the day with the Droid Charge and never had the nightmares that I have with this phone. I don't get it.
Both firmwares? There are probably at least half a dozen for your phone. You have to make sure it is the same version or newer. If you don't know, and still have the stock recovery, then you can boot to recovery and it will tell you the build number of the software that is installed.
Any phone will be a nightmare if you start loading the wrong stuff on the phone.

I've tried at least 4 different firmwares. I tried different odins. Odin 3.1 was working but gave me the SHA32 error ad was told to get odin 3.12 to fix it and it did yet it is stuck on initialization. I don't get it. There's gotta be something I can do. I swear I've probably spent 14 hrs trying to flash every possible solution and it doesn't flash. Always failing and stuck on initialization

Ok guys, been using these forums to root phones for a while now. First phone i did was my att s3. hit a few bumps but overall it was a piece of cake. have done several different s3s and a tmobile note 3 with ease. Tried to root my sisters note 3 sprint (SM-N900P) today, and of course, i am having some issues.
I started out by trying to use the cf auto root for the phone in question, and then i get could not do normal boot. so i restart and it just boots into the same screen. I have tried reflashing stock firmware, but it fails everytime fused 2 binary 1. So then i flashed the pit file, which succeeded in letting me turn the phone back on lol, but i still cant use stock recovery anymore. also, if i try to reflash custom firmware now, i get firmware update encountered an issues screen, so i have to take the battery out for a few seconds and put it back in to get the phone to be able to restart.
SO.... I guess my questions are, what exactly went wrong? how do i fix stock recovery if nothing else? and is there a way to unlock this phone without rooting if i cant root after all? because my sister doesnt really care about custom roms, she just needs to be able to use a different carrier.
COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS BELOW PLEASE
any help is greatly appreciated.

And you haven't said anything to us but you don't know how to read .... You haven't said what you flashed and with what Odin etc ... you have given nothing to help fix your problem and there is no unlock besides sprint doing it or you would have READ that too

Well, I fixed it anyway so it doesn't matter. Now trying to install custom recovery, but had issues with that. Guess cwm is not working for this phone correctly. So only way to unlock is pay sprint? And thanks soooo much for your helpful attitude

It amazes me that some people cannot just read a post and move on if they have nothing helpful to say but instead take the time out of their busy lives to slam someone.
You should feel honored.
So i have a stock sprint note 3 that had 4.4.4 on it.
I attempted to install twrp/cwm through odin, but it failed and now i'm stuck in the failed firmware update loop.
I have tried installing older versions of the stock firmware, seems like i'm stuck looking for a 4.4.4 which seems kinda hard to find right now.
What are my other options, my friend is looking for the serial numbers to see if i can just use keis to recover.

Although your thread will probably be moved to the Q&A section, you stated you are able to install older versions...... take it back into DL mode and Odin 4.4.4. There are several threads you can download the NK4 Firmware from including the Sammobile site.

Honestly it sounds like you're making this more difficult than it really is.
All you need is;
NK4 .tar
SU
&
TWRP
So i'm fairly new to this the last phone i did was my vz s4 (and it went off with less bumps).
I'm stuck in the boot load loop. I can't flash any ROM on it right now, i think i'm trying to find the right 4.4.4 rom. Any place with good rom support would help. sammobile is far too slow on downloads...also there are a few 4.4.4 roms by now.
So the phone was purchased in early Nov 2014, already on a 4.4.4.
I dl'd odin and a TWRP, foolishly didn't make sure 4.4.4 could be flashed in the same way. Odin marked it as failed and when i re-start the phone it runs into the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again"
The phone can get into download mode just fine (cannot boot)...tho i have no idea what to flash onto it now.

As Nickitt stated, don't make it more than it is. If you can get into DL mode then you are not fully bricked which is good. You need to flash an " Official 4.4.4 Firmware " to get you out of this situation, whether it be a slow download or not. I provided a link in my original first response of several uploads of 4.4.4 that you could possibly use that were uploaded by member shadowcliffs in his same thread/post. After you have flashed the official firmware and gone through the initial setup once again with the stock firmware, get the phone back into DL Mode and flash TWRP or Philz CWM recovery via ODIN. Once you have your custom recovery loaded, flash the Custom Rom of your choice.
Hey dark,
thanks for the quick and very very useful response. i wish i hit this up way sooner i did find those links after hours of searching through garbage. i've been downloading a few 4.4.4 images for the last 2hours. Hopefully this will help me! sadly those are the same slow connections i've scene. damn 50kb/sec so sad haha
I'll keep the board posted. but mostly bump that og thread
Damn, fails on the nk4 image and the nh7.
fails on the same spot system.img.ext4
any other suggestions board? please?
make sure your using the hltespr version of either TWRP or philz recovery, if its not working on TWRP switch to philiz. Could also be a bad download - re-download and flash again
Why don't you just use TWRP Manager to install TWRP after you root?

Thanks for updating that you fixed the problem and what it was. It sounded like you were doing everything correctly. i was getting concerned that it wasn't working. I don't use mac, but if i did i would have been very grateful for that knowledge. thanks for the update. too often someone fixes the problem and just quits posting on the thread.:good:

Parallels is a better option imo as far as v-machines are concerned but anything after Mountain lion doesn't work well. The newest mac osx doesn't work at all with Heimdall. It won't download the pit file. If your running mavricks you can try using a program called winebottle
How to Run Odin On Mac: http://youtu.be/j7fpouzMSsk also jOdin is another desktop tool to use. jOdin is a early stage online flashing tool with limited capabilities at this time.Beings its a online flashing tool. I would make sure to have a good internet connection or you could run into trouble im guessing. All in all I think its a good idea I just hope this project keeps going.

Me too bro, me too!
Hey guys... I am having serious issues with my note edge and have been trying for a couple weeks to fix this myself without any luck.
Here is what happened... My Verizon Note Edge (SM-N915V) started to get a little slow and bogged down. I wanted to do a hard reset to get a fresh start. I originally bought this phone used... When I did the hard reset i was surprised to discover that this phone had been previously rooted. The phone will not start but I can enter download mode. I have searched the web and tried several different options but they all have failed during odin. What I am hoping is that there is someone here who knows more about this and then can direct me to the correct method and if it doesn't work I will post pictures or whatever... Would really like to get my phone back working again.

Any idea if its a Developer Edition? The Verizon Note Edge currently only has a temp root solution that is reverted upon reboot so unless it's a Developer Edition you may have a different problem. I believe the file you flash via ODIN is different for the Developer Edition. I don't have one so I'm not 100% sure on this but that may be a good place to look.
Otherwise, let us know what's happening when you try to flash via ODIN, errors, timeouts, whatever and maybe someone else can offer more assistance.

Hey, just letting you know your post came through blank...
Try to install TWRP and download custom ROM ,if did not work you may need to read this forum Root Verizon Note Edge DEVELOPER EDITION.
good luck
I was simply messing around with my old Verizon GN2, because I need a phone to use in the absence of my htc one M9. I went to flash the "stock" version of the bootloader (the bootloaderbaseline2.tar) before I went in to do any real damage and the phone rejected it. The phone screen read the error message "wrong magic string" and the odin display reported that it dropped out after sboot.bin. Just curious whether you guys and your wisdom would have any insight in the matter? I would really prefer not to have to go out and buy another phone.
Also, woohoo for a first post on the forums.
Cordially,

Are you flashing the full firmware or just bootloader? What options did you have checked and where (in what slot, PDA?) did you put the file to run it? What version are you on, 4.4.2; 4.3? Have you unlocked it before?

I had this phone rooted before, but it wasn't playing well with what my sister wanted it for. So, I flashed a stock image and it rebooted into its stock form. That was two ish years ago. The bootloader was never unlocked. When I brought it back out to begin tinkering, a lot of guides said to flash the stock bootloader (the bootloaderbaseline2 file) and to repartition it before going ahead with something like CASUAL. Considering my sister used it as a daily driver for quite a while, it was probably on 4.3 or whatever the last update Verizon handed out was. I do remember checking to see whether or not it had any available updates and it said it was completely up to date. When I set it up to repartition and flash the BB2 file, it was in the bootloader slot. The Odin flash then failed at the sboot.bin output and the phone proceeded to slide into the good old "connect to Kies" screen. I tried several attempts to get the BB2 file to stick (putting it in all the slots and trying it without partition and auto reboot), but all were to no avail. I have since flashed multiple firmwares in the PDA slot with only the root66_vzw_stock_system.tar.md5 version completing. However, it now displays the "Device firmware is not from verizon. Please bring it into a Verizon store for help." I know the verizon reps will be useless, so I asked you beautiful people.
The only odin boxes that I played with were the top three.
Also, thanks for responding. I appreciate it.

So it it on 4.4.2 then since all updates are up to date? If that is the case, you can only root using towel root. You can downgrade to 4.3 or 4.2.1 but you would need to send it in ($75) i believe or try the method here that is posted. If it is still on 4.3 i believe you can flash the 4.2.1 firmware and then run root running casual (disable firewall and antim virus else wont complete). Then find Beanstown thread and download the zip for the updated wifi/bootloader for 4.3 with ND7 radio (zip somewhere as well) to upgrade completely to newest radio/images (so it would be a 4.2.1 or 4.3 stock with complete root and unlocked). Then install TWRP and roms

So, for the moment, is there any way to get it back to stock? I was trying to go the custom recovery route in the beginning, but I now just need a phone that works. I'm pretty sure it's the bootloader firmware that is preventing the device from booting completely. Thanks for all your help.

So the stock Verizon firmware will repair the broken bootloader? I'll give it a go. Thanks for the info.
Just a quick update. I flashed the stock firmware for 4.4.2 and everything went over swimmingly. The phone now boots all the way into the Verizon boot splash screen. It then sits there and will not progress. I've tried wiping cache and factory resetting, but it still hangs on the Verizon splash screen. Any pointers?
Thanks again,
Nixon
Another side update. It's still held up on the Verizon boot splash screen, but the led is now pulsing. *Shrugs in confusion

Yeah, I've tried the factory reset and wipe cache, it still gets caught in the Verizon boot loop. I'm not particularly sure what that else to do. The 4.4.2 stock md5 is the only one that will stick in Odin.

Ya put that in the PIT tab and firmware in PDA. When it finished, does it say complete or done (box turns green, near top left?)
Also, maybe try another firmware/version?

Whoever can respond with an answer will be a godsend. S**t hit the fan so hard so quick. to give a rundown of whats happening. just recently returned from traveling abroad. during that time something happened. cant hardly remember. whatever happened. i can recall i knew i needed a rooted phone to fix it. (im pretty tech literate) so ive tried ping pong root. im running 6.0.1 marshmellow on my s6 edge G925A. ive learned a root is not possible on this version. but for 5.1.1 it is. however id prefer to stick to 6.0.1 so i kept digging. now that was over a course of 3 weeks with no access to a computer across seas. so i decided to take the time to learn to use odin to flash a rom since from what i read ive found a rooted 6.0.1 att rom. (I could care less about knox. past warranty etc.) its more important for me to have a functioning phone that i can have control over. but the issue was ads popping up system wide. random acts of terror on my phone. phone would randomly install apks/files. or force close every app suddenly. uninstall apps. NOTE: i havent side loaded any apks other then ping pong root from the xda thread. nor any other file that would seem to have possibly been tainted that i downloaded. whatever happened. thats the past. right now its gotten worse. ive decided to try to sit down and figure out odin to fix it. now yes i could do a factory reset and get on with my life. but i really want a rooted phone. and since ive got a backup and im already in the middle of it.. why not just root it. but that tar file is for 5.1.1. not 6.0.1. so im curious if thats the case im gonna just install a custom rom which would be way more open and user controlled then freaking AT&T's so called open interface of android. so im here to ask. is it possible to go from 6.0.1 stock marshmallow android and flash the Extreme Syndicate v3.1 Custom ROM for my phone for version 5.1.1 Lollipop android? if so can you provide a somewhat step by step if needed. ive read you would have to flash stock rooted 5.1.1 then flash the custom ROM. if thats true please point it out. I need this phone to be alive and well for my business while allowing me to make it mine. not a brick so im open to any advice to get this task done. xdadevelopers are a life saver to say the least. but right now im needing a big life save now. so anything helpful is needed ASAP! Right here are a few things from my knowlegde before you try anything.
Ping pong root only works with some firmwares, to root your G925A it must have the exact firmware G925AUCU1AOCE which is 5.1.1. You can try it and do download data first, then turn on airplane mode then try to root. Chances are it will fail.
Extreme syndicate v3 is for lollipop firmware only, your current firmware is 6.0.1 so you will find it impossible to flash as the bootloader will have been locked on upgrade to marshmallow. (Im yet to find anybody successful in downgrading) and also the dev has stopped for this ROM.
AT&T lock down there firmwares so its very hard to find any firmwares other than the ones available over smart switch.
Overall i dont think there is any root available for G925A 6.0.1 nor will there ever be.
As your on 6.0.1 you wont be able to find or flash any custom ROM as they are all on 5.1.1 as root was available for this version and not for 6.0.1
Only thing you can really do is wipe data/cache from recovery and your ad problem will be fixed.

yea... i figured. didnt know if anyone had any ideas that they knew personally. the ads were on a so called system bloatware app. so just disabling and manually corrupting its files stop it from working. hence ads quit popping up. as for root. i agree. when i get a s7. gonna buy it unlocked so i dont have this issue. i dont understand why customizing a phone is such a sin..

I always get my phones unlocked, or on a network that can accept flashed stock from different networks. AT&T and tmobile are a pain in the backside. I agree if you can go for the international s7
