Hi, everyone. I'm new to the forums and am looking for a little insight on my device. I've been interested in rooting android devices for a long time and have successfully done so on a few occasions. I've used poot, kinoroot, androot and some others that escape me right now.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab E lite...
Model: SM-T113
Android Version: 4.4.4
I've accessed the developer options and enabled USB debugging...
It's unrooted right now... I have a pc laptop to do USB debugging if need be...
What i'm wanting to do guys is get the most out of my tablet by rooting and flashing for better ROM, this way I can learn and at the same time optimize my device to its fullest potential while also engaging in this new online community. The only problem I have is the reason I just cant out-right experiment with my tablet and which is why I've come here to you tech-gurus for help...
I CANNOT brick my tablet. It was a gift from my brother and the first one he bought me I accidently bricked by not doing enough research while trying to root it. He returned it and bought me an even nicer one then told me specifically not to try and ROOT it...
haha.. he should've known better.
So if anyone has an advice or keen insight on all the necessary steps to backing it up, rooting it, and maybe even doing whatever it takes to flash more ROM... I would highly appreciate it. I apologize if this new thread angers anyone.
Many thanks and I look forward to learning from you all.

Or should I just forget about doing this? I rooted my son's tablet that is a generic 2.2 tab. so I am not a total idiot, but far from being tech. savy. I'm new to this game and wanting so bad to be able to root my device but also just a carpenter in another world right here and just learning. Thanks for any advice that anyone can give me.

I think you mean Galaxy Tab 10.1 . Anyways, see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1171089.
hey I think that its good for you to be thinking about whether its good for you to root, but I think that you should give it a try. as long as you follow the instructions, you should have no problem sucessfuly rooting your tab. check out the link and see if it helps you.
You can root safely, but just follow directions and take your time.
I have a Lenovo vibe x2, i used to have windows-phones but since my last one got stolen i thought i would try androids out. Lenovo has now updated vibe X2 to the lollipop upgrade and i can't find a video or anything that will help me root my device.
Plus i have some questions about rooting an android :
1st. does it worth to do so ?
2nd. What will i get from rooting my phone
3rd. Is it dangerous cause my phone might bug and what will i need to do if that happens ?
I would really appreciate someone answering those questions and helping me with the root.
(a trustful guide and trustful files will do just great, i am computer experienced enough to make it through it's just some fears i need to "extinguish" )

I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUGYK0tarBE
Although the title says Android 5.0 Lollipop but we can clearly see throughout the video that the guy is running android 4.4.2. Anyway, I've never heard of/tried kingroot so I can't be sure if its legit or not but you can give it a try.
And as for your questions:
1. Root is NOT a necessity. You can use google search to know about it and decide yourself.
2. Again you can find this by a google search.
3. There is always a risk when you mod your phone. Incase you somehow manage to brick it by that simple tutorial, I guess your device would have some stock firmware online which you can download and reflash by some kind of flashtool to restore to stock.
Cheers,
AJ

You still can’t root sm-j327v. TWRP recovery is making a custom recovery for it soon so I’ll tell you when it is available:good::good::good:
Any news on this twrp recovery yet?
Need this done what's the word
Nothing yet. Time will tell
Bumping this thread in search of new activity. I know it's a Verizon phone (so unlocks are unlikely), but I'm hopeful anyway.
A friend bought a new phone (thank goodness) and asked if I wanted their old one (one of these). I said sure, might be fun to fiddle with. That's about my level of investment.
Hi
هاي لوسمحتو اريد تجذير لهذا الجهاز
Hey guys!
I recently found this forum through the YouTube channel xdadevelopers and especially because I have a question.
I tried to find more details about my phone, an Allview X3 soul lite, and I wanted to know if it is worth to root my device. Honestly, I want to root it for a couple of games or more. I know I will lose my warranty (it is over anyway) and the risks of "bricking" it.
I would like some opinions and if someone with a similar device already did it, what is the safest way to root my device (if possible, of course).
I am new to this and any suggestion or information to make me wiser is much appreciated.
Thank you!
Hello guys! New user here. Nice to meet you all.
Now, for the real deal, I need help with something. I'm trying to find a way to root my phone, but I'm kind of lost. I tried already once, but ended up screwing the software, and lost quite a bit of money repairing it. Someone suggested me to come here to ask about that problem, and if it's really possible to root my specific phone.
Keep in mind, however, that due to personal reasons, I want to root specifically with Magisk and Magisk Manager.
Please, any help would be appreciated. I really need my phone rooted, but I'm kind of clueless how to do it correctly.
P.S.: since I can't really post outside links here, if there's any info needed to help me solve my issue, let me know. I'll send you any screenshots available
