ZTE Grand X3 bypassing google verification - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need help bypassing the google verification, many of the methods I have seen are not doable with the keyboard this phone has. Anyone done this successfully?

it is a challenge that is for sure. One of the best frp lockout i have ever seen. If not the best, no java script, stubborn ass key board, hell even has it's own clipboard menu and limited talk-back gesture settings. Real term don't work. It's as if they watched every frp tutorial and took notes.

Working root for Veron Ellipsis 10 (QTAIR7)?

Hello. I just got the Verizon Ellipsis 10 (QTAIR70 tablet. Is there a working root method for it available? Thanks in advance.
I posted this question about 4 weeks ago and there has been no response yet. It's not even listed as a device on this site. It might be because it is from Verizon. They make it almost impossible to access your own device. This will be the last Verizon device that I buy.
Root Help please!

I also have the Verizon ellipsis 10 I have $500. Into mine, with all the accessories! I want to Root it. I had problems with my service, for over two weeks I wasn't getting any service, So I told them to disconnect me, because I wasn't paying for something that I wasn't getting. They continued to charge me for three months after wards. I wasn't even using my tablet at that point. They sent me to collections. I feel that after paying $500. For the products & getting screwed over, that I deserve to have better options & control of my device. Has anyone safely rooted this device???? Please help!
How do you get senior members to see your post?????
I have been watching this for a while. Does not seem like anyone is working on root for it unfortunately. I have had mine for a while and have been waiting for root not sure if it's going to happen. Good luck
Please root of custom recovery for qtair7
Can I install a custom bootloader on this? And root? In developer options it has an option for OEM unlocking.
I'm guessing no one with any knowledge or skills has one of these. A friend gave me his after he factory reset it and got locked out. It'd be nice to have root, and CM on it.

Just noticed your post.
I actually have one that I've been unable to get past the FRP on for the last month or so.
Would you be kind enough to share your knowledge on the bypass?
I'd be very grateful if you would.
Kind regards.

I also would love an frp workaround.. I have a client who has hired my computer security company to remove an frp lock from their grandsons ellipsis 10 tablet... he forgot his password...
Thank You for helping and being a part of XDA..
I know this is an old thread but the FRP workaround on this device is pretty easy. You have to side step the device setup download a few files and install them and then you can add and additional G account, then finish device setup and do a factory reset from the device settings screen.
Visit the following page and in setup you need to download and install Google acount manager 5 and the add a google acount apks. you then setup a new G acount through the browser. They have a youtube video on how to do it if you look for a link on their page.
lavileztechservice.com
I have unlocked a few of the ellipsis 10 tablets with the frp account.
If you need more help respond here and I can search my memory to help your out.
If you could help with this i would be GREATLY and ETERNALLY grateful! Plea$e contact me at
[email protected] Again thank you and I look foreward to your reply, I paid for this damn tablet and would like to use it for something other than a paperweight!!
Ok so I hear the bypass used here as mentioned used to work but if your tablet now has the latest updates, it won't. When I try to get In via browser it won't, stating that java needs to be enabled. Well tonight I finally slipped In and got into Google somewhat of a browser. And I can search and click links but when I go to try and download apk files, just nothing at all happens.
To get into the Google browser I go thru the setup till I get to verify account. Hit the forgot email, and typed in a phone number. Hit next band then it asks for first name. But now, on the keyboard below notice the small microphone. Tap that. Then, tap the settings icon on the left. After that, go to About on the bottom left. Then legal, on the right side. Then, tap privacy policy. On the very top look for the colorful GOOGLE and tap that. In. From there I can't get the apk files to download. Or if they are downloading, no option to open. Can anyone help from here??
just add 2 google accounts! first thru google account manager then thru settings under accounts and voila back out all the way to activation screen and finish the activation as normal and your done had to try different thing because info on this is very limited and the other tips did not work for me
side note developer mode would not turn on no matter how many times i tapped on build number while in bypass mode developer works once your in as main account
elipsis 10 bypass
so i am able to get to the part where i am supposed to tap it 7 times to get in dev mode but nothing happens, what do I do next?

I sold off the few Elipsis 10 tablets that I had, but you were correct in that they were not updated when I bypassed frp as the last update patched those vulnerabilities.
You have to experiment to get to the chrome browser and be able to install apks, same as almost any other android device with an FRP lock.

If you use your Fingerprint-Sensor, you need also a password for it, right?
And after every 3 Days - my phone says i need to enter my password again.

Thats also on oneplus phones, at 2-3 days as well. Is just simply a security measure for some of us which are bad at remembering passwords/pins. I think this is a very good thing to not forget your passwords or pins

Or you could use a keepass data base ^^
Big mistake buying this phone. Don't buy this phone. Ridiculous we cannot eliminate this pin code when we already use fingerprint protection.
---------- Post added at 06:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:49 PM ----------
First, know this. You can remove the password, however, you will also remove all other protection, like fingerprint id. etc. I find this very suspicious.
Go to settings - Security & privacy - Screen lock & passwords - Password
Enter your password
Go to password > and enter None
You now have zero protection
I seriously think that it should be possible to disable the "forced" 3-day password/pin code while still having the fingerprint reader security and possibility to unlock using the password/pin code.
The 3-day forced password/pin HAS to be optional.
Best Regards
Me

To not have to be surprised when your phone ask it? Why put a password if you do not want to use it? I have the same kind of password, and enter them for every account I have on the web, each different, not a big problem with a physical keyboard cause a 16 letter/digit/symbol password can be done in less than 5sec. But for the phone, a gesture pin with the path set to invisible do the thing, you can do pretty f*cked up gesture rather than just un L or a W like majority of people do. And not be bothered when asked the pass. Finger print is not a secure way to unlock the phone anyway (it whould just be a authentification, not a pass), so putting a strong password as not real meaning here.
All that drama....just use 1234 pin and make your life easier
What if I have a medical emergency and I am not able to type any password? I just want to put my finger and then touch the icon of my medical care.
Is this something that only happens on this particular build??? My mate 10 (non-pro) has never done what you are saying here? I use a fingerprint for access with a PIN to unlock on boot up, but I have never been asked for a PIN/Password every three days. Now my phone has not yet received Pie...so I am not sure if that is the cause. Someone also said in a previous post that this happens on OnePlus also??? I have a brand new OnePlus 6 (not T) running on Pie and this does not happen on this phone either? Something is not right here.
I have the same thing both on Oreo and on Pie, it's maybe region related but not big deal for me.
damn what you are you hiding in that phone with this kinda password??? nuclear launch codes??
give yourself a break.
anyways ...good post.... looking forward for a solution. good day

Frp bypass on insignia nsp10a7100 not working..

Hey guys, one of my coworkers got an insignia flex 10.1 tablet model number nsp10a7100. It had the annoying frp block on it so she couldnt get it setup. I did some searching and came across a couple of methods to bypass or remove it, yet none have worked. I tried the quick shortcut app and logged in with a different account..it starts to set up then a popup comes up that says something about an original owners account and to log in...
There was another method I saw on here where somebody had posted a file to run. https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&sou...aw2-HcZRG_KRlpMp9Qp0k5TV&ust=1547051216987032
I got the file on the tablet and enabled install from unknown sources but it just says cant open file...
On all of the YouTube videos the quick shortcut method worked flawlessly but not for me..not sure what I did wrong.
Any help mb is greatly appreciated. I understand why they have the frp block but its a bit ridiculous...
Thanks!

Hola. No , no I'm sorry these are pretty much dead devices. I'd assume lot has to do with them being only around 80 bucks new and Google has ironed out almost all glitches in the setup process to get past FRP. i also have one but it's looking like a parts device . I found mine fairly recently but found out quickly it was a large paperweight , I'll keep it around a bit longer and see what I can make of it but I do believe I've already run through the gamut of workarounds. Sorry again , - b.p

Cubot Quest: HOW to remove Google search bar?

Hi, it seems search bar is locked in place on this device (Android 9 Pie). There is no obvious option to disable it.
It is the issue for a while already http://forum.cubot.net/viewtopic.php?t=1160
Did anyone find a solution how to remove it from the Home screen?
Thanks

I recommend just installing a third party launcher instead. I too found no easy way to remove it.
it's a fixed position widget starting from Android 8
sadly the only way to remove it is third party launcher ...
I had this problem too. Like said above, the problem is solved immediatly with a third launcher. I've taken Nova Launcher and it works perfectly.
Otherwise, if you don't want to install another launcher, you can try this method : https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
For a complete lists of your package, you can use the app : "App Inspector" on the playstore.
I did this for all google app. For the search bar, it didn't work fully but it was better than without this tip. I read that, for some people, it worked fully.
Hope you will succeed to remove it!

I saw some guides but I didnt try to root this phone because I dont have a need for it, especially since the phone is already stock Android 9 where you can simply use adblocking DNS from within the Network settings.
Im generally satisfied with it, but proximity and finger sensors tend to misbehave sometimes, maybe its too sensitive to dust or dirt, I dont know.
My phone has V11 firmware, no updates available through the update manager, but there should be V13 available.

yeah it's true that you can replace a lot of root's features with third app's with this phone but it will be cool for me to have full access for more fun! Like totaly uninstall some apps useless for me, more customisation etc etc...
But it's really cool like it is now!
With mine : I don't have trouble witj proximity sensors but fingers sensors react weirdly, indeed. I think your hypothesis is the answer : it's too sensitive to dust and dirt.
The light sensor is a little bit weird too, but I think it's due to an android feature : user'shabits learning. Weird at the beginning, but works good after.
In my case, I have the V13 firmware (install directly via Cubot's website). I don't think it will be more update later...
One question : Do you know if this phone works well in USA? I see that it has some US's band so I think so , but I would like a confirmation
I received message from Cubot support that there are no significant or important changes in V13, so I'll leave it at that.
I also noticed phones behavior and sensitivity of sensors has changed over time, maybe it's that habit learning you mentioned..
I'm in Europe, so I can't say if it works in US. Shouldn't be too hard to find out.
I'm generally satisfied with this phone, as I tend to drop it a lot (relatively speaking) and it holds together well, and the software support+performance is satisfactory as well.
@urpi_ > Thanks for the feedback Happy to share with a Quest's owner, there aren't many
Like you, I've dropped it sometimes and the shakeproof it's real! I haven't test yet the waterproof. I will do it this summer
In very good points, I found GPS, Wifi and bluetooth respond very quick and well!
For the GPS, even in a remote location, the Quest fixes very quick
And the blutooth works very well with my earplug, even in running.
For the price, it's a very good smartphone, I'm happy with it too
Since when do you have this phone? I have it for 5 months nearly.

That's one of the reasons I would like to root it. Like you, this functionnality annoys me, although this button is very usefull . It's too bad that we can't configure it like we want and with a root, it would be possible.
For now on, I don't find a tip for changing this long press function. Maybe someone will read this thread and will have an solution

Yeah, I have used Key Mapper ( https://github.com/sds100/KeyMapper ) to change normal press (no root required) but I haven't found a way how change long-press behavior. Perhaps it's possible with Key Mapper too, and I just didnt find it?? Maybe.
@urpi_ > Thank you for the share, I will try it and search too if we can do something for long press configuration!
But for the normal press, you can already choose any application in settings. So, what does keymapper moreover?
Otherwise, about the fingerprint sensor:
I re-saved my fingerprints but differently :
Without perfectly clean up the sensor, like "out in the pocket" 's mode ( ) and with the "soft" part of the finger.
Before I saved it with the very extremity of the finger. This time, I used this "soft" part (a little bit under the top extremity of the finger) and with the finger kept flat.
It works pretty better now! Maybe it could make it work better for you too
Im pretty satisfied with the fingerprint sensor now, but yeah it can be probably fine-tuned to work better with this phone, like you said.
You can choose any application for normal (side-key) press, but I wanted to map it to something other than applications.
I used KeyMapper to make it a Pause/Play key for media.

So I tried this app and I think I found for the long press mode.
When you are on the window for creating a new macro, clik on "more" and then choose "long press"
After, you click on "record trigger" and push the button you want to configure, then choose the action you want.
I tried for launching an app, it worked well
But I tried for togglethe torch and it crashed the app. ANd then, the app didn't work at all, I had to reinstalled it
Hope it will help you
By the way, can you tell me what does "Data protection" setting do exactly? I see it under Security & location - Advanced menu.
I know it asks for a security entry pattern, but what for? Phone is supposed to be encrypted by default.
Yeah good question! I wonder too and I never enter a pattern for this. I think it is an android protection by default, but there are another protection too. By the way, I think there is too much protection
Other subject : I had a security upate nearly by september, I found the fingerprint and thbe camera respond much better. DO you feel that way too?

No update available for my phone. Still at February security update from 2019.
Strange, maybe you should visit the official website? If you do this, be careful : I've done the update via this way because the direct OTA way didn"t work. If the OTA's way is just an update; via the official website, it's a total reset, so, backup before doing this way

[$$€€ - Reward] How to prevent access to safe mode?

Hello guys,
I did a lot of research and already tried my best to figure it out on my own.
Android 12
Samsung A52s 5G
Rooted with this Tutorial: Tutorial
I use a (anti-addiction)software that monitors all online/offline behavior.
The problem is, that I found a way to circumvent it by simply using the safe mode. With windows the solution was quite easy: deleting the registry entry for the safe mode options now leads to a blue screen.
But with android it is much more complicated for me. I rooted my device to find a solution for this.
One option could be to set the monitoring program/app as a system app (that it also starts in safe mode). But "Link2SD" and also "Systemize" mod for Magisk didn´t work.
Probably it is not that difficult to solve and I am willing to pay a tip to anyone helping me to find a good and working solution. I would prefer a solution that is not "repairable", so it can´t be turned on again.
Thanks in advance!

one not so perfect solution would be to use family link and enrolling device as a childs device, that would prevent safe mode.
There are a lot of mdm tools that offer prevention of entering safe mode thru knox apis but they are usually paid unfortunately.
can you provide more details about fact app didnt work as expected when you turned it into a system app?

I actually looked into this a bit more and found functuon used to disable safe mode
https://developer.android.com/reference/android/os/UserManager#DISALLOW_SAFE_BOOT
writing a simple app that acts as a device admin and implements this shouldn't be too hard but you could always remove app from device admin defeating the purpose

no problem, if that doesn't work for you i think this function could be used together with device owner so you would only be able to defeat it with pc and adb
