I used app called "SystemUI Tuner". Also you need to gain permissions using adb terminal (connect the phone, turn on the usb debbuging, and type/paste permission commands)

install Custom navigation bar from google play
thank you so much for the possible solutions, but none of them permanently removes it. if I swipe upwards, I always reappear[emoji45]

Well I am using my moto z with this feature, and I can tell that you still need sometimes the navigation buttons, so swiping up them is an indeed feature.
