SM-G900H 6.0.1 Chainfire Root - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys...
I'm new on the forum as a registered member so I tried replying to the Chainfire root thread but couldn't because I'm not an 'expert' yet. So basically the title says it all, SM-G900H is always the last Galaxy S5 to get updates so I would like to know if Chainfire's been working on a root for this specific device.
Would appreciate help and thanks in advance!

Wouldn't count on it. Most main devs don't target Samsung devices anymore. As far as I know there is no root for the s5 at all.

You can try rooting with King Root and if it is successful then you can remove King and replace it with SuperSU (There is a script for that made by w0lfdroid http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2015/05/How-to-Remove-Replace-KingUser-KingRoot-with-SuperSU.html)

alright thanks, should I try Xposed though?

Without root ( I would not advise kingo root or any of those types of root) and a custom recovery there is nothing you can do

Simple Root

Hello!
I'm sorry but I'm new to Samsung rooting.
I would like to ask if there is a simple way to root the S3.
All I need is to run applications that need root access.
I do not need any stock ROMs.
All I need is to run SuperSU for applications that need root access.
Thanks
This belongs in another section... don't u think???
There are plenty of options to do as u request just have a better look around.

[ROOT] Root Samsung Galaxy S4 with Motochopper help

After I install with some errors during the install about not being able to create directories ... couldn't save
I have the Supeeruser app installed but when I click on it - it gives message that the superuser binary must be updated, please choose an installation method ...
If I choose Install I get an error -- there was an error installing Superuser
Any ideas on what's happening - my device is not getting root?please need help i have a S4 gt i9500
Motochopper only works on old s4 firmwares. Use CF-Auto-Root instead, instructions and downloads here: http://autoroot.chainfire.eu/
CF-AUTO-ROOT doesn't work on this device does it?

Go to the international s4 thread. Can't help you here. In a nut shell, you need to get root via and exploit or custom recovery. Try TowelRoot.com. If that doesn't work, consult the intention s4 forum on XDA.

Use kingroot or framaroot
To be honest, I couldn't root my device with those two at all.
Ok then try any other PC methods for rooting like one click root, kingroot PC program etc
I tried those also and it still says that it wasn't rooted. Please help. It's the straight talk version.
I used kingoroot and I only got temp root. Any ideas?
