I'm having real issues with my phone at the moment, I bought a PC from the college I work at, as they were upgrading and installed a fresh copy of Windows XP 32bit onto it, I am currently running Resurrection Remix 2.4, I wanted to be able to USB tether my phone to the PC whilst I am switching broadband providers, but when I try to connect it, both the phone tells me that the USB isn't connected and the PC doesn't pick it up either.
I tried downloading the USB drivers for the S2 to my USB stick at work and installing them that way, with no joy, I've tried flashing back to 2.3.5 (CheckROM Revo HD V6) other ICS ROMs and turning off USB Debugging but still nothing.
What can I do to sort this all out? I've searched all over Google and XDA, but I have yet to find a solution, any advice anyone can give me would be much appreciated.

hi guys..
my (rooted GS2 running on stock 2.3.5) do nothing but charging when connected to usb cable
1-tried many cables
2-usb debugging on/off
3-*#7428# method
4-turning on,off ,removing SD card
5-tried different usb ports,different pc, laptops
all don't work (
SOS please..i can't connect the phone to pc ,only by wifi maybe but i wanna use my usb for God's sake ?!

Try different USB ports; use a mainboard (powered) port on the PC/laptop itself, and don't use a hub, not even if it's powered. Also try uninstalling Kies, rebooting, re-downloading it, reinstalling it & rebooting again. You need the drivers, might be a problem around those.
go to some friends with Windows 7 with network access, plug in your phone and see if it recognised by Windows and Windows attempt to install drivers.
I found this at work, i was plugging my phone into a monitor usb which is not directly into the desktop, i found i had to plug it into the pc itself. I believe it to be the power/speed of the port
yeah I've had the same problem, my pc doesn't detect the fact that I've plugged my phone in on any port, front or back and my phone doesn't detect that it's been plugged in, but it still charges, I'm currently using Resurrection Remix 2.4 on the latest Siyah

i also got the same issue with my S2..had to replace the usb in the phone....but thankfully it was in warrenty so did not pay a penny
Hi, I installed Remix OS 64-bit on my PC but my wifi is not working. I am using a TP-Link TL-WN727n USB wifi adapter. Any suggestions?
I have installed remix os on my laptop and it is working great. It detects when i plug in a USB but doesnt detect my phone. Any help? I have a Galaxy samsung s4 gt-i9500 running cyanogen mod
Android to Android USB probably isn't possible. Find an app or something that can enable USB OTG on remix

Hi all,
Recently i found that my One plus X does not support otg.
Here are the few things i tried.
*I tried connecting the same otg pendrive in other 2-3 mobiles and it was working fine.
*I tried connecting a different pendrive with the help of a otg cable to my oneplus x, but it did nt even detect it.
*Also one more thing, when i connect my Oneplus X to PC using the OnePlus X data cable, it was showing error like "USB device not recognized"
*Also tried connecting to other PC and Laptop but it gave the same error.
Currently I am using Resurrection Remix Rom latest version, but otg was working fine on it one week before also the connection to PC using data cable was fine. Now if I connect my device to PC using data cable it wont even show option on the notification to switch to MTP mode or camera mode or charging mode. It just charges my device.
The otg does not even work in TWRP mode. Previously it used to work fine. I even switched to official marshmallow rom provided by Oneplus and enabled the otg option from settings, but it did not work. Hence I switched back to resurrection remix rom.
Is anybody facing the same issue??
I guess my device has hardware issue regarding otg support now. Because it charges the phone but does not support otg
Does anyone has new suggestions that i can try? Or any help would be great.
