Extract the atatched zip in your sdcard. the path must be like this /storage/sdcard0/ViPER4Android/Kernel/*.irs
Gave some problems at first (had to reboot + wipe cache dalvik again) but,working flawlessly now!

It means the Viper4Android files are screwing with your audio profile for incoming calls. I had this problem while i tried to flash V4A without setting SELinux to permissive. Re-do all the steps and make sure SELinux is permissive.
One more solution is to install 2.3.4.0 (from V4A site) in system/priv-app/ (use appropriate directory naming), reboot, let app get root access, install libraries in-app, set SELinux permissive, then reboot. Worked fr me.

All that's not even needed you can install viper normally after you change selinux mode to permissive, simple as that

There is a new version at the official thread but I cannot install it.
It has to be modified specifically for our device I guess.
Thank you porting this, I've been trying it for a few days now, and besides some quirks, it works wonderfully.

Awsum in just one word....having unbelievable change in sound quality in headphones nd speaker also....used dolbiatmos..its suckz....but viper rocks....thanx dude for this.....
Want to tell one thing that pure bass is working fine but subwoofer nd ozone+ is little fuzzy....
So, I purchased this tablet: Teclast x80h as advertised from manifacturer with dualboot Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4.4.
So far I can say Windows is working fine, haven't found a problem with it.
But When I booted the Android I face a common problem in the Google Play: No connection and the button retry.
I searched google and youtube and tried most of the things people wrote there.
1. checking the auto time/date update
2. the timezone
3. deleting all cache from the app
4. I rooted the device using: Kingroot and iRoot and tried to edit the hosts file. But in it there only was this line: 127.0.0.1 localhost - so I had nothing to change there. Tried to edit it anyway with total comander with granted root priv. - I receive "re-mount error".
5. I also tried to fix the issue with a fix from Frontier given here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...8-air-3g-tablet-9-7-2048x1536-t2913035/page43 , but sadly it didn't solve the issue for me.
Any other insight you can give me is welcome.
Thanks in advance to whoever comes to help.

I have the same problem and have tried all morning to fix it. I have managed to root and have tried following Frontiers instructions but just get the same problem at the end of it.
I also found it impossible to delete Play Store using settings as it is a system app, but managed it using an app called "system app remover". Then replaced it with the apk from Frontier but still no luck!

Have just found this, Maybe we have to wait for an update. But as they come in Chinese am not sure I will recognise it!!
http://bbs.teclast.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=262279&highlight=x80h+play+store
Applied fix:
with root browser:
Edit /system/build.prop to:
ro.product.device=picassowifi
ro.product.local.language=en
ro.product.locale.region=US
Now Google Play is crashing just before displaying the content ofthe store. Even got it working for few minutes after reinstalling Google Play app and Google Play Services, but after tying to download some app from it it started crashing again. I'm open for suggestions :>
I have those settings in as well, but Play store not working at all. I will try deleting them both and reinstalling

okay, guys, that's how I fixed it:
Fix for Google Playstore on Teclast x80h dualboot
requirements:
For Rooting the tablet:
iRoot
Kingroot
First you run Kingroot - all is in chinese, but it's pretty straight forward deal.
Then you run iRoot and finish the job.
Then you need the following apks:
superSU
root manager
uninstaller (root)
link2SD
google play latest
google play services latest
All this is available on APKmirror.
Copy them somewhere on the tablet (I used the Download folder)
step 1. Install superSU - to be able to grant root privileges to the other apps.
step 2. install root manager
step 3. open it and edit /system/build.prop to:
ro.product.device=picassowifi
ro.product.local.language=en
ro.product.locale.region=US
Then save the changes.
step 4. uninstall the Google Play app that came preinstalled with the tablet. (You can do it with any root uninstaller.)
step 5. install the Google Play apk
step 6. install the Google Play services apk and reboot
step 7. install Link2SD apk and run it. Find the google play app in the list press it and when it opens choose "action" and then make it a system app.
step 8. Reboot the tablet.
Enter the credentials in for your google account and then download any app you want :>
Hope that will help someone. Took me lots of time to figure it out.
Took info from several sources here on XDA and from youtube.
All credit goes to them.
I had done all of the above yesterday and still it didnt work. But today I got a Google Play Services update via Mobo Market and Play Store worked after that!
Got the same tablet and of course play store didn't work. Expected this would require extensive hacks, but apparently there is an update as soon as you connect to internet. Just click update app on the bottom left and then you'll see two buttons (all on Chinese), click the left one and it will download the update for you.

yea, when I received it, that update was downloading a broken zip file and it was giving error. That's why I had to do all that to fix it. Now I'm happy with the tablet.

is there anyone know how to root Huawei Union Y538 Root? i looked through xda but cant find anything thanks in advance.
I had partial success using King Root download for android. It rooted and successfully installed the king root su binaries, however Titanium Backup complained that this version of the SU binaries may cause trouble on Android versions higher than 4.2 (or something to that effect. My Union runs Android 5). Titanium backup was never successfully able to clear system apps or move apps from the user space to the ROM space. I attempted to use SuperSu-Me to replace King Root, but upon the script's completion and prompting to restart, the device completely failed to boot past the Huawei logo. Thankfully the device was still new enough that I was able to take it back to the store without question.
Your mileage may very, but be careful and take a backup of what you can.
Kingroot works fine. As for the moving of systems apps I wouldn't because the LOCKED bootloader and kernel check that on boot and will make the device boot loop permanently. (Or until fixed since it is just a soft brick)

I would like to know this as well!
I successfully rooted with KingRoot. However, nothing seems to allow me to enable the native hotspot (build.prop edits, etc). Nor am I able to successfully broadcast or enable hotspot with any 3rd Party WiFi tethering apps, including FoxFi, Barnacle, or even paid WiFi Tether Router!
Any success stories or suggestions out there??
If not, does anyone know if the ZTE Speed or Alcatel OneTouch Elevate are native hotspot enabled or capable of tethering with 3rd party apps? I know the Moto E 2015 is native hotspot enabled and is somewhat easy to work with.
Thanks!
ZTE Speed has native hotspot. But i couldn't get it rooted.

I successfully got native hotspot by doing the following:
Root with KingRoot
Download Shortcut Maker (Lite) from the Play Store
Three dots on upper right -> Search... -> Search for cham -> Launch Chameleon Payload Maintenance (com.huawei.sprint.chameleon.ui.NodeCategoryListActivity) -> Allow root
Settings -> TetheredData -> Edit -> 4
I performed these steps but when I try to launch the Chameleon Payload Maintanance nothing happens.
Am I missing something?

The only other steps I did on my phone:
my futile attempt at installing openchameleonnode apk. That one would always open to a blank screen and quit. (people mentioned it worked on various phone makers)
installing QuickShortcutMaker from the Play Store because Shortcut Master (Lite) told me su not found. That one gave me a not enough permissions warning, so I decided to root.
Did you get a request by Shortcut Master for root? If not, maybe try one of the other Chameleon Payload Maintenance on the list (there were several)?

It seems that Purify was the one causing the issue. I went to general settings and disabled "Keep Root Access" and "Auto purify" and rebooted the phone.
After that I was able to launch the shortcut and make the change.

Guys,
I would like to remove "Google Play Books" and "Google Play Games" but tried a lot of apps (Titanium Backup, Purify, ES File Explorer, NoBloat Free, Uninstall, Root FileManager) and none of them was able to remove them.
I'm no expert but It seems that "/system" is mounted as ready-only so I'm not sure how it would be possible to uninstall them.
Did you guys had any luck removing system apps after rooting with King Root?

I can send it to Purify`s recycle bin as well, but I cannot completely remove.
When I try to do it one of those two things happen:
1) I get a message saying that the remove fail.
2) I get a message saying that the remove was successful but the app returns to the list of installed apps.
Are you able to completely remove?

Until the latest release of Microsofts Intune Company Portal (5.0.3503.0) for android exposed module rootcloak has worked to hide that the phone is root'ed but since a week back or something like that the company portal is detecting that my CM13 phone is rooted, so I'm looked out from syncing mails.

i found several older versions that do install but they obviously have an inbuilt check for that so they dont work and just tell me i have to upgrade. as a result it seems its currently not possible to use microsoft company tools on a rooted phone. An unrooted phone is more or less useless.

The info in the SuperSU app says 2.79 and I installed it systemless on my elephone P9000 stock rom. Also have xposed framework running. I tried a lot of tools but none works.
It does not seem to use safenet check, because I can pass the safenet check by using magisk, but still fails on app's compliance check, saying my phone is rooted.
Damn!
You could always turn off root in developer options and reboot then sync emaills then turn back on root in developer options
Hi,
I'm facing the same issue on my S7 Edge with a Superman Rom on Nougat. I have Magisk 12, Safetynet check Ok but Company Portal still detects root. May be it's because the app is registered as a Device Administrator. I guess with these permissions it can check root differently.
I found an Xposed module for that specific issue but Xposed on Nougat is still unavailable
Do you only have magisk super user installed or do you also have SuperSU installed if you have SuperSU installed remove it
I have just Magisk Super User installed. I never installed SuperSU. The Xposed module that I was talking about is "Security Bypass for Company Portal".
I think we need a Magisk Module doing the same thing if possible.
I recently installed outlook and had the same problem running MagiskSU. Safetynet passes, and Magisk hide was enabled, but no luck. I used Tasker to get around the root check with the with the following tasks:
Launch App (Outlook)
Run Shell command:
su
chmod 0754 /data/magisk
sleep 25
chmod 0755 /data/magisk
This launches the outlook app and changes the permissions of the magisk folder for 25 seconds so that when it does the root check after I input my pin everything checks out. After 25 seconds it restores the permissions to what they were. I exported this as an app (long hold on task, click menu in upper right and export as app) and it seems to work like a charm.
I've tried your solution, but it doesn't work for me. I still have the same message showing up ?

It's still one of the strongest root detection apps I know, was there once an xposed framework app that allowed a rooted device to access Portal?

1. Update to 20181026 OTA or newer version
2. Backup your data in Setting =>Other setting => Backup &Restore
(downgrade will wipe all data in your phone.)
After you finish backup, the backup folder will exist on your mobile root folder.
You need copy backup folder to your computer.

But now I can't install google play from either the oppo store or from apk.

Go into permissions manager and make sure the play installer has all it's permissions?
I haven't had an issue on ColorOS, but I had that sort of issue on MIUI once and that fixed it.

Thanks but I've tried that. OPPO support say that because it has the Chinese rom, it won't install Goolge services
I have got to find out how the stores do it. Or find an original rom with google alreay in.
