Having created a thread like this for my Galaxy S6 it was a great place for information, ecspecially for software/carrier updates.
I'll start off by saying that I'm very excited to owning my first Galaxy Note. Reason for changing to the Note is the awesome design, bigger screen & battery life, which was terrible on the S6. I've pre-ordered it in black, because once you go black your gonna need a wheel chair (White Chick's movie joke) ??
And also ordered the Spigen neo hybrid crystal clear case.

I have also ordered genuine Samsung screen protector and a clear case. Not sure if i will like the case, had one on my Note 5, and didn't like the feel in hand.
Has anyone seen an OUTRIGHT pre-order deal that has the gear fit 2?

No. Only deals I've seen available to AUS have the 256GB Micro SD card. I was personally hoping for a Gear VR deal

I was in two minds about colour. My Note 5 I got in Silver, for something diffferent. I like i, but i dont like how prominest marks are, i have a clear film cover on the back and any scratches/marks show up a lot. This time i have opted for the Black on the Note 7
just pre-ordered mine from Telstra with the SD card, I decided to get the black one. It is a thing of beauty.
Sadly still need to wait 9 more days
Fingers are crossed for early shipping!!
I eagerly awaiting June 19th.
I pre-ordered a black one on Sunday and they that I would get a case and screen protector besides 256GB SD-Card.

I initially ordered one from buymobile then read some reviews on them and went into panic mode and cancelled the order. It was $200 cheaper than Samsung and Hardley Normal but no MicroSD deal so I cancelled it pretty much straight away. I want warranty with this phone and I think with the outright buy price it's worth having warranty although I never needed it with my international Note 4 I got through yatango. Never needed it on any handsets, touch wood.
I then went to the Samsung site and black onyx was sold out so I ordered one from Harvey Norman. 8 or 9 days left but not counting. Much. lol
Have ordered a UAG cover in black for the 7. I've had them on my last two Samsungs and they are brilliant cases, a little bulky but saved me a few times with a few drops, pretty good asset if you ask me.''Really interested in what model of handset we will get, starting to think it's the end of ROMs for me but you never know and that's why I'm still here.
I have to admit that I was extremely disappointed that Samsung Australia opted not to bring the Coral Blue color and for me this was a deal breaker, after waiting so long to replace my Note Edge and eagerly reading every single leak from eveleaks and onleaks and looking at the beautiful blue color that was rendered by eveleaks and was voted as the most popular color in a poll that was done by Ausdroid and they decide not to bring it....for once you could choose a different color than the usual boring silver/black/atrocious gold and they opted not to bring it grrrrrr!!!! damn you Samsung Australia!!!! I was ready to forgive for not having 6gb of RAM and 4000mAh battery as was leaked heavily months before the launch but not to bring the blue color was the deal breaker, you've stuffed it up S.A!!!

Wow, Black sold out on the AUS Samsung site? Glad i got in early there.
Same as you, on my internations Note 5 that i got online, they did have a warranty, but never had to use it. I looked at buying the note 7 from the same international supplier, but it was only $200 cheaper and i though to myself if anything does go wrong, i can go straight back to Samsung without any huge issues.
Do we know if the 930G is the Australian specific model?

Hey guys, I saw this posted over on SlickDeals and didn't see it posted on XDA. Figured I'd post it here in case anyone is interested.
Buy.com has the 16GB Flyer for $199.99 with free shipping. It is a refurbished unit, so hopefully everything works properly. I'm not sure about international shipping charges, I imagine it is only free to the US (could be wrong though).
I jumped on the View 4G sale a month ago for $230~ so this seems like a pretty good deal. Maybe we'll see a surge in the forums with these recent firesales.

I bought one of these yesterday at 6pm, paid for 2 day shipping and it arrived today at 2pm - 20 hours!!!
It looks great, like I just took it out of the original wrapper. I tried it for a few minutes, then upgraded (I guess that's debatable) to honeycomb. It's leedroid version, so I suppose it should be pretty good.
Now this is the first thread I read in the general section... what ever happened to the days when I would read for days on how to root a new system

I've never heard mention of an active digitizer for the asus tablet. There's really not enough solid information out there.

I also picked one up for 189. I really hope to get some use out of this at work. I want to replace a ton of paper I generate travelling around from mtg to mtg. I really don't understand why there aren't more pen based tablets out there. If this doesn't work, for 189, I'll just give it to one of my kids to draw on /watch videos.

There are brand new HTC pens on ebay for $54 shipped. The regular 2 button ones, not Fujitsu.

(Has anyone with the Maple Gold color been disappointed for any reason? I've reserved that color, because I thought it looked really nice on other phone models with rounder curved edge screens, but in the store the Note 8 didn't quite have the same look in Maple Gold because the screen edge is less curved. I'm not sure if I'll switch to black at the last minute. I also don't know how the gold will match cases and such..)

I'm not a gold phone lover, but would have probably got the maple gold one if it were available in my region.
I was watching TechZilla video on YouTube, his is the maple gold and it looks really nice.

The gold is nice. But when I look straight down at the screen, the tiny edge of the gold appears around the edge of the glass, which to me made it feel a little smaller or framed. The black blends in more so it looks like the glass itself. So I changed my mind at the last minute.

My thoughts exactly! The first time I went to a samsung store to check it out maple gold note 8 looked like a stupid slab compared to my midnight black S8+. So, l went for the black note 8 which looks awesome! I think the maple gold S8/S8+ looked awesome too.

Good point about the black blending. My Note 8 is black and it's almost a surreal black. Everything blends .

It was released on Thursday the 26th of October, 2017. I picked mine up on the 27th from a DoCoMo store in the Moto Yawata area.

Go and check it out. It's a beautiful phone. It's my first new phone in a long time. (I'm coming from a Note 2! Android has really come along nicely.) I also got the Samsung S View Cover from Yodabashi Camera in Ichikawa.
I had forgotten how good Yodabashi Camera is for phone accessories. At the time the DoCoMo store didn't have any Note 8 cases, and my nearest Yamada Denki only had a few. Yodabashi Camera has loads of Note 8 cases, but they keep the Samsung branded ones behind the counter.
Edit: Just saw you updated your post. Yes, I couldn't buy the phone outright. I have a regular 24 month contract and expect to pay in the region of possibly Y11,000 a month for everything. That's including 5Gig data, etc. which is enough for me. My Note 2 was pretty much the same per month at the time.

I use line mobile.
I pay 2,790y/m for 5gb calling and text.
I could probably drop down to 2gb and pay even less. Data used with certain apps like Line doesn't count to your data.
You might get slightly better signal using a Japan model but very slight.

The model number (in Japan) is SC-01K. I'm not sure what that's equivalent to.
I checked all pre-orders available... No freaking black anywhere in Canada?!? Lilac and grey only??? Did I miss something here?

It terms of revenue we sort of are. We're more or less Apple country if you look at the numbers. That's why they stopped giving us the Exynos variant after the s7. Why ship different variants to the same continent. We just don't buy enough to matter. Why bother giving us the color that sells the most...
if you want the black colour for s9, you can get it from pdaplaza.ca ...the have it in black but the price is about 100 more, but the internal memory is 128gb, unlike the standard 64g...who knows, maybe samsung will release the black colour after the preorder phase........i know, its so stupid how samsung wont offer standard black colour........
I emailed Samsung about this also. One issue is warranty. If you buy from the USA (they have midnight black), then good luck getting warranty if you are in Canada. I sure hope Samsung makes the black version available to Canada - soon.
Samsung doesn't treat the USA any better... Yes - we get three colors. But where is 128GB or 256GB options for the USA?!?! And no preorder bonus gifts? Come on Sammy! You can do better!

I agree we are a small market by any metric, but wouldn't black make a hell of a lot more sense? It's neutral, common and easy to sell off IMO. That being said, I thought I saw the S9 was going back to Exynos for W8..? Did I goof up? If not then my decision is getting easier.

Thanks I'll look it up but I was hoping to get it on my tab to save some cash this time around. Plus there's the issues that come with getting an international version...

Like I said above, thought I read W8 was going back to Exynos, so US models would have SD. But you're bang on about the warranty; I've had a Duos S6 and it went kaput, never got any kind of support from Sam, which is totally messed up, against most Consumer Protection Acts in the Country and is just horrible business. Look at how easy it is to get Apple to cover their devices...

Edit: I guess it is a Snapdragon in Canada according to Rogers anyway. But every other source I've seen lists it as Exynos... weird.

You get $150 off if you trade in any junk phone, its something. The s9 is $810 after trade in, when was the last time a galaxy phone was this cheap?
Yeap I've been pissed off about this since the announcement.. I messaged Samsung Canada on Facebook just *****ing about it and the reply I got about 10 days later (so just a couple days ago) was: "Don't worry. You'll get your black"... So I don't know wtf that means I messaged back saying I hope that doesn't mean in 6 months when they need a sales boost bcuz I'll just wait for the S10 if that's the case and I got no response after that, which I bet that's what they meant bcuz that's the kinda **** Samsung pulls... I've also been tweeting Samsung Canada and Samsung Mobile about this repeatedly. Such BS. Whoever's idea this was should be fired or punched in face, one or the other.

I personally preordered in the martian green with the silver spine. I placed the order shortly after pre-sale went live, while watching GoT. I can't wait to get my hands on new tech, i have been very impressed with my s10+ and hope to have a better experience with the fold.

By May 1st, but imagine it will come in by the 26th. Looks like they sold 4500 each of att and tmobile.
I got Martian Green with the gold spine. I figure a futuristic phone would look cool in a funky color. I specifically wanted the gold spine and it's only available with blue and green. The carriers are only selling black and silver with a grey and silver spine so I figure those will be the most common combinations. CNET just posted 70 hands-on pics and a lot of them are green. I don't regret my choice..

Gotta pay to play....and the crease is likely a result of first gen tech, I'm sure it will improve. That said, most reviewers are saying it fades out of sight as you continue to use it...much like a notch.

Seems like there was more demand than everyone expected. I just so happen to check my email on a whim and saw the Pre-orders now open link. It was an hour after they sent them out too. Once I saw that some colors were already gone I figured they were selling fast. Didn't expects those numbers though

Right now its only AT&T and Tmobile. It's possible they will release the phone to other carriers later on with the 5g variant. They still haven't said much about that model
I just pre-ordered the T-Mobile version. I'm planning on buying a pre-paid T-Mobile SIM, load it up with $100 worth of minutes/data, and then request an official unlock code from T-Mobile, as per their unlocking policy. Then I'll test out my Verizon SIM. Verizon is shutting down it's CDMA network at the end of the year, so as long as the Fold can handle LTE bands 2/4/5/13/66, it should hopefully be able to work on Verizon. If it ends up not working, I guess I'll be getting a refund from Samsung.

You can get a refund from Samsung if the device is returned to them within 15 days, as long as it's in like-new condition. https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/phones/standard-device-trial-policy/
But if for some reason they won't accept the return, I'll just sell it on eBay.
I also ordered a Martian Green with a Gold Hinge. I know that there will be many shortcomings with the Fold but I just couldn't resist. I do love being an early adopter and with that being said if I am totally dissatisfied with the Fold, I'll return it and just use my Note 9 until the N10 comes out. I think that I'm going to really like this phone and I'm so anxious to get it and hopefully won't want to return it.
On another note, when I ordered on Samsung.com, I took screenshots of each page as I ordered. Only the final confirmation page **did not** state the Martian Green color, only the gold hinge color. Also, my confirmation emails didn't show the Martian green color either (and the Shop Samsung app doesn't).
Did anyone else have this same experience? I chatted with two different Samsung Agents (one today, one yesterday) and they were worthless. Coldn't find any information. The one tonight said to wait until they are in stock to verify. WTH?!?
Damn I'm on T-Mobile and was only able to choose between silver and black. it sucks i wasn't able to choose the Samsung exclusive colors.
ended up getting the silver would have preferred the blue though with gold hinge
AT&T here, I was apprehensive about the phone but after watching the hands-on videos, it made me really want one. By then it was too late and Samsung.com was already out of pre-orders. Like you, I settled for the silver but really wanted the blue with gold hinge. My estimated delivery is the 24th, so we'll see how true that is. Super excited though, even with it's shortcomings I'm just ready for something super different. I remember when the Galaxy Note originally came out and people were going crazy at the size of it. I can only imagine the reactions when I pull the Fold out hahaha.

that's weird because during ordering if i choose the At&t version I was only able to select the blue/green colors but only silver/black with T-mobile.
and you say they were out of pre-orders but you were still able to get one?
Yah I also cannot wait to see the expressions on peoples faces, you will definitely get some looks lol
Oopps, sorry I didn't specify. Samsung.com pre-orders were already gone, I had to go on AT&T's site to pre-order instead. It looks like the pre-orders are still up for them with Silver and Black being the only colors.

Yeah i believe evryones is like this who ordered from Samsung . On mine it just shows hinge color as well. Ive even seen screenshots of others preorder and its the same. So no need to freak :good:
Anyone cancelling there pre order work all these fold units problems? I'm wondering whether to cancel it or if becomes big if Samsung going to hault the fold

Probably not sure when it will be available here in Australia but I am really excited if I end up picking this up I may start work on getting a device tree and twrp built and work on developing custom roms.
i preordered the plus version yesterday in germany with 256 gb but wifi only. will i see if i can support some custom roms for it i think good base is what jesec was doing for s20

I talked with samsung and the biggest e-commerce in norway. I was told that for some countries it takes some time before the 256gb model is available. According to Komplett.no it should be available here in norway soon for preorder
I pre-order yesterday the S7+ 128GB Wifi Black by the Samsung site in the Netherlands.
I was looking forward to ordering the S7+ with 4G/5G with 8GB and 256GB storage but guess what? It's not available in the UK only the 6GB 128GB model which is inferior to my Tab S6 so I'm going to pass on this model which is a shame. What is wrong with Samsung UK?!!!
Same here - I won't be buying one in the UK until Samsung release the 8GB RAM version. I imagine that may never happen, though, as they never released the higher spec Tab S4 in the UK either.
This will bring me back to sammy after Huawei screwed its US based customers on the M5 series. My prior device was the Note Pro, and i loved it, but no new support and ROMs were iffy.
I've been holding on to my Pro 12.2 for years now and just sold it on Ebay. I'll use the proceeds to order my S7+ once it is available in the US. I wonder if Samsung will give a trade in allowance for the S4, which is a great tablet.

Just put in my pre-order for the wifi 128 gb Plus in grey. They also offered a $300 Trade in for my Sprint S4 and a small military discount which will go toward taxes.
Since it's just a sign up for a pre-order, there's no downside to ordering and then not completing the order if you find a better deal elsewhere.
I'm trading in my tab s6 and getting 450 for it, I only spent 500 when I bought it so i'm happy. Reserved tab s7+ 256 mystic silver for 408$. Tbh I'm still a little worried about the size. 10.5 inches was already BIG though I did get used to it. Hope I get used to the s7+ as well.

Isn't it a free book cover? ie not the keyboard cover?
I'm also getting mine tomorrow (Monday) and I also made the mistake of thinking the pre-order gift was the Keyboard Cover as well but nope it's just the Book Cover so I'll probably end up going for the Game Pack as the pre-order gift and then maybe buy the Urban Armor Gear Metropolis Protective Case for the S7+ instead. There really aren't that many decent cases out for the S7+ yet, I'm seeing plenty for the S7 but not many for the S7+ so the Urban Armor Gear case is the most decent one I've seen so far. £70 though which is about the same price as the Book Cover would be.
