Maybe on here who understand the problems about update script [META] flashable.zip and .sh file to flash deodex on MM E2353.
Because i tried to flash but with a variety of updates script and file .sh script always bootloop(stuck on boot logo).
Therefore, I ask for all users M4 on here that can and want to help to FIX in booltoop problem after flash deodex.zip.
maybe someone can help fix bootloop when flash deodex and finding fixed script.
Our friend had tried several scripts but always bootloop and try compare script fix z2 MM but always failed(bootloop/stuck on booting).

is this Deodexed file? and this work fine in MM E2333 veriant?
i think not work because it is single sim and work to single variant
you cant try and put apk like home etc except systemui
Have you tried logcat? I tried deodexing Marshmallow too, but always the problem was, that boot.oat or something like that wasn't found. And also it all the time complained about few of the framework .jar's not having classes.dex files. Sadly I don't have the ROM nor the logcat anymore.
you are right, I've deodexed many sony firmwares also Marshmallow but this E2303 and dual-sim version is impossible! I'm tired! I've replaced symlinks, extracted .sqsh files etc etc.... but nothing it partial fails always! We can't patch superstamina, radio without headset, disable signature verify(I've tryied with luckypatcher module on xposed but at each reboot we should re-open lucky)

Dears....this post because since one week I'm struggling with decompiling and re-compiling the framework-res.apk for my LEWA rom on TCL Idol X+ s960 MTK6592.
Below some background:
1. I'm able to decompile the framework-res.apk without errors
2. Even without any modification I re-compile it with following steps:
a. Using apktool v2.0 and putting resources.asrc into decompiled folder then "apktool b fremwork-res" without any error (just getting warning: unable to find sources)
b. By copying the original META-INF and AndroidManifest into the new apk
3. When I put the new framework (again without any modifications, but just DE and RE compiled) into flashable zip of LEWA rom and flash it via TWRP, I get always the phoe freezing at boot logo.
I really do not have any clue on what I'm mistaking during this process.....anyone with some idea?...

Your best bet would be to run a logcat after you install. To be honest you will most likely have to build your own APK tool as MTK devices dont use the standard android setup so the apktool will not work on it.

First of all really thank you for the quick feedback! Actually I had the suspect that MTK roms are different and this because in order to correctly (or at least without error) decompiling framework-res.apk, I had to load with apktool IF not only the framework-res.apk but also the Lewa-res.apk and the Mediatek-res.apk.
If it is needed to create a different apktool, I'm wondering how all the custom roms I see on network based on MTK devices are managed....I will have better investigation on it....

You also have to install the system ui apk as well. Most of them are dirty hacks by using winzip to open the apk and then change the images out. MTK devices are not really a big thing on this site as they are still not main stream or even widely developed on. Most people avoid MTK devices.

That I didn't know....so I have to also install SystemUI....great suggestion...:good:....I will try it hoping this is the missing part!....Yes...I know...MTK are very painful...I'm just realizing this....

I have TCL S960 and try to port ROM everything seems to be working only the speaker.
I cannot listen music or watch movie and the phone cannot ring.

Guys replace both the updater-script and aroma-config. Look into Enigma download section. (FIX SCRIPT(only for Enigma 7.3). It will fix your problem. :good:

But there is a little bug with the Enigma 7.3. i cannot use the emoijs in swiftkey. that`s not a big problem for me, but it was great when everyone have a solution for me.
i have made a clean install with all wipes . all works great, but the only one is with emoijs in swiftkey.
Edit: I have solved the problem by flashing a keyboard with emojis for my device and then it works also fine in swiftkey

How to show xperia emoji keyboard in 7.3?
Flash a custom kernel (Nemesis or any other) and boot to CWM recovery and flash Enigma v6.x ROM.Then let it boot and settle up. (If you run on locked BL then power on and install CWM Recovery for locked BL)
Flash the update CWM flashable zip
Reboot to system and let it settle
Reboot again to enable tweaks
Enjoy the ROM!!! (If phone is not recognized in pc then go to Settings->storage hit menu button and tick MTP)

Hi,
I installed Enigma v 7.3 with Nemesis kernel and i'm very happy of this ROM and this kernel.
But i've got some issues with MMS; i can send MMS but can't receive them, the APN is good and configured.
I would like to know if v8.0 of Enigma solve this issue ?

Installed RC2 to my old Sony Ericsson Xperia ray. Runs good. Could only fit essential Apps, can't expect much more from a 512MB storage device.

A really nice rom, but i have three issues.
1. i get a white screen... 20 times a day (round about)
2. a very big batterydrain. 15 hours, 1 hour screen-on-time, battery from 100% to 0%
3. i cant install or move apps to my sd-card.
Maybe somebody can help me, if there is any solution.

no recovery built in kernel. wuld need rebuilt. but theres a signed version posted in dev threads of LX & AOSP Lollipop (Xperia ARC-->Xperia ARC Development)

if ypu dont want reinstall rom, make your own flash zip, with the original (our rom) files & flash it. if not u probably need reinstall :s
btw what are u using ?? LX 5.0.2 or AOSP 5.1?? there are diffrent files need for 5.1 ...
anyway i will test the xposed later today on 5.1 AOSP for ARC... normally it should work also i remeber that user posted that it was sucessful..

Hello, I have a little problem after installing RC-3. When video recording, the sound is very silent and when I use loudspeaker the person I'm talking to can't here me if I don't shout. Is there anyhow to boost signal from the second mic or turn off noise cancellation? thx
I bought a IUNI U3 recently and found two recoveries for the device. There is only these two builds.
I bought the device to try something new and I wanted to translate the IUNI OS ROM.
Problem is: The CWM recovery is non touch and has a bug which causes backups not to work. The TWRP is version 2.8.3 and me and a friend of mine managed to get rid of an overheating bug by adding
other default governors for the recovery (setting on demand instead of performance). Still I have some trouble with this recovery, but it is the only thing I got.
If I want to flash a ROM with it I get errors.

from the updater script (deleting the /firmware folder in the zip of course) TWRP flashes the ZIP without a problem like CWM does.
Is there a problem within the TWRP build or is this related to the updater binary?
Or is this command being processed correctly by the stock recovery only?
I am kind of a beginner and I wondered if someone could give me some advice so I do not have to remove the radio update.
Btw: the cooks of the mentioned recoveries are russians and I got no response until now. On 4PDA ru I can not register etc etc.

I am sorry I cannot help you with that. I have IUNI U3 for 6 months now. I am sadly using Chinese CWM :crying: and I think I tried restoring backup once and was ok. I tried TWRP once when I bought it and it failed in installing update package so I returned back to chinese CWM.
I am currently stuck at ROM BetaV2.0 20150105. When I tried to update to Beta 3.0 It got stuck at IUNI logo because of problem with Xposed. The IUNIOS use Xposed in their ROM unofficially like MIUI did and they moved forward to blow the Xposed installation in new ROMs. Some OnePlus one users spotted Xposed working for IUNIOS Beta3 custom rom and I did not know how they did it, or may be it is broken for IUNI U3 only.
Can you tell me which ROM you installed and if Xposed is working? Which GApps you use?
The only source I found for IUNI U3 was the chinses official forums. Can you tell me if you found any other sources?

The updater-script is parsed by the update-binary (which communicates with the recovery only for UI updates), so it's hard to imagine why it would work in one recovery but not in the other.

When I get a new build ready I am gonna try an older updater-binary.
I heard that some builds of TWRP have problems with newer updater-binaries for some devcies.

Sounds like or the updater binary has no implementation of the msm.bootupdater function or maybe you need some binary of /bin folder that has this function.
You can decompress the boot image from recovery.img and compare to the CWM boot image if there is any missing binary that has this function.

On 4PDA ru there are some devs working on stuff for the U3. I have never used Xposed on the U3. Last stable build is b3.0.5 - b3.0.6 is so buggy, I wonder why the IUNI dev team even released that crap.
I managed to flash the b3.0.5 using TWRP changing the updater script removing the device check and the radio update.

Thank You T-ryder. I do not think Xposed will work for all these versions (they all have the same modified app_process) and I need it for many apps. By the way, there is a new version of firmware and it is only available in Chinese forums. its release date is 20150514 and it is recomended from the posts on the IUNI forums. The download link:

I need to upgrade the baseband of course, but I need Xposed as well so I am stuck. The strange thing that I saw OPO IUNI v3 ROM with Xposed installed and probably working!!

atm I am using a MIUI v6 port by ry09iu modified by me (I call it MIUNI).
This is getting more and more OT, sry.
I tried to download the 20150514 ROM maybe like 10 times now. No succes. F*** baidu.
Could you mirror it for me? I want to have a look at the updater binary and the updater script (and maybe try the ROM itself).
btw...
I even got a crowdin repo for the german translation... but translating the whole OS is such a pain in the a**.

I have had the same problem of Baidu, I just successfully downloaded this ROM. Also I downloaded MIUI 6.0 v5.7.2 by Ry09iu if you want it. I will upload it to google drive and share the link.

I just sold the IUNI... was fed up by this device and everything regarding it.

Here What I did, of course with the help of google translate:
1. Create A QQ acount from imqq.com
2. Use your QQ account to login Baidu and choose to transfere the files you want to download to your Baidu Cloud (using the right arrow sign ==>)
Note: In Egypt pan.baidu.com links are not opening even with proxies (give 404 error) with some of ISPs so I had to view these links with a different ISP!
3. Use Baidu Program to download the files (It works from any ISP) the program name is: BaiduYun
BaiduYunGuanjia_5.2.7.exe you can google it. you need to login with the same QQ account and it will show the files on your Baidu cloud and you can choose to download any of them (download sign in chinese is like a capital T with a small slash \ at its leg )

Have you successfully flashed GAPPS on the latest IUNI beta rom? If so, what package did you use?
I'm having problems installing g-apps on iuni os as well. The phone always hang at welcome screen because settings crashes.
I'm currently using MIUI os, but prefer the iuni os.

If you are using IUNI OS v2, you need to remove SetupWizard.apk from /system/priv-app after flashing, or remove it from the GAPPS zip prior to flashing.
I had Gapps working fine on the previous (buggy?) IUNI OS v3, but after upgrading to this one, I can flash the GAPPS package fine but the apps don't appear to be installed. Weird!

I now have the same problem as you, after flashing GAPPS, none of the apps appear.
Am using MIUI os from the link above right now.

The IUNI V3.0 ROM I shared on Google Drive is the latest production version not beta, it is better than Beta 3.06 because WhatsApp is working and it is the latest basband/firmware.
For the problem of the insufficient disk space, I have a solution:
There is a folder in most of official ROMs that you can remove safely (/system/sdcard), it contains the promotion videos and songs for IUNI U3. They are copoied to emulated storage during rom installation so they are not needed anymore because they are already there.
Delete this folder (need Root Access and file manager like Root Explorer) then there will not be space problem again (it is 250MB). Install The latest GAPPS by TKruzze, use mini/micro/pico no problem. I used pa_gapps-modular-pico-4.4.4-20150308-signed.zip and works perfectly. after I rooted my Xperia C4 Dual - 5.1 , forwarded to install xposed
but I found this :
- Sony seems to have shipped some ROMs with corrupted services.odex (the embedded .dex is invalid). Those ROMs will bootloop with a "Fatal signal 6" or "No pending exception expected: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException" error, which I unfortunately cannot fix (see https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/64)

Yes it is safe if you download right sdk for lollipop. You Just have to fix camera later by changing odexed cameracommon app
