Have you installed Kies? Installing it will install the drivers you need for your phone to connect to your PC. I have a Win8 laptop and it works fine with my S5.

Did you put it in USB mode?
Settings > Wireless and Network > USB Utils
More to the point did you read the manual and install Kies .

Connection to PC
Strange is that I have the newest Kies but still I can connect GS2 only with Kies air. With USB cable the PC Win xp says that cant recognise the USB device. And through kies air I cant view folders and copy directly to them. Or is XP too old for samsung

I had problems with the drivers on W7 because I had an older version of KIES installed and when I installed KIES 2 it didn't work so I uninstalled everything related to KIES, reinstalled 2.xxx and now it works fine.

When i connect my sgs2 to my windows 7 computer the phone says "MTP Connected" but nothing happens on my computer.
I reinstalled the stock rom from samfirmware.com.
What can be the problem ?

I had the same problem with CM7 Rom that's why i reinstalled stock rom.
But few days ago everything worked ok.

yes, everything is ok but somehow my ( and other ) computer cannot detect the phone
You need to turn off the usb debugging if you want to connect the phone to the Kies on PC. If it won't connect, check if you have windows media player 11 installed? It looks like Kies uses something from that program - I was able to fix the connection by installing the WMP11 for XP...
I am using windows 7.
New issue, even when removing usb cable, the battery status is "Charging"
hmmm, USB completely not working anymore ( hard to charge, remove battery for some time then boot, USB only charging no MTP )
my problem is that when i coonect my phone to pc via datacable its only charging its not showing usb mass storage and debugging option and what ive tried
1)i correctly installed all the drivers from lg v3.7.2
2)i replaced my phone coonector
3)i replaced my usb cable
4)i freshly installed some cm7 rom and even tried cm9 roms
after this also the problem is not solving so please please help.....
any suggestions welcome...and thanks in advance...

I use this driver on my windows 7 pc (LGAndroidDriver_Ver_1.0_All) downloaded from Microsoft
I can,t remember exactly why but the I had to uninstall the driver supplied with the LG mobile update tool as it interfered what i was doing at the time.
I have to have debugging on and connect the cable to the PC first then the phone
the PC will recognize and the driver will display in device manager. The phone will display USB Connected and USB debuging connected.
I Hope this Helps! I have attached the driver press thanks if It helps and post the outcome, I will try to help as much as possible.

Since you've stated that the problem exists irrespective of the ROM you use, there is a possibility that your microUSB port of your phone might be damaged.
Also try and install the drivers on a different computer and see whether it's working or not. Also, if you can, borrow another LG P500, connect it to your system, and see whether it is working as it should. This will help in identifying where the problem actually is.

If their aint earthing in the socket u plug ur pc then congrats ur pcb of the phone has been damaged

when i connect gs3 to my laptop . usb connection not working . no error displays. not asking for device drivers. nothing shows on notification panel. just charging....... i have change usb cable, and pc also but prob still arising. but when connect my phone in download mode to odin. it connects with laptop............ please help how to solve this problem

Lack of details posted so just a guess you have not installed Samsung USB drivers .
Sounds like a driver problem on your pc.
no its not driver problem........... earlier it works fine...............and i have latest samsung usb drivers installed on my pc...... and i have tried many PC ......... same problem....... phone does not show any notification when it connect to pc just charging.

Hi all,
I want to connect my CS-918 Android TV Box to my Pc.
I have Win 7 64Bit.
I download the Rockusb_v3.5 drivers, in the device i set the USB Debug mode,
When i connect the USB cable, In the Windows Device Maneger it recognize as CS918.
I tryed anather cable and the same....
Then i click 'Update Driver' select the path of the 'Rockusb' but it does not installing it.
Over 2 day that i try to search for driver and nothing...
I have attached pic... Please help me
