I flashed stock rom ,accidentally locked the bootloader and it got into bootloop
I opened the phone's back cover, booted to EDL using test point and flashed stock rom using EDL mode but also somehow, the button lights were stuck ON, even if the phone is completely powered off and battery 0%

Did u accidentally relocked the bootloader or accidentally flashed the stock rom.
Dont u know its risky to flash global rom using twrp?
Use fastboot only with pc if u want to flash global rom.
No need for test point method.
U can use edlv2 zip to put in edl mode from fastboot mode. U can download edl zip from here.

Sorry for the late reply, XDA's notification system is horrible.
I flashed stock rom via fastboot but didn't realize that the option to lock and flash was selected in MiFlash. After i flashed stock rom (btw, there's no such thing as global/developer/chinese rom for Mi A1) i had locked bootloader and a rom that bootloops so i had to open up the phone and use test point method to boot into EDL. My phone is totally fine now and working but with the button lights being always on which drains a ton of battery when idle
and again, just to make sure i'm clear, once you lock your bootloader, you cannot flash in fastboot mode, that needs an unlocked bootloader. That's why i used test point method to boot into edl and flash stock rom

Hello, I updated my redmi note 3 to The 6.9.9 stable version:fingers-crossed:. But as there as many bugs, I tried to rollback to the previous version:silly:. But I'm now stuck on Bootloop:crying::crying:. Help me plz. ADB is not enabled, bootloader is locked & the phone is not rooted.
Use EDL mode. Search it in Google (MIUI Forum).
is EDL also used to get completly stock? i might sell my kenzo to buy a kate ... and i would like to sell with official global stable
EDL is used if your device bootloader is not unlocked.. The fastboot method is for unlocked bootloader only.. Yes, completely stock
Sorry, i should have posted whats my device status:
1. flashed global dev rom via EDL mode
2. updated to MIUI 6.9.9 6.0.1 MM
3. unlocked bootloader officialy with xiaomi tool
4. flashed ALKA TWRP
5. Did a wipe because phone encryption was on, after wipe i was able to backup all partitions
6. flashed Supersu
Now if i want to go completly stock, do i have to flash latest MIUI rom via fastboot instead of EDL?
Then everything is back to stock, even the Bootloader is locked?
It's up to you, it's same.. EDL should be fine

Your Windows is 32Bits? If yes, use latest MiFlash tool. And check if file folder has no spaces like this C:\Users\Name\Desktop\Redmi Note\
If has space, remove all spaces. Put ROM in C:\ROM folder for example...

I have a RedmI Note 3 (kenzo) running Lineage OS 14.1
The RAM usage reports around 150MB of use only and there is no free RAM. So I think there is a problem with my phone and I decide to flash everything to start again.
I found a compatible kernel and flashed that new kernel and I got bootloop.
I read that if I flash the ROM again, the kernel will be replaced by the default one so I went to do that with TWRP.
Went to TWRP to flash my ROM and got error 7.
Read a bit more and I read that somethimes very old TWRP will show that message for new ROM.
Indeed, my TWRP was quite old.
Followed steps to flash my TWRP recovery to newer version in TWRP.
Now my TWRP recovery can't even work.
Try to flash ROM with ADB, but I forgot to enable debugging before bootloop.
Is there a way I can fix it?
I don't need the things on my phone.
I just want it to work again.
Thank you for reading and provide me with guidance to fix my phone.
Trying to flash MIUI ROM using MiFlash. Hope it works. Then I can work my way back to Lineage OS.
flash the miui rom using miflash by going into the edl mode from fastboot.

I will do that after some sleep.
I have another thing to worry about. The charge light is not on and my phone won't shut down. It can only bootloop or in fastboot. I put it on fastboot now. Still don't know how to shut it down or not sure if it is charging because there is no charging light.
I followed this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/fix-bootloop-redmi-note-3-recovery-edl-t3521297
Flashed it, MiFlash says operation was successful but still won't boot up normally.
Now I don't have to worry about running out of battery because it boots to logo and turns off to nothing.

I currently have flashed CM 14.1 Rom but this rom have some bugs like casting doesn't work on this.
I want to get back to MIUI. Tried RR and Lineage rom but it gives error 7 on flashing.
Will try the method you have suggested.Anything else do u suggest if the format data doesn't work
Do u think my boot loader is unlocked since I could install TWRp and custom Rom although I never opted for official boot loader unlock since it always gives error ''couldn't unlock'.
will wait for your reply before formatting data.

Your bootloader is locked .Unlock the bootloader first and than flash the Rom again. Previously I had same problem, my problem was solved by unlocking the bootloader and clean flashing xiaomi.eu ROM through TWRP. If you have twrp installed than go for xiaomi.eu ROM. It is the best MIUI ROM. Hope this will help you.

Flash fastboot tgz rom with clean all option.
If rom is shown succesfully flashed on computer without any error showing. Then ok. no issues.

Then keep it on android logo for 15min. It will boot into miui. Leave it for 15 min.

I am pretty sure you flashed via twrp without format data first.
reinstall twrp and proceed as normal. format data in twrp wipe section.
As I understood he cannot do that because either twrp or fastboot don't stay but reboot immediately.
Concerning file explorers it is not the root permissions that triggers the problem, BUT IF YOU ADD OR CORRECT SOMETHING IN SYSTEM PARTITION.

You can try 2 methods to enter EDL mode and recover the phone. The first is to use a USB cable and create a bridge by joining the green cable (positive data) with the black (GND or negative), then you try to glaze with the Miflash tool, in theory you should recognize it in that mode. In the second method you must uncover the phone and use the test points above of the battery and create a Bridge with a metalic object in orden to enter un the EDL Mode.

This is system partition? right.
Done on 11.05eu and on twrp installed 11.08eu with X-plore file manager. (should be same with other FM)
Disabled root after modification done. still Magisk installed.
It is matter of testing, don't ask me to make more modification..... until issue is fixed or well understood.

You need an authorized mi account to do that but now xiaomi has restricted to give authorization to new mi account..in other word, flashing using miflash is useless now except if you can patching the prog_ufs_firehouse_sm6250.elf to bypass the mi authentication..

Yes there's issues with naming system but that's where codename comes in, right? Why can't people just read probably ?
I have the same problem. Installed xiaomi.eu rom verison 11.04, tried to update to 10.11 and stuck. What can cause that? I did exactly what they asked me to: formatted the /data partition (ONLY), installed via TWRP.
First time trying modified rom, it's a very bad experience and very time consuming. Probably won't ever going to do that again. :|

It is not bootloop..it is hardbricked..same like mine
No solution yet because of xiaomi locked flashing by user via edl mode.
i found solution ;
And tutorial is mine
What should to do in case of infinite reboot on REDMI logo after stock rom flashed?
1) If Bootoader is unlocked, enter twrp; If it is closed, try to unlock it, if it is the same pc and account for first unlock can be unlock.
2) Install the twrp version of stock rom (can find on web)
if boots very good to rescue
3) Re-install stock rom from fastboot with flash_all.bat (dont wipe on installed, let it wipe itself.)
Use MiFlash20191206.zip , this miflashtool saves my life
4) If the device is turned on, should be turned 99% percent, You can use unlocked bl or lock with flash stock rom with flash lock script.
Congratulations you fixed the problem!!!

What to do in case REDMI logo restarts when stock rom is loaded
1) If Bootoader is turned on, enter twrp; If it is closed, try to open it, if it is the same pc and account, it opens for your luck.
2) Install the twrp version of stock rom
3) Re-install stock rom with flash_all.bat without wipe
MiFlash20191206.zip this miflashtool saves my life
4) If the device is turned on, should be turned on 99% lock yourself with flash all lock and continue on the road
Congratulations you fixed the problem
