Any elaboration on the crom service? and how to use them for galaxy a5100.thanks

Tried but Failed
Hello. Thanks for your Rooting Kit, I had downloaded them, and tried to my unit A5100,here's what I did:
1. First, at phone Developers Options, I had the " OEM unlock" ON.
2. Second, I had downloaded the CROM Service apk at the "Galaxy Apps" on my phone.
3. Then, I've switched off my phone, put it at download mode, and connected to my pc via cable.
4. I downloaded the attached file in your post, extracted them using 7zip. and put them at my desktop to easily navigate.
5.. I open the Odin app, then at PDA space, Ive searched for the MD5 file at my desktop.
6. Then i clicked start, The bar at the upper left turns green up to 25%, and suddenly it turns red, with a "FAIL" sign, and I've seen a red message on my phone saying," Binary too large"
What went wrong?thanks..

Well for a start I'm not sure what you have extracted?
Just put the .tar in the AP slot and flash.

What do you mean splitting the firmware? Are you talking about decompiling it and breaking it into system.img, boot.img, etc?

Are you trying to flash the entire firmware or are you trying to install those separately? I ask because it is already in tar.md5 format to flash the entire thing with Odin.
In fact the instructions to flash the entire firmware are on the page if you scroll down.
Instructions
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.09
Extract Odin zip-file
Open Odin v3.09
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes

If you still want to break it apart I can probably help you

To completely reinstall the firmware use the directions on the Sammobile download page.... the ones I posted above. You only need the one file. Besides, I am splitting the tar.md5 apart now and there is only boot.img, system.img, etc.... they are not Odin files like in the video

[Q] Can anyone help with my S5839i?

Could I get some help with my Samsung Ace? I am at a loss as to what to do next.
Early last year, I got a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5839i from Three in the UK. Like everyone with this model, I had problems with the limited storage space and bloatware, even after moving apps to the SD card. After some research, I downloaded Titanium and used it to remove the bloatware. Unfortunately, I wasn't careful enough and I must have deleted one or more core files, because now I get the 'android.process.acore' error message very frequently and I am unable to receive/make calls or receive/send text messages.
I have been looking on several android forums, but I have to say I find all the terminology confusing: ROMS, kernels, Odin, SplitFus, flashing – help!
After trying many things suggested on various threads in the forums (all unsuccessfully), I really just want to go back to the way the phone was originally, and then try again with Titanium (more carefully this time!). Is that even possible?
One potentially useful thing that I have learned from the forums is that I could use firmware for the 5830i, even though my phone is the 5839i. The Three firmware for the model 5839i is available on Sammobile, so I would prefer to use that.
However, when I tried to load the 5839i firmware file using Odin 3.09, this happened:

<ID:0/004> FAIL!
<ID:0/004>
<ID:0/004> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
Can someone guide me through this? I just want to get back to how my phone was before I started using Titanium (so I can try Titanium again, but more carefully this time!). NB For some reason, I cannot use KIES.
What should I do?

after successful went into the originally rom i recommend you to flash simplicity v4 as it only take 4 MB on Internal Memory and you will have a lot of free memory and you will not need to risk with that titanium

I followed all of the instructions in that thread, but no luck. I used firmware for both the S5839i (single file) and the S5830i (multi files) in each of Odin 1.85, 3.07, and 3.09 (so, six attempts in total) but each combination either failed or, in the case of Odin 1.85, did not move out of Setup Connection.
What is going wrong? Is there something really obvious that I am failing to do? I have the USB Debugging mode enabled on my phone. What else am I doing wrong?

[ROM][ODIN] GT-N5110 XXDNE1 (Modem/Kernel/Bootloader/ROM - Full Restore - Unrooted)

I was asked to make this one-click to help simplify the process of restoring a stock factory build for our Note 8.0 users. At this time neither myself or @garwynn are planning on releasing a rooted One-Click.
This Odin One-Click.exe contains the Stock GT-N5110 XXDNE1 Bootloader, Kernel, Modem and ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 16GB Wi-Fi edition (GT-N5110). Yes, that means this comes with the full Knox Bootloader.
There has been no change to the ROM from the initial build released by Samsung.
This will NOT trigger the Yellow Triangle NOR will it increment the Odin flash count.
This one-click resets your whole device to the stock XXDNE1 experience, similar to a factory restore and it may wipe all data. It also contains the full bootloader and Knox.
Instructions:
1: Backup anything important and Disable any PINs.
During this process your device's software will be returned to the Stock setup. All system data will be lost. To be safe, it is best to archive your backup off your device, ie on your PC or Dropbox.
2: Install Samsung USB/Android drivers (if necessary).
Samsung Drivers Download Link
3: Download the XXDNE1 Stock ROM One-Click.
GT-N5110 XXDNE1 Full Restore Unrooted (Compressed Archive).exe (Resets user data)
4: Unzip One-Click ROM using 7zip (this package is a self-extracting exe you should just be able to double-click on it after download and it will do the rest).
5: Start the Odin One-Click.
Navigate to the location where the "GT-N5110 XXDNE1 Full Restore Unrooted.exe" was saved upon extract from the 7Zip archive.
Double-click on "GT-N5110 XXDNE1 Full Restore Unrooted.exe". *On Vista or newer, you may need to right-click on the file and Run as Administrator.
6: Place device in Download Mode.
- Power device completely off.
- Press and hold Volume Down, Home and Power buttons, all at the same time.
- Release the buttons only when the ‘Warning!!’ message appears.
- Press [Volume Up] to enter Download mode.
7: Connect USB cable to PC and device.
Odin should show a yellow COM port in the second column. If you do not see a yellow COM port, you may need to run the Odin One-Click as Administrator and/or unplug/plugin the USB cable after starting Odin One-Click.
8: Start Odin flash process.
Press [Start].
9: Complete - PASS!
Status should change to green PASS! At this point your device should automatically reboot.
The boot process will take slightly longer than usual during which time you'll see the Samsung logo screen.
Congratulations! You've flashed the Factory Restore XXDNE1 build!

This won't reset the counter but it won't increment it either. This is a 100% stock unrooted ROM so you'll be able to take OTA's again after flashing.

If you're bricked, how do you intend to use ADB?

I have full access to recovery and download modes.
I am unable to Odin and flash because of partition errors. I plan on using TWRP and the ADB option with Android SDk. Do you think this will work?
I have not been able to Odin . Pit files successfully and re-partition. I am hoping ADB will allow me to put the rom inside the current partitions and use TWRP to flash.
Just a thought. I really don't know what I am doing or how to fix it. But if I have download mode and recovery, I should be able to find a way.
I am currently in a bootloop to recovery.
Thanks for your response and any suggestions you may have.

I have followed the instructions posted here to the letter, but keep getting a FAIL! at the sboot.bin point shortly after starting one-click.

Unfortunately I don't know that this will work for you at this time. Essentially the one-click is a repackaged TAR. The TAR itself contains image files that correspond to specific partitions on your device. If the partitions on the device don't match up Odin is supposed to throw up a flag and stop the flash in order to prevent bricking the device.
I can't be 100% certain but given the fact it is stopping on sboot.bin, my guess is that the issues you are experiencing probably come from flashing a ZIP bootloader or ROM for another device. If that's the case we might be able to backtrack and undo what you've done so far but this won't work unless you have the right partition structures already in place.
I have spent hours trying to re-partition. The furthest I have gotten is where I am now... Stuck on Get PIT for mapping..
.. In ODIN. I am using the only PIT file for N5110 available on the entire World Wide Web!

hello, could someone please point me in the right direction. I've been trying to use this tool, I have access to stock recovery, when I factory reset it says it can't mount the /system. I tried this tool to reinstall every thing, but it fails at sboot.bin. all the research I've done leads me to believe this has something to do with the bootloader being locked, but I can't find anything about it, I keep getting lead back to this post. If anyone could point me where I need to be to figure this out I would really appreciate it.
Edit: I'm not sure what my problem was, but I eventually downloaded the stock 4.4.2 firmware and was able to flash through Odin and get up and running.

For some reason they post the US version under Cellular South. You'll need to create a free account to download. It took about am hour for me to download with the free account.

Does this clean up all the crap left over from many flashes & nandroid backups & restores? I find I have a lot of bits like old directories from previous meddling (mine) & would like to a real clean up back to pristine stock (so I can start meddling again, sort of from scratch so to speak.
Going to run it anyway (meddling again) to see what comes out the other end but was curious 'is all.

Not able to verify as I no longer have the Note 8 but if I remember correctly the error you are getting is due to your device having a newer bootloader than the one-click. Most of the time a new bootloader locks out flashing of older bootloaders.

I9300 internation, Bootloop + Odin problems?

Hey guys, recently got mugged for my new S5 and was given a unlocked, bootloop'd S3 i9300 international galaxy s3 (Im from Canada). My buddy told me he had dropped it from about knee high onto carpet when it started having some issues with restarting randomly. He attempted to root it to solve the problems and ended up getting it stuck in a bootloop without the possibility of entering recovery mode. However the phone does go into download mode, so I'm assuming this is a fixable semi brick?
Anyways I started doing my research and found out I should try and reflash the stock firmware using Odin. I found a firmware which I beleive to be the right one, and tried to use Odin.
I got the following message;
Odin v.3 engine (ID:4)..
<ID:0/004> File analysis..
<ID:0/004> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/004> Initialzation..
<ID:0/004> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/004>
<ID:0/004> There is no PIT partition.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
So I have no idea what this means, as every guide I've seen has said not to touch the PIT button etcetc
I'm not sure if this is helpful, but the writing in download mode is as follows : Odin Mode * Product Name (Blank) * Custom Binary Download : No * Current Binary : Samsung Official * System Status : Custom.
That's about all of the info I have, and seeing how this is the only phone I can afford right now any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks guys.

Have you tried more than one stock firmware. Where is the phone originally from? I'm not able to find and Canadian firmware.

Heres the link to the rescue firmware. All the info you gave me says you have pit problems.
This is an emergency firmware that will ever fix or brick the phone but the phone was given to you and you have nothing to lose.

The 4.3 download doesn't have the PIT file in it though, I'm guessing that's the important part? Edit *** repartition failed with the 4.1.2

The pit file is in the rescue firmware file. That's the whole point of the rescue firmwares.
I'm sorry I can't help you any further. I'm not going to provide you a pit file etc as I have no knowledge with them or used them.
Sounds to me like it is bricked.
Good Luck.
The power button is stuck, try to flick it some times and it should stop the bootloop. i drop mine when i was getting it out of my pocket last week and same thing happen, the smd switch got stuck and eventually i broke it down trying to get it lose again.

SM-G955U Unable to flash stock firmware

***EDIT*** The problem was that I was trying to flash firmware that wouldn't work on my bootloader version, I was running version 3, and the firmware I tried were all version 2. You can check the bootloader of firmware by starting at the right side of the firmware number, and counting back 5 spots.
Trying to get root, so I am downgrading the firmware, I have had nothing but trouble with it thus far, though. Any help would be appreciated.
SM-G955U - US Cellular Version
G955USQS3CRE2
Bootloader Version 3
Android 8.0.0
History of the phone, tried rooting quite a while ago, softbricked it, then went back to stock rom no problem. Flash forward a few months later, used the SamFail and PartCyborgRom method to have root, did not have mobile data, though, so I went back to stock, again. I was told after a bit that updating the modem would have fixed that issue, but oh well. Now, I want to use the SamFail mehtod to have root again, and fix the modem issue in the phone. I am trying to downgrade the firmware so that this will work.
However nothing is working properly.
List of all firmwares I have tried:

I have uninstalled the Samsung Drivers, rebooted and reinstalled, same for ADB. I have enabled USB Debugging. I can not enable OEM Unlock, locked bootloader.
For the Odin settings I have tried loading just AP. Then All of them. Then everything except for BL. Then all except for CSC.
The options I have checked are Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.

My phone still works just fine, have not bricked it trying all of these. I am open to all suggestions at this point. I know I had the stock firmware at one point in time, and I am trying to find it at any cost.

I don't have this device and there's really not much on the forum regarding the US Cellular variant for your device.
Your best bet is to take a look at the following link to a very good forum that's specific for US Cellular devices.
http://teamuscellular.com/Forum/forum/481-samsung-galaxy-s8/
I don't often recommend members to another forum unless it's a much better solution for what's needed.
When i used to have a US Cellular device (like my older Galaxy S4 that's long gone now) I used to use that forum and it was extremely helpful there.
Good Luck!
