G2 mini app running in background turns off - LG G2 Mini

Hello, i have LG G2 mini with stock ROM and Xposed framework. I use bluetooth GPS to play Pokemon GO, but app that i have to use (Bluetooth GPS Provider) sometimes turns off. Having to restart both apps is irritating. Is there any way to force app to work in background? I wouldn't mind, if Pokemon app would work a bit laggy. I have to use only this BT GPS app, because that's the only one that has plugin, that integrates GPS with system without "mocking locations". Sorry for non-perfect english, but i'm not native english speaker

There is an Xposed module called App Settings.
However, for android 5.0 and later, you will have to find v1.13 in the support thread. For android 4.4, v1.10 from the repo will do.
The option you are looking for is "resilience".

I've installed it as you said, v1.13 for 5.0, it seems to work, but unfortunately there's no such option :/ There's an option "resident", maybe this? I can also post screenshot if you want

facebook app force closes

I updated the app a couple nights ago and now it wont open and load anything, it hangs and then force closes everytime. I've uninstallled and reinstalled and it will allow me to login and it will work fine right up until I close the app and reopen it.
Any thoughts?
Had the same problem. I ended up reverting to the previous version with a backup.
Crashes for me too. I also went to a backup. Not sure what is that last version to work. My backup was from a month ago.
Mine too on CM7 Nightly 177 booting off an SD card. Hopefully they can get it fixed.
Have you fixed permissions? It runs fine for me,not a fan of it but it works.

Seems like the app is crashing when it tries to find your location using the (non-existant) GPS. Is there some way to inject a fake GPS position?
Install tetherGPS lite and start the client, it spoofs the app into thinking there is a GPS signal. Recent check ins load fine with this fix.

Why would you post this?
As of nightly 212, there is no built-in ability to fake GPS. This was never any mention of that ability on any changelog, and it certainly wasn't sneaked in or anything.
Facebook still attempts to access GPS and force-closes as of nightly 212 / October 6th (I'm guessing it is an incorrect or simply unhandled exception. Facebook for both Android and iOS are famous for having terrible programmers).
A fake GPS program is still required to use Facebook.
The Facebook app goes from bad to worse. Uninstalled.
Is there any other fix that doesn't require me to start the gps client every time before wanting to use facebook? What is the latest version of facebook I can get that will function fine without a silly work around? 1.6.?

This is not even working fully yet. I lost track of this due to working on GPE ROM. When I have more time I can check why it is not fully working.
From what I have seen the only way to ad other devices would be for LG to allow it. LG encrypts their IR blaster so only devices listed in the quickset device profile work if LGs IR blaster unless someone can crack the encryption. You can search play store for quickset and install the version from play store to see if it has more devices but IR not working yet on AOSP based ROMs yet.

Oh okay, I take it the reason it was working before is because then I was on LG's ROM not an AOSP rom? If this is case, would the backup I made of the LG ROM be of any use? I could pull out the quick remote app or something.
I don't know much about coding for android devices but I can still help. Let me know what I can do to get this project rolling again!

If you check in the G2 themes and apps forum there is a way to get QRemote working with AOSP ROMs and maybe the same method and/or files will work on G Pad.

My friend got it working on his g2 by just download an apk, but trying to put that apk on a v500 (running cm11) unfortunately does not work.
I reckon you'd need a lot of LG framework in order to make this work on AOSP. I wont stop you tho, would be neat. ^^

[Q] Z Ultra GPe FM Radio

I just received my new Sony Z Ultra GPe and I couldn't be happier with the device performance but I was really pissed to find that Google decided to remove the FM Radio application that Sony had included on the regular Sony Xperia Z Ultra!!
I tried installing the same APK that is included on the regular Z Ultra but the installation didn't work because it's a system app and my device isn't rooted.
I tried using Spirit FM but unfortunately that failed to activate the built in FM radio and didn't work.
Is there an FM radio app that we can use on the GPe ?

I tried three different apks, the one you posted and one that was nodded to work without headphones don't even show in app drawer. Third one was posted in a ROM thread for different Sony phone showed up but gives toast message saying it has quit working as soon as it trys to open. I wonder if it needs the odex file?
Have you had any luck with Spirit FM ? I've read that it's supposed to work, but again that needs root?

It does work! I had tried it before it was rooted not realizing it was required. The version I had purchased has been renamed "old spirit FM lite" and is no longer supported. Spirit1 seems to work but I didn't get Spirit2 to start. Anyways thanks for spurring me to test Spirit further.
Edit....uninstalled spirit lite and Spirit2 works, also has Bluetooth support.

Yeah, that's the thing isn't it. I have the Xperia model, but i'm currently running the GPe ROM and i love it for its lightness, but with lightness comes minimalism, and i'm a true minimalist in real life and hate having stuff i don't use, BUT having to install a third party videoplayer if i'd like to stream something is incredible annoying. Stuff the stock Sony ROM does out-of-the-box is not possible on a clean AOSP build.
I still love it though, but once in awhile i just have to go back to the Sony ROM and get cozy. Everything there just works.

Sorry for off topic but this seems as good as anywhere to ask.
1. Does uninstalling Sony apps cause issues?
2. Do Sony apps work with 3rd party launchers?

How dare you go off topic! Just kidding.
- No, it depends on what you're deleting. You will end up soft bricking it if you delete SystemUI or any other important app/service/libs but you're safe if you only want to remove "bloat". I made a list of apps that are safe to remove ages ago, and it's somewhere in the Themes & Apps section, so check that out. Be sure to either have a NAND backup ready in case something goes wrong, or know how to recover from a soft brick (bootloop etc)
- Yes, but some or all Sony widgets won't work.

If rooted, try the latest test release of Spirit2 here: http://d-h.st/vky
Or Spirit1: http://d-h.st/de8
Usually, it should "just work". If not, in Spirit1, send me a debug log. Tap the frequency button, enter the number 7 and tap "OK". After 20 seconds or so, press Send from your email client.
Google hates FM, so you don't find it on Nexus or GPE devices. Maybe Google One for "developing world" though, LOL.
ALL stock FM apps rely on "framework" code, usually proprietary and secret. Not a single GPE device has ever been able to run a stock FM app, only Spirit, which is low level and has mostly just kernel requirements. I'm just happy that Google's OEMs have accidentally(?) left the Qualcomm FM driver in the stock kernels.
I'm thinking about officially supporting Sony devices in Spirit2, and so I'm reading these forums to learn about different Z models. Used Z Ultras are now as low as $280 here, and new GPE as low as $350 so far,.But buying a phone is just a fraction of the long term cost learning how to root, unlock, flash ROMs without bricking, etc...

Lg G2 Mini Root+Bugs

Hi folks, recently I bought my ney g2 mini and of course the same day I rooted it to have full access to the device via λroot.apk. 2 days later my lock screen stopped working as I disabled via the lock settings, though I didn't. So I full reinstall the original firmware via my PC and the original LG TOOL+kdz ROM and after that u re-root the device. Some days later I had the exact same problem. So I did a second master format and I let the g2 mini unrooted and guess what. It works like a charm till now. Does anyone else rooted user had this bug? Is there another verified method to root the lg without any problems?? Thx!
Perhaps a root-enabled app or a virus is doing it.

Snapcheck checks for Xposed (because of Snapprefs), but I guess they don't check for the app. Just noting that for anyone who tries it; saving time.
Hy there,
This module caused a heavy lag/freeze and bootloop for me. Managed start the phone again (idk how), and removed it from xposed, now everything's working fine.
Phone: Sony Z2 (D6503) with pre-rooted android MM (6.01)
This works perfect to hide @Shaftamle keyboards from play services so they don't fc. Thank you!!
Did it works for hide Snapchat?
Android Pay would be another nice app if this would work using this method. I know I've tried others like root cloak etc. and other methods but they don't work unfortunately.

This module caused a heavy lag/freeze and bootloop for me. Managed start the phone again (idk how), and removed it from xposed, now everything's working fine.
Phone: Sony Z2 (D6503) with pre-rooted android MM (6.01)

Hello,
Sadly it's still laggy, and still causes bootlop.
I try to post a log from mega (file was too big for pastebin, and I don't know how to upload it here yet)
mega.nz/#!EYcklQBK!thsSDn0V7CS4lykUTdFr6gP9g27OOjQQsAYGW2Wtx8k
And ofc I don't have enough posts
Tried hiding Messenger from Facebook and it worked lol.
Tested on Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 TW 4.4.2
Just a little suggestion ....
Add a little note for example; color the row of the app that's been hidden from any other app so you know which apps are hidden just by opening the main apps menu.

Great to hear, seems like a nice suggestion, I'll look into it as soon as I can.
Thanks for the feedback

If i can suggest one more thing [emoji5] ...
When you select an app from the main menu, then get into the 2nd internal one; remove the auto focus on the text box so that you dont have to see the keyboard everytime.
And show a toast message to say for example "the app is hidden now" when you press the button.
Thanks so much for your work.

upload new versions if you'd like to check again. it fixed a bootloop on my device which happened after a system crash (some weird case)
turns out it was class cast exception on a return argument, and the caller turned out to be system app.

Snapcheck checks for Xposed (because of Snapprefs), but I guess they don't check for the app. Just noting that for anyone who tries it; saving time.
