Hi,
Sorry I had to create an account just for this question.
I am stuck at decrypting the pictures.
I have passed the rooting and locating the file where the snaps are located.
Now I'm stuck at the pictures, not being able to view them even after changing the file name.
Could someone help me out?
Methods I have found on the net, using Ruby or AES encryption but to no avail.
anyone with a solution?
willing to pay for my files to be decrypted!

[Q] Where are file extensions such as ".mp4" and ".mp3" located in an .apk?
I know it might be hard to understand the way I try to explain this conundrum but I've been up all night trying to figure this stuff out myself to no avail. I'm trying to rip the assets from a particular game/application (SONIC CD), and after decompiling it's contents via apktool, I'm greeted with pretty much nothing but .smali files. However, opening some of these reveal paths that are non-existent and files that cannot be found in any of the folders extracted. Pretty much all of them are scripts aside from the icons (.pngs) and a couple .xmls. Opening up "VideoActivity.smali" in the soniccd folder shows that they exist within the data I've ripped but I cannot find them.
Can anyone lend me a hand here? :fingers-crossed:
Hi
I'm desperately trying to decrypt the crypt7 db-file from whatsapp. I've followed a bunch of tutorials (this one for example) and tried a bunch of apps (WhatsApp Tri-Crypt, WhatsCrypt), nothing worked. In the tutorial above I keep getting a bunch of Java errors while running the .bat. Within the apps I get errors about the corrupt or missing key file. I extracted the key file manually out of /data/data/com.whatsapp/files/key and when I put it into any folder on my SD-Card the apps won't recognize it. I'm currently trying whatcrypt.com, but the upload takes a while :x
Can anyone help me on this one in case the website won't work either? I'd really appreciate it! I tried alternatives as well, but I want the smileys included in the "PC-version".
Thanks!
Okay. So a friend of mine sent me a picture which is very important.
Now. I have tried all the methods mentioned but they don't work because they are really old. I found my snaps in the received_image_snaps folder in data/data/com.snapchat.android/cache.
I got the "*.nomedia" files but whenever I decrypt them in AES ECB algorithm ,it saves as a .dat file and then when I change the extension to .jpg and try to open it. It dosen't open and says corrupted.
Any help devs?

That file is only so the snaps won't show in any gallery app on the device. It's an old trick to keep some things private in say your pic/music/video/backup what ever folder
Had you searched you would have found that there are a few threads about this and to my knowledge no one has found a way once Snapchat deletes the files after it is viewed
Hi All,
Am getting a bit desperate, as I've never before found a problem that has *absolutely* no result in even the most generic google/forum search.
Was running SDMaid on my Galaxy S5 (SM-900F; 4.4.2) and one of the .tmp files it came up with was named 'store_file.tmp' sitting in the 'root/data' directory. It was a whopping 1.81gb!
Have been trying to figure out if this is something I can safely delete or not, but even the most generic search of the filename on Google or the various android forums doesn't give me a single appropriate hit! The file hasn't been modified for a couple of weeks, but there's really no suggestion as to what program generated it. Have tried copying it to my PC and opening with verious text/hex editors, but none of them want to have anything to do with a file that size.
Has anyone come across this before? Any idea where it originates?
Hi, i was using smart switch file browser to go through my phones files and clear some photo, as i was trying to delete some individual videos i some how ended up deleting the whole "camera" folder. I was using a mac and have searched over for the files however there was nothing in my trash. Could someone please help me with locating the deleted folder would it be somewhere on my mac or somewhere on my phone
Thanks
