Had I known it temporarily went back in stock with Amazon, I would have bought it immediately.. I swear I've never had so much difficulty buying a phone before and as it turns out there's only so many delays I can stand before just quitting.

Picked up the gray one on Monday in NJ. A few stores have them in stock. A BestBuy in Philadelphia has some too.

I placed an order for 32GB on Nov 20th at 3:40pm EST and immediately got a confirmation order but since then it's pending. I had ordered a 16GB on Nov 16th at around the same time and for two days there was no info but finally received it by lunch time on Nov 20th. So, for me it took around four days to arrive.

Update: Got it this morning at 10am!
Same here. Ordered on the 20th, arriving on the 23rd. I was surprised that it would come that fast, especially since Thanksgiving is one of those days and ESPECIALLY when I called Google Play customer service the morning of the 20th and they told me it would be 3 weks before Google Play would get the 32GB tablet back in stock!

So, I know we've all got our fingers crossed that our orders will ship on Monday, October 7th and delivered on the 9th. But what if it doesn't? If you find out you're not going to get your phone until Thursday, October 10th...or later, will you cancel your online order and hope you can pick it up in the store instead?
If delivery date is after 10/10 I will not be happy but we won't know until it ships

Yeah, but what if Wednesday rolls around and Verizon verifies that it will be available in-stores the next day and you still haven't gotten a shipping confirmation. Will you cancel the online order and go pick it up in person on Thursday, or wait for the it to arrive in the mail on Friday...or later? And if it DOES ship on 10/10 via 2 day Air, it won't arrive til Monday, right?

Considering my nearest store is a five minute drive and our doorbell is sooo hard to hear to begin with, if it doesn't ship by tommorow i might cancel. In fact i might call and cancel anyways because of the doorbell haha.

Yeah, I won't be upset either. But you will know by the end of the day on Tuesday! If you don't have a shipping confirmation with a tracking number by Tuesday night, then the best you could hope for is a shipping date of Wednesday (10/9) with a delivery date of Friday (10/11). If that happens, and it's available in stores on thursday (10/10), will you wait til Friday to get it in the mail or cancel the online order and try your luck in-store?

Or ill just write a note saying to leave it at the door followed by printed name and signature. Ive done it before because of the door bell and it always has worked because they steal my note and leave the box.

If my card is not charged by Tuesday I am canceling my pre order
I'll probably just hold onto the preorder. I work early in the morning until 3:30 or so and wouldn't be able to make it to a Verizon store until later in the afternoon anyway. Wouldn't want to risk the chance of not getting one just over a few days wait.
I took the morning off of work specifically to be the first in line at Verizon.
If it doesn't ship by tomorrow I'm canceling and getting it in the store. The only use of pre order is the possibility of getting it a day earlier.

Hmmm...I'm really surprised by the number of people that don't plan on canceling their orders, even if they won't receive them until Friday or later!
However, unless I'm mistaken, there's no firm confirmation YET that they'll be available in-store on the 10th...is there?
All I know is if they announce that it will be a available in-store on the 10th, and my pre-order won't arrive until after the 10th (aka shipping on the 9th or later), I'm canceling my pre-order and will be at the store when it opens Thursday morning. The only reason I can see not doing that is if you were one of the lucky few that took advantage of the pre-order glitch that allowed you to keep unlimited data.
I personally will wait until Thursday and as long as I have received a tracking number for delivery that day I will be ok. If it isn't scheduled to be delivered on Thursday I will go into a store, purchase, and then cancel my order.
At least that is the plan right now.

Just snagged this phone today on amazon for a whopping $21.74 can't be anymore excited to have it wednesday. Exact same situation with me.
No pre authorisation, no order confirmation email.
I even used a different email to place another order for a different colour and same thing.
The order shows in the order history, and I have an order number but just no email.
If the majority of people are getting order confirmation emails and the funds pre authorised then I assume that we're the unlucky ones who's orders have been messed up amongst the high number of web activity and we will no doubt go behind in the queue.
Or alternatively I've got it wrong, and it's happening for everyone.
I started a chat with Google support, they just said that it might take a few hours to receive the email, which would be fine if I hadn't read about all these people receiving confirmation emails immediately and being pre authorised for their purchase.

If they mess up the order, I'll just cancel it and buy it from a brick and mortar store. I remember with the Nexus 5, I ordered one off the Play Store for myself and then managed to pick one up for my Mrs from carphone warehouse before the Play Store even despatched mine. Of course I did take my Mrs one for myself and told her to wait for the other one haha.

Messed up payment method and order deliver date slipped 5 days in the 3 minutes it to to enter it again.

With a bit of luck Amazon will sell it, I ordered the nexus 6 from them last year, it arrived quicker than Play Store and I prefer their customer service.
To be honest I've never known it be so difficult to spend money, seems Google don't want to take it :laugh:
