Hi guys,
I found Hard bricked Asus Memo pad in eletric waste, but whatever i tried was end unsuccessfully. Maybe someone can help me.
Situation:
- Tablet is stucked on ASUS logo.
- Volume up + power - dont work (no recovery)
- Volume down + power give me black screen but in PC i can see "Asus ADB interface"
- In this mode "ADB devices" give me nothnig.
- In this mode "Fastboot devices" give me > 123456789 Fastboot
So it looks like bootloader is "working" .....but
I already tried "Fastboot flash" recovery, boot etc.. but everything gives me "FAILED (remote: device is locked)" so it looks like bootloder is locked. I tried "fastboot OEM unlock" it give me OK but on screen nothing and still same error.
EDIT: Asus Flash tool dont work, but it looks like "user friendly ADB" ........ fastboot reboot-bootloader give me unknown usb device (device descriptor request failed) - RK driver wont work ...
EDIT2: ROCKUSB device installed. But RKflashtool give me rkflashtool: fatal: cannot open device
Some ideas how deal with it ?
EDIT (another) :
AndroidTool and Rockchip Factory tool are able to detect "LOADER device"
From both programs i got error "Firmware load failed" (i tried system.img, boot.img, recovery.img ...etc)
Me too.
I have this problem too.
Somebody please help.
Thanks.

Read my post maybe it can help you , I just got fixed ASUS Fonpad 7 from client who gived to me to repair his device .
But to me in order to get in Recovery mode I pressed Vol + and Power button together and one I see Logo I release both keys and I pressed couple times Vol - when I saw USB Icon or DroidBoot menu.
If you are able to go in to Recovery you can flash your device with SD Card or update with fastboot .

I dont want do anything, I just open my school books with it, and do homeworks, maybe 2-3 time weekly for about only 30 mins. I open them with my Asus notebook but PDFs are better in a 10.1' tablet!

I read the steps, but fastboot isnt working on this device, because non of the "fastboot flash ..." or "adb reboot fastboot" commands works. Also DroidBoot isnt working.
What should I do so?
Thanks
How your device is recognized in Device Manager ?

Yes.
Also in "This PC" it shows as a "MTP Transfer Device" and it opens the folder and if I insert a Micro SD card, it will show that also.
device is stuck in boot.
when I hold power button, the asus logo shows and then after asus animation, the progress circle spins and spins and spin...
after 10-15 second, the brightness increased a bit, like zenfone 5 boot and this tablet. that it brightness goes up a bit and then device boots and shows lockscreen. but now brightness increases but it still keeps at that screen. and dont boot.

Sorry, I think that you ask "Is" your device recognized in device manager.
-->It is recognized as: "USB MTP Device" under "Portable Devices"
Hi , try to manualy instal this ADB driver on Device Manager , make sure your device is OFF and try again (Vol + and Power button together and one I see Logo I release both keys and I pressed couple times Vol - when I saw USB Icon or DroidBoot menu)and connect your phone with usb open ADB comand line and write fastboot devices .
If not try eith other combination for example
Power off your device and press VOL + and plug USB
-||- and press Vol - and plug USB
-||- and press both Vol - and Vol + and plug USB
If your device is recognised in fastboot extract 3 image files from firmware and flash with fastboot commands like in my post .

I manually installed that ADB driver from device manager. I tried those three last ways, last one worked, but it go to "Android System Recovey 3e". I have also went here by pressing volume+ and power button holding. nothing new
problem is that i can't go to fastboot. If it go there, then it can fixed. Like when I had a problem like this on my Zenfone 5 A500CG when rooted and installed a custom rom. and I fixed it my self with "fastboot flash ....." command. also I fixed a Asus Nexus 7 2012 with same story.
In the "Android System Recovey 3e" it have these:
-reboot system noww
-apply update from ADB
-apply update from external storage
-update image from external storage
-apply update from cache
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
when I select apply update from ADB, that is when my pc detects it as: Asus Android ADB interface and I when i type "adb devices" it shows my devices for <sideload> next to it.
on device screen it shows:
Now send the package you want to apply to the device with: "adb sideload <filename>"
Write this command :
adb reboot bootloader
Shut down the device
Hold Power button + volume UP at the same time
Once vibrate, hold volume up only and it should enter into fastboot mode and from fastboot you should flash images .
Here you have steps how to reinstall firmware:

Yes i tried sideloading stock firmware first of all!
But the progress percent goes to 100% then on the device it says: start updating... then says verifying package... and then says verification failed, instalation aborted !
Try to disable driver signature on your pc , and try again if not try another firmware for your device if you have .

First of all I would thank Crowds he is the best reference that I've to return in case of any problem I face. (He doesn't sleep - any time I ask he immediately supports)
I bought Lenovo K910 and I've managed successfully to install new ROM "VIBEUI_v2.0_1443" and Gapps with Crowds support.
I advised two of my friends to buy this good and cheap phone. For one of them I installed the latest rom successfully. But with the other I had a big problem The phone stuck on Lenovo Logo.
I was trying to install TWRP 2.7.0.0 batch before installing my new ROM, but during installation and after the phone rebooting the batch command screen shows <Waiting for Device> and the phone is stuck on logo screen.
I tried to connect the phone to PC many times, but PC doesn't recognize the phone. When I try to turn off the phone by pressing the power buttons, the phone restart on logo screen like the shown in this video.
I've read in many site that I have to do the following:
Download and install "minimal adb and fastboot"
Just type on the command line without pressing Enter:
Code:
[COLOR="Blue"][B][I]fastboot [COLOR="Plum"][STRIKE]boot[/STRIKE][/COLOR] recovery.img[/I][/B][/COLOR]
you should place your recovery image file in "minimal adb and fastboot" directory
The phone should be disconnected from computer and completely off (press the Power button for 10 seconds - in my case the phone is restarting)
Press and hold both volume buttons, then connect the cable to the PC.
Once the phone vibrate, press Enter to execute the recovery command line
Click to collapse
In my case when I press and hold power button the phone is restarting on logo screen so I have to wait for battery consumption
I tried many times with TWRP images but it failed...
I tried with CWM image and it succeeded to load, but I don't have otg cable to load recovery or ROM from usb storage (The problem was in installing TWRP and my ROM should has no problem)
I want to flash TWRP on phone not only loading by "minimal adb and fastboot".
I decided to flash TWRP 2.7.1.2 batch through modifying the batch file. I just used fastboot commands
Code:
[COLOR="blue"][I]fastboot oem device-info
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot oem device-info
fastboot [COLOR="Red"][U][B]flash[/B][/U][/COLOR] recovery data/recovery.img
fastboot flash aboot data/lock/emmc_appsboot.mbn
fastboot flash rpm data/lock/rpm.mbn
fastboot flash sbl1 data/lock/sbl1.mbn
fastboot flash dbi data/lock/sdi.mbn
fastboot flash tz data/lock/tz.mbn
fastboot reboot[/I][/COLOR]
Finally I succeeded to install Recovery and phone works well in the new recovery mode and the system mode that I've not update it yet
I want to share you the problem solution in brief:
Download and extract this file "flashrec TWRP v2.7.1.2" from here
Just select without executing "flashrec_Modified.bat" file from the extracted files.
The phone should be disconnected from computer and completely off (press the Power button for 10 seconds or wait for the battery to be almost empty)
Press and hold both volume buttons, then connect the cable to the PC.
Once the phone vibrate, press Enter to execute the recovery batch file
and as me the phone start the recovery mode in TWRP and can be rebooted in system without any problem
i must extract "flashrec TWRP v2.7.1.2 this file on phone or where? can u explain a

As long as the hardware is not physically broken, your K910 is unbrickable
http://www.teamsuperluminal.org/unbrick-lenovo-k910/
I followed the guide to revive my K910. You can refer to this forum post in which I documented my experiences:

You need to carefully follow each steps in the method - if you short that magic pin and then connect the USB cable (with battery disconnected), your computer will report seeing the device at either COM port 9008 or 9006. Then you can download the factory image to revive the phone. Of course you need to have the right device driver installed. Like I said, as long as the hardware is not broken, this procedure will succeed for sure.

Dude seriously..???!!!
I asked you if you could enter in recovery or fastboo mode, and you said no, my phone just vibrates. If you didn't knew how to boot into fastboot you should've asked me right away.
Btw, here are the different key combos:
1) Recovery - Press VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER KEY and release POWER KEY once the lenovo logo shows up.
2) Fastboot - VOL DOWN + POWER KEY
3) Download Mode - VOL UP + POWER KEY
Multiple brick solution threads already exist, please search before posting your own.

hard bricked by flashing a miui rom from twrp without deleting the emmc file :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
i can only go to fastboot , no recovery , miui logo for 3 seconds
please someone help me !!! :crying::crying:
will the test point work ?
Edit :-
Thank you all , i managed to unbtick using test point .!!
I know enough to tell you that I'd you can get fastboot yo work, its not bricked. Honestly I don't own the device. I own lg g3. And it might be different for this device but you can try pushing recovery from fasyboot mode using your PC. You might wanna google how to tbh and ask around ppl with similar device if possible. Pushing through fastboot/adb is most common so pushing recovery will format recovery partition and install/push new one. That will get you working recovery. (I hope). Happy flashing.
In fastboot check if bootloader is locked by running the device info command... It is not locked you have hopes... Use fastboot to flash fastboot rom package with modified emmc file and modded image...
Its locked
Only way is to do test point method or take it to a service center

If bootloader is unlocked officially then can we flash any MIUI recovery ROM using TWRP without need of modifying Recovery ROM (deleting bootloader file , patch boot.img) ? can we switch to any MIUI ROM then easily ?

Oh Lol , have asked many people but none of them are sure about this .. but i have asked from mi chat they said once bootloader is unlocked you can't lock it back by flashing MIUI roms as it's security feature . SO we can say unofficial method is problem if you like to switch to between ROM's but official one will not create any problems ..still not sure though have to ask who have done through Official method.

The solution:
1. Press and hold VolUp+VolDown+Power (all 3 buttons) at the same time.
2. The MI logo will appear for some time, and then disappear, don't release the buttons.
3. The MI logo will then appear briefly, and then disappear. Now release all 3 buttons.
4. Connect the phone to PC, and then proceed to use MiFlash as usual.

then, i've try to install root (following a tutorial for this device and this comp.) but i could not enter to FASTBOOT MODE
try using:

-(power btn) + (vol+) + (vol-) + (plug the device)

Then i try to enter fastboot using the adb command {ADB REBOOT-BOOTLOADER}
but it just reboot normally (sony logo and then start normally)
[[ADB do recognize my device and all drivers were properly installed; but can't enter to fastboot mode]]
---
I've try to reflash my device again, but then i couldn't be able to enter to flashmode
{ with the device off; press vol- and then connect to usb}
after several attempts using - [(power btn) + (vol-)] i entered flashmode and reflash my device...
----
then i activate dev mode: [usb debuggin and OEM UNLOCK]
and try to get to fastboot mode, but the same results...
i got my device recognized by {ADB DEVICES}
but can't get fastboot
-----
Then the user who's helping me told me to reflash using this config
[in excludes section check all except AMSS_FSG, AMS_FS1, AMS_FS2,BOOT DELIVERY, KERNEL. Don't check anything else.]
But i can't get flashmode now... i try all the combinations, try in ubuntu 16, and windows 10... but nothing
the device starts normally nothing wrong.... except well, i can't enter any -mode- now...
any help?

Girlfriend tried to update her Sony Aqua M4 e2306...
she says that the boot loader was unlocked, and she installed the twrp update... and the root check came back rooted.... she powered off the phone and put it on a charger. ...
a few hours later she tried to restart it and only got the Sony Xperia screen then reboot loop.
I've spent 2 days reading everything that i can find and trying various solutions but most won't work because it won't stay connected long enough to use companion, adb, fastboot, bootloader, etc. When the devices is seen by pc it is only for a moment and comes up as a generic MTP device or a hard drive i can't open.
I can get the occasional green or blue lights and sometimes a generic battery symbol by powering off and pressing + or - with power, but never get a recovery or boot load screen... only alternating "sony Xperia" and darkness
also, Emily won't update.
I've tried multiple solutions using different versions of SDK, ADB, sony and xperia Companion, fastboot, bootloader, odin, pwm, and more on multiple machines from XP to Win10, but nothing seems to even make a dent!
I've removed the back and disconnected the battery for 2 hours and am currently trying to research a more physical hack/repair using riff jtag.
i see many people with "boot loop" issue , but no one seems to follow through and say how to get out if you don't have the option of booting to anything....

Not sure what your problem is exactly but it is most likely a problem with the cable or the s1 driver's(if your using window's?) one or the other ,
However i need to point out that you must have your OEM lock at the SWITCHED ON position(allow the device to be oem unlocked) or you will trip the frp at the next reboot and will have to reflash your firmware unnecessarily , so to sum up Oem unlock at the switched on position

the drivers are all installed correctly, I tried doing this with the OEM off and on and it did not work
none of the methods works, adb does normal boot
recovery reboot (and other apps) crash or boot normal too
volume (+) and power button only makes the phone vibrate (and sometimes the Sony logo appears)
I can't stress to you enough that Enable Oem need's to be on the "on position" so switch it on (allow the device to be oem unlocked)and leave it alone it's nothing to do with you not being able to get to fastboot. If you trip the frp on your phone you will not be pleased.
with that said with your phone switched on and USB DEBUGGING SWITCHED ON plug into your usb on computer open a command window and input the following command- adb reboot bootloader you will now see your blue light on the phone this means your sony is now ready for you to flash a custom recovery (assuming you have unlocked your bootloader ?)
Guys I'm not sure what the heck I did wrong, but I flashed a modem file linked earlier in the RR forum by another member in ALKA TWRP in an attempt to increase my signal strength , and it completely destroyed my device. No power on, No fastboot, no recovery, no EDL. Flashed a red LED on USB connection and shows as HS USB 900E. I guess I need to use test-point method to unbrick it?
My device was unlocked using official method, running latest Resurrection Remix, Radon Kernel, Alka TWRP 3.0. The modem flashed fine and didnt report any errors, but as soon as I hit the "Reboot System" button the phone completely died on me.
I see some other methods such as this : http://xda-developers-1.blogspot.ca/2016/04/unbricking-redmi-note3-from-hardbrickhs.html
I would prefer to use a method like this, but the tutorial is for other phones and a lot of the required files have been taken down
Any help?
What about this thread on MIUI?
I can't get into the proper fastboot mode or EDL mode
I tried using this method of disconnecting the battery and USB cables but it didnt work
http://en.miui.com/thread-274589-1-1.html
Getting into edl mode using the volume buttons is very tricky. Never managed it myself.
On thread you linked they say "press vol+ and vol- and connect the usb" where I have read before that you connect the power first and then quickly press both volume buttons.
http://xiaomitips.com/guide/how-to-put-redmi-note-3-into-edl-mode/
Ive been trying that one but i keep getting into 900E mode instead of EDL mode every time

That Won't work because I cant reboot into fastboot. Step 2) Reboot into fastboot.
I guess you have to use testpoint method then. Just a tip for the future dont flash roms/zips unless they are confirmed to be legit/working.
Another site suggests a different method with the volume buttons.
Make sure you hold the phone in a way that you can comfortably press both volume buttons. Now press the Volume up (+) and Volume down (-) buttons simultaneously and connect the USB cable. The key of success here is timing. Make sure you press both volume buttons and the same time as pluging USB cable in.

Found the solution to get into EDL without volume button tricks.
[Tools, Tips & Tutorials] [kenzo]Entering EDL mode via Test Mode Screen
Who cannot enter EDL mode from standard Android boot and have no abilty to boot an image from FastBoot mode, you could try the following:
Switch the phone off.
Press and hold both Volume keys and Power key.
As Mi logo appears on the screen, release all buttons.
After several seconds, Test Mode Screen should appear (SYSTEM INFO, KEYPAD BACKLIGHT etc.).
Open Device Manager in Windows.
Connect the phone to the Windows computer (no matter which cable end is inserted first).
If ADB drivers are installed, "Android device" branch should appear in Device Manager, containing "Android Composite ADB Interface" and "Xiaomi Composite MDB Interface". Addionally, there should be "Portable devices" branch with "Redmi Note 3" device. If some drivers are not installed, install them.
Execute "adb devices" command to check if ADB connection is established.
If no devices are shown by ADB, wait a minute until "Redmi Note 3" device gets the "!" mark. Repeat "adb devices" command.
If "Redmi Note 3" device is not marked by "!" after a minute and ADB does not list the phone ID, try to disable "Redmi Note 3" in Device Manager.
As the phone ID becomes listed by ADB, execute "adb reboot edl" command.

Keep repeating "adb devices" until it reports connected.
Just tested and can report it works.

At least the phone is working now. Getting recovery booted and installed was a bit of a challenge. (fastboot boot recovery.img then copy new recovery and rom to device, flash everything at once)

Does anyone know how I can update my baseband/modem using TWRP? My signal is still crap on RR ROM. I am afraid to flash another modem file which will risk bricking my device again. Or am I supposed to flash modem and then reflash the ROM?
Flashing in TWRP "should" be fine. Nor is flashing the Rom after needed because custom roms (9/10) don't touch these partitions on purpose. Now if ya using stock, that's different.
But I don't kno because I don't have the device yet (arrive Monday ). To eliminate risk, use ADB to flash the modem instead.
Again idk exactly what's going on with this device and it's methods yet.
