Noticed Metro now has an OTA system update out and since my pc access and bandwidth is limited I'm not setup to flash back to the newly available stock firmware. So I was wondering if anyone has had success appling this OTA update and keeping root using Flash Fire or another method.

I have a version V10c-eur-xx with root update version appears to me to V10d I try to update then appears to me the following error 0x1125000 anyone know what could be done?

You tried to perform an OTA update while rooted?
Try a restart, if that doesn't work you can recover your phone using either lg bridge or lg up (using bridge is recommended for users who don't really know what they're doing).

I tried to update via PC and it fails there is another option to update to V10D without prejudice at the root?
Well then you'll have to flash the correct stock .kdz for your device using lg up and reroot. Instructions can be found in this thread.
I have same error with N update but device was never rooted... Clean stock soft. Any recommendations?
I am about to loan my LG G3 Sprint out to someone and currently only mods I've done is take it back to stock ZV4 and root it with StumpRoot and disabled the handsfree crap. Before I loan it out I'm getting harassed by Update notifications and I'm wondering how do I maintain root and update to the latest ZVC? OR at the very least stop the update notifications.
The latest is actually ZVG. I recently reset my G3 to stock using the LG Flash Tool, then simply installed all the OTA updates up to ZVG. Then I used this script tp root it:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/development/ls990-zva-zvb-one-click-root-method-t3212433
This script worked fine, but needed some manual intervention. I put the tips in this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70723522&postcount=3
If you want to only update to ZVC and root it, that script should run fine on ZVC also, but I can't confirm. To prevent OTA updates, maybe you can use Titanium Backup to freeze the OTA process.

No you cannot. Once you download and try to install on rooted, it will give you installation error. You can flash stock KDZ and then update but in that case you will lose root.
You can update manually using LGUP.After update you have to root again.
Hi,
like others I had issues with the update via kdz file (V20e - some intialisation error at the beginning of the update process). What also works with no issues (except you have to install TWRP and root again) is the update via LG Bridge. It does basically the same LGUP does with the kdz-update. There is no loss of data as well. Worked fine for me.
Well the title says it all and so now I'm wondering if there is a way for me to get around this. Is there a way to uninstall kingroot completely and start over get the update and then root again with kingroot or by some other means?
Your best bet is to use the lg bridge tool I believe to update your phone. Rooting removes a certain file that the is needed for over the air updates.
Either lg bridge or lg up to flash the newest software update will help.
Hello,
I currently have a AT&T factory unlocked G965U build R16NW.G965USQU3ARG7 on T-Mobile and I want to update to Pie. Yesterday I popped an activated AT&T SIM card to update the device to Pie and had no OTA luck. Can I download the latest version PPR1.180610.011.G965USQU3CSAB and install it via ODIN or do I need to do an incremental upgrade. I also tried updated to R16NW.G965USQS3ARG8 via SD card sideload and got an “error 7”, I do not care about the data on the phone. Should I only use ODIN or ADB? Also I can't seem to locate AT&T's version of Pie. If someone can guide me in the right path it would be great-full.

What I did for my ATT device, is changed the date to 22 Feb 2019 or a few weeks out, and then ran the OTA checker on the device and then it started downloading to update to pie. Either way, good luck and thread moved here...
