Probably a dumb question, but every single notification I get seems to wake the screen and I can't find a setting that explicitly disables this. I'm using a KIW-L24 running marshmallow.
Would any of you know how to stop this behavior?

Go into settings. Select Screen and passwords.
Turn off the option 'Notifications turn on screen'.
I hope this helps you. Take care!

Oh my goodness thank you so much! It was driving me crazy and I couldn't find it under any sort of notification setting.

i have the puzzle option disable but still not going to sleepp. any other advice?
I think it's because some apps are running in the background. Please download one of the task manager app from the market and try clean the app you don't need. Then it will go back to sleep.

Hi. I have been having the same problem where my Xperia X10i does not sleep (screen stays on) following a missed call. I have tried the suggestions in this thread so far but no luck. It places a significant drain on my battery should I not observe the missed call soon after. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Kind regards
Scott
Every once in a while, while idle, I get a notification in the notification bar that warns me not to listen to music too
loudly. Is there any way to disable that? It's just annoying. I didn't see anything in the normal or in the developer
options.

Nope. Unless... root... Afterwards I believe things like GravityBox could help with that.

Thanks, I was kind of figuring since there wasn't an option anywhere, it might require root. No biggie, just a little annoying, but
I can put up with it.

I think it's baked into Android, probably on the advice of Google Legal. It's on KK 4.4 on my Moto G, which I haven't bothered to root.
OK so in lollipop every time I boot up it wants me to set screen a screen security but I don't like having a lockscreen so does anyone have any idea of how I could disable this? Tia

on the stock L?
i dont reboot much, but i remember that happening when i had stock on.
maybe try clicking the notification and re-select none, or set one then take it off.
possibly would remember you dont want one. not sure what else to try.

Hey google not responding with screen off or locked?
Tried enabling in the settings, still only works when phone is active?.
I have same problem ... It works only on lock screen, not when screen is black. So for example if I have accident and cannot move my arms, then I cannot use assistant to call for help, because I need to push power button (or double tap screen) first . This is very sad, just imagine how many people dieded because they could not call for help .
LOL, im sure it will get fixed, glad its just not me.
Did they remove the BOOST charge option for you to?

I never heard of boost option what is that ..
In charge setting there was an option called BOOST MODE, i was getting 18 min charge with it on, now its 21-22 mins, not a big difference really, just wondered where it went.

LOL, yeah it probably will not get fixed for a while if ever, its a satey net issue.
God dam annoying though.
A neat workaround is if you have a smartwatch, it still works on that.
Hello, can anyone guide me how to fix it without rooting? So double tap to wake is not working after a factory reset, Double tap to sleep on lock screen works tho. I did a factory reset because of heavy ghost touch issues.
Probably a settings issue.
Or simple load the app Double tap, it's likely is better than the stock app.

Yes, thank You very much, I was planning to say thank You and giving reports after testing it, but strangely it worked fine just now... So I guess problem solved, by itself. Thank You for the suggestions tho, appreciate it

You're welcome.
Double Tap is a near perfect app. I use instead of the Samsung one as it has more and better features to dial it in. No downside, stable.
