NOTE : You may need to clear the cache and data of Google Keyboard before the new emojis will be visible and/or accessible
I had to clear cache and data, but they are definitely there now, just remember to go back and reset your input settings, i.e. auto correction settings, block offensive words, etc...

The steps which I took are:
Encrypt
Set Password
Install custom keyboard
Disable Google Pinyin Keyboard
Restart
Password input is unavailable
Wiping with the exception of cache does not work, possibly due to the encryption.
I am running the stock recovery as that updated by itself after the encryption.
I have found a Google keyboard which I don't know how to flash onto the ROM.
Thank you for your interest,

If "Accounts" setting is missed in a Chinese Android Watch, how to solve it ?
I have bought an Chinese Watch like Android Wear, i.e. with standalone CPU & Android system inside.
As expected, it doesn't provide Google Play, but even worse, it also doesn't provide "Accounts" in the system setting interface (GUI). The latter problem will bring me difficult in sync-ing with (multiple) Google Accounts' Data. Even I think I can flash the OpenGApps with Google framework by rooting it, this solution can just bring me back the Google Play, but not bring me back the "Accounts" in system setting interface (GUI).
How can I solve it? Or any workaround ways/apps for me to access that setting ??
(N.B. Don't tell me to flash another custom ROM, since it is a rare product. No custom ROM or forum is available)
Hi to everyone,
since 6.0.1 the SIP Account settings under the phone settings are no longer available. I'm using now stock rom 7.1.1 and my questions is if there is a mod that enables the SIP account settings. My phone is rooted. I tried the Lineage and Bernis ROM,. These settings are still there but these roms have problems with loosing data connection after a few minutes after boot up. Out of this case I'm looking for a solution the enable again the in build sip account settings.
Thanks in advance for any hint
Hi,
so I had some time and I figured out, why the sip account settings are not visible within Xperia Z5C and N 7.1.1.
When I looked through my phone I saw within the oem partition the folder overlay. This folder is used that a developer do not touch the original android files and he is able to store in this place configuration files that overrides the original settings. In this folder are two files stores (of course many more) that are relevant for the SIP settings, These two files I found are: android-res-284.akp and android-res-305.apk.. These files are holding the settings for the SIP menu entries. After I deleted these two files, bingo I have my SIP accounts back and everything is working great.
So if your phone is rooted, boot into TWRP, mount your SD-Card and the OEM and at first make a copy of your complete OEM. Than switch into the OEM folder - go the overlay and delete the two files from above. Reboot your phone and your SIP accounts are back.
I'm using a 5ZC N 7.1.1 with Kernel 5.23 from tobiaswaldvogel and Stock ROM 32.4.A.1.54.
Everything what you are doing - do it at your won risk Of course your phone must be rooted.
I want to factory reset my phone and was wondering is there any way to generate a list of all preferences that I have modified before wiping everything? The phone is Samsung Galaxy S7 on Android 8.0.0
I don't care about backing up app data, I only want to be able to setup the phone exactly like I like it with minimal fuss.
(I would rather do it manually and not sync my system settings through Samsung account or Google).
Thanks
My MiPad is on:

Recently, most of the UI has stopped functioning altogether. I've tried wiping the cache & dalvik, along with restoring a backup on the same build which I made when I flashed it & yet, it's still not working properly.
Instances are as follows:
1. Home & Recent keys have no functionality at all. Pressing them does nothing.
2. Notification drawer only drops down once. Can't access the extended one.
3. In settings, if I click on Users nothing happens.
4. Developer options are visible in the settings but inside there are no options except the message "Developer options are not available for this user".
5. SD Card slot isn't responding at all, not even in recovery so I think that's completely gone.
6. Some of the settings reset as well. Like, the order of soft keys I had set.. with the back button on the right, it's on left now. Display settings as well to name a few.
I'm yet to try a complete wipe but I thought I'd try sharing this here first if anyone else has experienced something similar.
Regards.
did you backup and complete wipe by now?
what if you use a newer build e.g. lineageos 16.0?
