Dear experts. I have a (Indian)6802, it came preinstalled with 5.0.2, and reverted to official UK 4.4.4 with flashtools, rooted, flashed dual recovery, took TA backup and unlocked bootloader using adb commands that came with the unlock code in email, since flashtools (0.9××) returned with the error that z ultra is not supported.
Now I want to relock the bootloader and flash stock 5.1.1. Can I just flash the latest ftf with flash tools or update it using pc companion?
I tried relocking it with the latest flash tools but it again returned with an error that z ultra is not supported. I am not concerned with locking boot loader again, my only concern is, can I flash Official 5.1.1 without relocking the boot loader? Please help. Thank you.

I have rooted my device on 6.1.A.0.452 and I wanna update it but it can't be updated because of the root (I tried to update it from Sony PC companion and phone updates it self and i failed ). So anyone give links to flash the new rom without any change
because you have rooted your phone im assuming you've unlocked your phone, you cant update your phone if you have unlocked your phone,
if u want to update via seus or pc companion you have to relock it again.
relocking bootloader
or if u just want to flash latest update, flash it via flashtool,
flashtool
firmwares
thanks for the reply and the links.
But I can flash without relocking it. Right ?!
I Guess I rooted it without unlocking the boot screen.
I already unlock boatloader. Can I go back to stock rom and relock my bootloader, flash back my TA backup and recieve OTA updates in future? Any guides on that pleaese? Thanks in advance...

Yes. Flash stock ftf first then relock bootloader. If you try to relock bootloader on custom rom it won't boot.

Yup, be sure to be on a stock ROM before you do it, and remember that you have to have root to restore TA. The standalone TA tool (from the cross dev section) restores and locks the bootloader, so no need to do it again in Flashtool after you've restored TA.
Worst case scenario: You restore TA and lock the bootloader and the device won't turn on, and all you get is a simple vibration and a blinking red light. Open Flashtool and unlock the bootloader again. This will happen if you're not on stock kernel (i.e you have recovery), so be sure to be on stock ROM w/ stock kernel.
Hello,
Since I can't find the FTF file for my region is it possible that I flash the lastest firmware directly from official softwares like PC companion or Sony Update Service on my device that still have the bootloader locked with recoveries? or is the risk to high and I should just unlock bootloader and flash the update via flashtool?

You shouldn't have to unlock the bootloader to flash a FTF, just grab a generic version for your model and flash away (by default flashtool will wipe data so back it up)
so i want to update my phone via xperia companion, but it's not working and i'm asking for my he said that, it must re-lock again before we do some update. is there any tutorial to re-lock m4 aqua again? or how to update without re-lock the bootloader ??
thanks for your concerns
flash stock rom then restore TA backup. restoring TA backup automatically relock your bootloader
If you want to update without locking your bootloader or you didn't backup your ta partition
Don't use pc companion and just use flashtool
You can relock your BL with flashtool. Just pres BLU option, insert your IMEI and the unlock code that you got before from Sony and follow the steps. Then, you will be able to update your firmware with pc companion. I did it on my 2306.
After you update, you will be lose the root user privileges.
I want to re-lock bootloader but Back up TA v9.11 stuck on "Waiting for usb debugging...".
EDIT: tried on an other pc and worked.
Hi
Im on Marshmallow AOSP 6.0.3 rooted and bootloader unlocked
so i was wondering how can i revert back to factory setup so that i can use Sony Pc Companion and update my Z2 to the latest sony stock firmware ?
some told me to just flash a stock firmware using flashtools but does it relock my bootloader ?
and I heard Pc companion only works if the device's bootloader is locked . Does it really need to be locked for the PC companion to update?

Did you backup TA partition before unblocking the bootloader???
If no then you cannot use PC companion
But why you need PC companion???
You can flash the lastest firmware with flashtools
