You can't update OTA if you have modified your phone. Use Flashtool (you WILL loose root)

I have rooted my device on 6.1.A.0.452 and I wanna update it but it can't be updated because of the root (I tried to update it from Sony PC companion and phone updates it self and i failed ). So anyone give links to flash the new rom without any change
because you have rooted your phone im assuming you've unlocked your phone, you cant update your phone if you have unlocked your phone,
if u want to update via seus or pc companion you have to relock it again.
relocking bootloader
or if u just want to flash latest update, flash it via flashtool,
flashtool
firmwares
thanks for the reply and the links.
But I can flash without relocking it. Right ?!
I Guess I rooted it without unlocking the boot screen.

Nothing if you flash ftf [system only (unchecking wipe)] via flashtool. If you do it via PC companion you will loose root. I did it via pc companion and then re- rooted via easy root tool, Just an extra 5 mins that's all. Have you unlocked your bootloadser m8? Hope this helps a bit m8?:highfive:
Ok so im by no means new to rooting and roms and the like since ive rooted every phone ive had over the last 5 years but for the life of me i can not seems to figure out these sony devices. So i downloaded and flashed the new 5.1.1 ftf thru flashtool last night and everything is working fine. I have google and searched thru xda about ways to root and i thought the first step would be to install XZdual recovery but i downloaded nuts installer and ran it which seems to have worked but it still does nothing whether trying to manually enter recovery or doing it thru adb. Ok guys what am i doing wrong? Any help would be great!
Must downgrade to 4.4.2, the XZDR will root and install a recovery, then you install a pre rooted package or modified but stock-based 5.1.1 ROM, you won't loose root or recovery; but you wont be able to update via "official" methods like OTA or PC Companion because you have modified the phone's software.
Step # 1 is downgrade to 4.4.2 (314 build number works like a charm)
Damn what a pain but thank you for the reply at least thats a start since there are lots of guides for rooting 4.4.2 lol. Thanks
You don't have to downgrade to kitkat, You can downgrade to lollipop 5.0.2 (by flashing a new ftf via flashtool) and root via king root and install recovery via xzrecovery app (after getting root access) and then follow these steps:
1.Download a pre-rooted firmware 5.1.1 (flashable zip)
2.Boot into Recovery (TWRP Recommend)
3.Install - Choose ROM direction - flash the ROM zip and wipe cache\dalvik cache
(don't worry this won't wipe your data)
# I highly recommend you to do a factory reset after flashing because if you didn't the phone will be laggy and battery will drain extremely fast
*And If you have xposed installed don't forget to remove it because it may causes problems
If I Helped, Leave A Thanks ?

If your going to downgrade to an older version of Android, why not go to a version of Android that can be rooted by an app that that doesn't require internet access or all the permissions of kingroot?
Kingroot requires a lot of permissions on your phone to complete something fairly basic.

I want to downgrade my phone to lollipop to root it but when I try to flash official lollipop D6502 ftf file it gets stuck on flashing system.sin. I am following every step for flashing. I have tried it several times but it gives same problem. My phone stopped working and I repaired it using PC companion. I am using latest flashtool by androxyde on Windows xp with all drivers installed. I want to install rooted marshmallow firmware in my phone. Please help me!!
i have sony xperia Z2 android version 5.1.1 Build number 23.4.A.1.232 rooted with XZdual Recovery
now there's new softwear update for the phone approximately 895 M.B
i download it and when i try to install it restart the phone then the update android icon appear for few seconds and then the phone load into TeamWin Recovery screen..then i choosed reboot system..but when the phone starts it didn't update and said "error updating please try again later"
so what is the right way to update the phone software
You need to flash back to a clean firmware, fully stock, no mods to be able to use OTA update. Use flashtool or Sony companion app. Or check one of the builds here on XDA.
