Most likely the one from play store will get updated as well which is why i have uploaded the last version with the included action memo.
I can verify that the Samsung Acct sync option worked fine, all my action notes from my Note edge cam over just fine.
Cheers

Thanks!

So Samsung Note is pointless? Rly don't get why they have 2 apps again for the same thing.

They want to integrate everything into one apps but to some of us kind of failed. One of the best thing about action memo is their link to action feature... we lose it with the new samsung memo and lots of other stuff that was in Snote were missing.
Samsung Note is getting thrashed with all the 1 star reviews over at playstore (and rightly so IMO). Wonder how they can come out with this so called all in one note app that is half-baked and lacking in so many features that it felt more like an alpha rather than a fully conceptualised app.

S-note has a ton of features, my favorite is photo note, I can take a photo of a piece of paper, a drawing, or text, and then I can write on it, and edit it. S-Note converts it into a text/line art image that I can easily modify. Used it at least once a week. It was one of the Note line killer features, and was heavily advertised, years ago. Also you could seamlessly write on photos. In Samsnung Notes, text, photos, and writing all live separately on the page, with S-note you could write all over the page, no matter what was under it.
I actually came to this thread to encourage everyone to rate Samsung Notes on the playstore and help them see the need for a change. I understand updating an app, but this removed 75% of the features. If it wasn't for screen off memo, the Samsung Notes app would be completely useless.

Jovy coming through. Thanks much for posting this man. Was sooooo missing action memo.
Edit:
One thing I noticed is that doing this does get rid of the ability to do off-screen notes. Kinda a bummer.

Screen of notes still go to Samsung Note. They are still there, just harder to find.
They are pushing out a update to s-note via the samsung galaxy store. I fear it will override the S-Note I have, and take away action notes.

Samsung MIGHT be listening... this is a snip of the response I got on the trashing review I wrote on Samsung Note on the Play Store.
We are carefully reviewing for supporting Action Memo next version. However, For those who want to keep using S Note, it can be downloaded via Google Play Store.

Of course they don't mention that all the updates to S-note take away the action memo. So one hand is carefully reviewing it, and the other hand takes it more, and more away.

From the comments in the Google Play Store Samsung is telling people to download S Note there if they still want to have things like Action Memo, so I don't think they will take that away. They need to add that function into the new Samsung Note. Crazy that they took it away.
Edit: In fact I got a response from Samsung about this just now. They are looking into support for Action memo in the next release. So there is some hope.

Problem is, they turned off comparability with the s note for the note 7. So that isn't a solution.
I tried to download S-Note from the app store but it said my device was incompatible and I couldn't Install. I used the above link from jovy23. Thank you, thank you. Don't understand why Samsung would get rid of one of the Note's greatest features.
Downloaded and installed but I still don't see action memo. What am I missing?

There are some apps in the Play Store that I would like to use on my Note. Unfortunately they have restrictions like screen res. and physical screen size. One such app requires a screen size of at least 8.9", but the resolution requirement is the same as our Note.
Is there anyway to "fake" it so I can get the app?

Unfortunately, 1 doesn't mean anything to me. I'm newish to Android. I had a tablet briefly (had to return it) and in that time purchased the app I'm talking about, but because I don't have that app, I don't really have a way to get the app on the Note.
When I had the tablet, I was able to side load it onto another device. But as I said, I don't have the tablet, so I'm looking for an alternative method. I've been considering Rooting and flashing ICS anyways. But if this app doesn't work, I might not bother. Or rather, if I have no way to "get" the app.
Thanks though. I do appreciate the response because it continues the searching and thinking process for me.
What is this mystery app? I am running tablet mode on my note (213 dpi on CM9) and would be more than happy to see if it comes up as available for install. Have you also tried going to the market through a web browser and seeing what it says?

Haha. No real mystery I guess, but I wasn't sure what would get discussed here or if it might be against policy. The app is Adobe Ideas which was updated to 1.5.1 and works with the upcoming gNote 10.1. So, I was curious if it shows up with a rooted and ICS'd gNote 5.3 with the proper "dpi" as you put it. After that, it's a matter of figuring out with the pressure sensitivity works with the app.
When I visit the store through the web browser it says it's only compatible with the tablet I returned. I haven't rooted and ICS'd my Note yet. If this app works though, it would push me over the edge to do it.
It won't come up in the market thru app on my note. Through browser says compatible with some of my devices. Without hitting the purchase button I am going to wager a guess that it is compatible with my Transformer but not my Note.

Well, that's a bummer that it doesn't show up. But that doesn't mean it doesn't work.
So changing dpi is generally what you would do to make tablet apps show up? So back to the original question. Is there a way to get around this app not showing up in the store?
Since the first day I got my phone my stock browser has talked. It's says "loading page" and "page loaded" and tells you when you press on anything. I don't have any of the talk back stuff on or any of the gesture stuff. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it. I have been using chrome in the mean time. Thanks in advance!

I can tell you from personal experience that the only fix for this for me was to exchange it for a new one. (Or you could delete SecBrowser if rooted). Oh, man that was annoying! Returned it, got a new one, no problems with "the talking browser" since.

Do you have any folders on your home screen? If so open one of them.. If not make one and open it. . I bet it talks.. folder open folder closed. .
Nothing talks except for the browser. That's why I posted this thread. Just weird that none of the gestures or extra features are enabled but I get talking in the stock browser.
Scribbled From My Note 3
Did you try a folder.. There was in the note 2 and other Samsung devices (i think including the s4l a bug with the accessability where only the browser changing home screens and opening and closing folders would talk when they were not suppose to.
It usually pops up when some programs are installed that need some part of accessability to run. . I know some program that controls the flashing light is one but there are others.
I have plenty of folders and have switched home screens a few hundred times since I got the phone. Nothing talks except the browser.

I did the same (used Chrome) but I figured, hell, I paid for it so I should be able to use it. But nothing was outta place. Went in to accessibility and unchecked everything. Debugged the browser and found nothing outta place there either. The only option I could think of was to replace it. Or maybe flashing the stock tar might clear it up.

I just tested it here and it does no longer do it on folders or home screen but it does do it on stock browser. Do you have my fitness pal or light flow installed. .
Do you have any apps listed under settings device access ability under the section called services. .
Nope nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing that messes with accessibility.

Actually I have a Pebble and that could be messing with the accessibility features....
Scribbled From My Note 3
It has nothing to do with accessibility it just uses some of the routines or something. . It is not going to be something out if the ordinary..

Really?!?! I didn't waste your time cherylbaker. Everything you asked me to try I tried and it didn't help. There is nothing more I can do besides not use the stock browser. I'm sorry that you don't like that answer, but it's the only choice I have. I was looking for a solution from someone who had the same experience but the only person with the same issue exchanged his unit for a new one.
Scribbled From My Note 3
You have installed something that uses accessibility sevices. If you look under settings, accessibility, services you will see "talk back". Anything besides talk back is something you installed. Unfortunately this is a bug so if you would like to keep those apps working correctly just use another browser. The apps that I have installed that cause the issue are Pebble watch app and talking caller id. Those services need access to all my apps the reason they are listed in accessibility. So I just use other browsers.

First off, the new CM for the T-Mobile note 4 developed by Slayher is simply awesome. Lollipop, stable, good battery life, and wicked fast.
It does not run gear manager however so I found a decent workaround.
First, I used an S4 I have for a spare to run gear manager, and paired the watch to it. This phone has no Sim in it, so it's strictly to stay at my house on the Wi-Fi. I setup gmail, Viber, calendar, and a few other items I like to see on the watch.
I then was trying to figure out how to get SMS and call notifications from my note 4 when I remembered an excellent app: PushBullet.
For those who don't know, pushbullet accesses your notifications and pushes them across devices and chrome on your PC. Now, there is an experimental feature which syncs notifications across all devices! Once I set it all up, I added the notifications from pushbullet to gear manager and Voila- I can see SMS and incoming calls (although I cant answer). Not a bad compromise.
In essence, the only functionality that's missing is answering phone calls and replying to SMS.
Haa haa haa. . . bit like a car with the only functionality missing being the wheels and the engine!

seeing as i don't typically answer calls on my watch but do like to be notified of them, it's basically enough functionality that I don't miss TouchWiz too much.
pretty much the same with SMS... I don't typically answer from my watch but I like reading them. I didn't specify that I can forward calls to the watch if I want to leave the phone behind- it does have a SIM in it and it's own number.
Your opinion may vary from mine on what the core functionality of the Gear S would be, and that's alright. CM12 is just starting to become a great daily driver for the Note 4 and unless Samsung makes a GREAT lollipop ROM, I'm sticking with it for a while.

yea the touchwiz lollipop ROMs like that one can run it no problem, but CM has something missing that's needed. HostManager FC's when pairing and nobody's gotten any further than that.
I see over in the International N4 forum that TW Lollipop leaked for the Chinese variant, so maybe it's getting closer.
That said, I'll still be torn between how amazingly well CM12 is running and reverting to TW. Getting gear manager back would be great though.

If you leave your phone at home you can just use your carrier's call forwarding to forward calls to your watch. I have AT&T and I can just dial **21*Watch's Number# and it will forward calls to my watch. I don't like the auto call forward because it doesn't work sometimes.

Open the camera app - swipe to the right - there's an option for dual camera. This allows you to take a photo of what's in front of you and behind you at the same time. It overlays the photo (selfie) onto the picture you just took from the rear camera. Well when I hit this option on my phone it says the camera has failed. I looked in the Galaxy App Store to see if it needs an update, and it is nowhere to be found.
Anybody else have this issue or know a fix?

Only 3 options exist and dual camera isn't one of them.
According to Sammobile, Samsung is sending out an OTA update that addresses some things about the camera and about wireless charging. Hoping the update includes the missing camera modes.

In my case, the action memo always freeze on top of the screen. I need to restart the phone to remove the freeze app.
Any suggestion to make it work?
You can just download it from galaxy app store. I mean the s note.

The version on play store is not compatible with note fe.
I know, and I did, but no action memo menu...
@motfis I have been trying to do the same, get action memo into my Note FE, but so far none of the Snote apks worked for me.
Have you had any luck on this?

As I said earlier in the OP, I don't have a working action memo & I am looking if anyone have solution for this problem. The s note itself is working OK, I think it is still inferior than the s note in note 3/4.
My guess is Samsung somehow block the action memo in note fe, because the same apk is working in note 5/8.
