Rooting is very simple.. if i remember well.. you have to use king root...
for the TWRP.. NOPE... no custom recovery for this smartphone
(just made a TWRP on Feb 2017 i will post it on needrom)

kingroot work successfully. after that search on xda remove kinguser by super su or follow this link : https://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/general/how-to-remove-replace-kingroot-kinguser-t3308989

As Davy Bartoloni said, there is indeed a Twrp avalaible for this phone in needrom. I don´t know how needrom works but judging by the comments it seems that the recovery works well with wiko highway pure 4g.
However, it seems that you need to make an account to donwload it. (I have never been to needrom before). This might be very useful for this phone since it never had a lot of development

If I have the bootloader of wiko highway pure unlocked and I flash this twrp without root, will I be able to flash magisk to get root access like normal?
Also, I´m very glad that this phone is finally getting development, I thought that when i bought this phone i was done for lmao.
Anyways, if I can root like normal just flashing magisk through twrp i can try this recovery

Hi. you got a 6.1.6 rom , gapps and root included at needrom.com ( some chinese crap).
What rom do you have?? is it 8GB or 4GB version? I would really thank you if you have european rom and you can share it.
For deodexing, an easy way is downloading androidtweaker2 from playstore. It´s got a deodexing tool.

Hi, I have the 8gig(6gig usable) version, my phone was working nicely, rooted, removed unnecassary stuff etc.
Unfortunately i couldnt find a CWM for the phone so i experimented with fastboot and accidently flashed a init.d tweak to system, which wiped my rom
Was forced to flash the chinese crap.

Not customs roms as long as I know.
At forum.china-iphone.ru there´s a threat about this phone with a tutorial to install CWM. (didnt try yet, dont know if it works properly).

There is no custom roms available at the moment, towelroot works good in rooting your phone. I accidentally wiped my phone and flashed the chinese rom W969.6.1.6 and my main camera is not working anymore, the rom also contained malware (funweather) that was a struggle to delete. My phone was bought in South Africa I havent gone back to the shop to go check what version software the phone is suppose to run, but there is not much available online.
My advice dont go further than rooting your phone. It will be appreciated if you can backup and share your rom.:good:

can you tell me the exact steps i have to do to backup my ROM ? I need to use an app or I can do all by connecting the mobile to the computer?
I want a backup of my rom also to be sure to be able to come back at the original status.
I think that to have a perfect backup of my rom i need first to do a factory data reset.
Than what i have to do ???? I'm sorry but i need a basic guide... can I ask also you what you have uninstalled after rooted the phone?
Anyway my phone kernel version is 3.4.0 and the software version is W1002.6.03.00.EU00 and my total space is 6.11 GB
To root i go to website towelroot... and only install the apk and nothing else, right?

Looking at your build number, that is probably what my phone was running, I use to have a samsung phone and support was readily available hence I never bothered to backup a rom. I will find out how to do it practice on my phone and get back to you.

i took some information and should be not so complicated... I mean... I have to root the phone with "Towelroot" or "Root genius" both should work but which one is better? ...and after that I need only to install a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP) and do the backup of the original system image. But this is the problem... which custom recovery i can install for the hisense U971 ???

Towelroot was the easiest you just install the app then open it and press the make it ra1n button, then your phone will be rooted.
I havent come accross a CWM or TWRP for the u971 yet

Did you manage to backup your rom. try adb backup.

Towelroot not work, kingoroot not work, framaroot not work. I can not do root and original rom is full of malware. What application can I still use it? Anyway my phone kernel version is 3.4.0 and the software version is W969.6.01.06.00 version 4GB.

For rooting you can use Kingroot Latest 5.0 it works ! i used it on my oppo a37f and there is no solution for a twrp for oppo a37f yet because it doesn't have fastboot

Yeah both have ColorOS 3.0(so no fastboot binarys).... PLEASE inform me as soon as you succeed at making your recovery ....
I tried to port from Xiaomi Redimi 2 which is very similar to Oppo a37f but in the end that twrp didn't boot up.....
The first thing is to unlock bootloader, which you can try to make files like in this article HERE
(referring to Magictricks by uberlaggydarwin)
Then we'll have to install custom recovery and then make a custom rom to get full fastboot option and completely unlocked..!!!

Try porting cwm or twrp using CARLIVs MTK recovery port tool then after flash chainfires SuperSU.zip...

Friend, i have installed and tested both the recoveries one by one which you provided. But after installation when i switch on my phone for the recovery boot it boots to normal phone on twrp does not start.

Can you upload the stock boot.img you used along with the stock recovery.img and TWRP recovery.img?
I will make you a pre rooted boot.img and modified recovery of TWRP- (it's possible the touchscreen wont work in twrp)
but an OTG cable and mouse is supported Alternatively I can make a modified Philz recovery.img?
Let me know if you can do this or link the files on google drive- it should only take a second to complete,

Man i have the sa me problem i search and reset my tablet like 10 times / day for test all xD!
I give you the files but i think its not possible all poeple said we cant use twrp with MT6580!

My tablette is Archos 70 Platinum 3G!

That's a new bootloader ROM...Maybe you tried installing twrp designed for the old bootloader....I think that's why your phone reboots

That's impossible.
You can't flash Oreo with 2.8 recovery.
If you did, the phone is like "bricked" and you have to use the mega unbrick guide.
Before, you can try to reflash OOS 2.2.3 or 3.1.4 to see what happen but little chance it boots again...

Cant find files in twrp
			
			
			
				
Hi guys,
I installed the twrp 3.1.1 from OpenKirin but when i boot into it i cant find a single file i moved in the root.
Is there an option or anything i messed up? i also cant install SuperSU even from an external SD Card
And ofc the normal System update fails too but now i cant install a custom ROM or anything else.
Hope you can help me

I recommend you put stock recovery and wait for the new TWRP to be released soon.

BOOTLOADER LOCKED. I wonder how did you install TWRP if the bootloader is locked?
