Low Volume over all CM13 clean with Gapps - Honor 5X Questions & Answers

Hello Everyone !
so i have found the over all volume of this phone to be low making it hard for me to hear. I have used Samsung Sound Adept to better deal with my hear loss. I wanted to know if there is any way to boost the over all volume of the phone. Thanks

Headphone volume

I don't have the phone yet but I've seen people saying that the headphone volume is a bit quiet.
Obviously "quiet" is a personal thing, but if it is quiet (to me), is there a way to make it louder? Music (and satnav) are the two most important things to me.
Sorry if this is a silly question. I'm an Android noob.
If to mean apart from turning the volume up no, though I've found it to loud to listen to comfortably on full volume and I'm 18 not some old guy haha hope that helps

Not quite true......
If you root then you can use dps manager to pump up the volume (Though it is debatable weather or not this compromises on quality).
You could also use the EQ settings in Power AMP to do a the same sort of thing...
I have installed volume+ by Meltus. It also has some eq and bass boost settings too. You can download it from here and doesnt require root. I also use poweramp. I found the biggest gains on the speaker and bluetooth. Be careful with max boost and volume in speaker mode as I got my speaker to pop and stop working for a few seconds but luckily wasnt damaged.

A recent post mentioned the secret code to raise basic volume level .

the title of the thread was called "volume codes". it seemed to have the real deal code fixes, but some said it worked while others said it didnt, so i'm totally confused.
for the people with low volume thru headphones, is this only with the stock headset? or has anyone tried a higher quality headset and sill have low volume?

[Q] how to increase speaker phone volume

i use the speaker phone a lot, and although people can hear me well, i have some difficulty hearing them back when im in my car or a mall.
it seems the speaker phone volume is quite low and i have already maxxed out the volume settings and installed volume plus (+3, good quality). with volume plus my devices overall volume is much louder and clearer but my volume levels for the speaker phone, although a little improved, is still too low for my liking.
is there any way to correct this.

Volume + software. Search for it in XDA.

But saved settings will be restored to default as soon as you reboot the device.

It's not my intention to be offensive here, but have you tried cleaning your ears recently?
It's amazing how dirty can really get an ear if don't clean it regularly and I'm not talking about Q-Tips, I mean really clean it by visiting the doctor who can literally vacuum that s**t out from you.
You won't believe your hearing capabilities after that! You'll feel like superman!
Regards!

hahaha thanks for your suggestion, it may have done wonders for you in the past, but no dirty ears are not my problem.

i think the correct code is *#*#197328640#*#*
i did reply on that thread that the succeeding menu entries were confusing and i was asking for some help on what options to choose for specifically increasing speaker phone volume.
iirc, you were also asking for the same, but for headset settings.

[Q] Low volume

Is anyone else annoyed about how quiet the volume is with headphones plugged in? I'm not using the official ones that came with it, but my own IEMs.
It's so quiet that on a Tube I can hear way too much external noise. For a multimedia device, this is making me unhappy!
My bootloader is locked so I can't root. Does anyone have any other suggestions or should I just get my portable amp back out?!
Thanks!
Did you already try all the sound enhancements in the settings???
Sound enhancements don't help much. Try the "normalize" option.
All other "enhancements" just lead to dynamic loss, to "pumping" sound and loss of audio details. Bad choices.
Tweaks like the ones done using "PowerAmp" do NOT work, just cause distortion.
By the way: I HATE the low volume, too. It's just annoying.
Yeah, the sound enhancements don't really do that, even normalize seems to be a bit hit and miss (sometimes i switch between it and volume goes up, other times down!)
It sounds like there's way too much processing of the sound going on. I know the noise cancelling function is software based so wonder if this is getting in the way, as it were? I can find no way to turn it off though.
So without root, it's unlikely to find a solution?
Shame.

Have any of you found a solution to this problem? I have Bose head phones, of very good quality, and the volume when using them is low. The volume control in the Settings in the Z2 tablete only increases volume until half way through the available movement of the control, and when moved further to the right it won't increase volume at all.
The actual volume through the built in speakers is loud enough.
On my IPad 3 the volume is much louder with head phones.

[Q] Looking for working volume boost (CM11 m9 Nexus 7 2012)

It seems like every new version of Android, my volume gets lower, and my options for boosting the volume get fewer. Even my bluetooth headphones, which were originally absurdly loud, are now too quiet to be heard in many situations. I can't even use the thing for media anymore, which is the whole reason I got the thing. Does anyone know of a working method for boosting the volume on CM11 (4.4.4 kitkat)? I've searched high and low, and have come up with nothing but dead ends. Thank you.

How to Increase earpiece volume on Xperia Z2 (D6503)

Hi,
I'm new to this forum and a n00b, so please be gentle
I have an old Xperia Z2 which I bought in 2014. The phone is fantastic, and in complete working condition till now. I recently updated it to Marshmallow as well and it works without a hitch (in comparison to my daily driver - Galaxy Note 4 which went really sluggish with Marshmallow). However, I have a strange problem which I'm unable to rectify. The earpiece volume on the phone has gone really low. This problem popped up sometime last October (even while on Lollipop), and I didn't worry too much about it as I had my Note 4 as a daily driver. But I'm now using 2 SIMs, so I need this phone to work.
The sound from the earpiece has become extremely low, and it is impossible to hear the other person when outside even with low traffic noises. I've tried tinkering with all settings/methods available, shutting off the noise cancelling mic, trying to clean the earpiece grille, performing a hard reset, but nothing helped. However, the volume is fine when playing audio through the speakers (I'm not sure through, I assume that the earpiece doubles up as a speaker - I may be wrong). Everything is fine with wired/wireless earphones though.
Is there a way I can tweak anything to make this better - I mean, all I want is the earpiece volume to be loud enough to be usable. The phone has been out of warranty for a long time, so I'm fine with rooting it. However, I'm a n00b (as already mentioned), and I need some guidance on how to do it. Also, I'm a bit wary of taking it to service, as firstly the phone is out of warranty and repair would cost a bomb surely, and secondly - I don't want to mess up the water resistance (not that I dunk it in water, but it's a nice to have feature).
Can anyone please help me out with this? Also, does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks
if you are rooted and have a working recovery try this audio mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...-dontbelive-marshmallow-stereomod-v1-t3366065. It increases the speaker and earphone volume and i am using this mod on my z2 this is great.

Not that kind of advanced n00b. Yup I did, the earpiece is at highest volume.
