I have Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro running MIUI Global 7.3.7.0 Stable (LHOMIDD). When I compose email message and wish to attach a file stored on Google Drive there is not option to attach from Google Drive. There is just no Google Drive in the list of the places from which it is possible to enclose files to emails. It seems that Xiaomi allows to attach files only from the phone internal memory but not from Google Drive. I tried stock email application and one more from Play Store and both "do not see" Google Drive. Is anybody else having such an issue? Is that possible to fix it?
Just to advise what I found out. Google application "Documents" is by default disabled in Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. Due to lack of this application it is impossible to attach files from Google Drive. So it is necessary to enable "Documents" in settings and it will then be possible to attach files from Google Drive. However if you reboot Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro "Documents" will again be disabled and it will be necessary to enable it again manually.
The Solid Explorer file manager can connect to google drive, and other cloud services as well, and can be used to pick attachments in email apps.

Hi all,
I just playing around this awesome apps "Dropbox" installed from the Market.
It work very good in syncing your apps, pics, videos, files and other kind of data.
Steps:
1) Install dropbox applications in your PC and run it. You will required to create new user name and password for logging in. For free user you would get 2GB space. But space will increase if you invite others to joint dropbox.
2) In your phone, install dropbox.apk from the market and run it. Using the same user name and password you created earlier to login. You would see exactly the same folders listed in your phone dropbox app as in your PC.
3) Now everything you drop files into this drop box will be available across your sync dropbox. If you have two or three PC or three phones which all of them having dropbox installed. The same files will be available across each other.
4) You can share a folder to your friends around so every one of your friend would get what you wanted to shared with like music,apps,pics..etc..
Conclusion: You would litterally save phone memory space by having your files in dropbox. But you need internet access to access these files.
Check out here : www.dropbox.com to start download the PC dropbox.exe
And here for andriod market: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.dropbox.android&feature=search_result
Let me know anyone of you would like to share folder with me. Email address is the only required to start sharing.
You could also use Dropbox for Titanium Backup Pro - save everything to the cloud, so you don't depend on the physical memory.
Also, you can set your torrent client to watch a certain folder on your computer, and sync that folder with Dropbox. Thus, if you add a torrent there (by phone even), and if your computer is on, the download will start automatically.
Hello all,
I have bought Media pad x1 501-u, unfortunately I updated it to Kitkat from there website, then my mobile turned into chinese and no google firmwork so I cant even sync my gmail contacts using gmail, I cant update my programs using playstore. and what is worse is that there is no arabic!! its my native language and I need help! PS: my mobile is not rooted.
what is the best solution??
501U is natively a chinese device = was never meant to be sold outside China.
Standard procedure with Huawei:
Download the ROM (Either from Huawei or EMUI), unzip and copy the dload folder onto the root directory of an SD Card of at least 2GB formatted in FAT32.
Power off the X1, insert card, power on also holding volume up (if not successful hold volume up&down). You know you did it right when mister droid shows up.
Screen may blank for long periods!!
When it reboots after showing update success, remove the SD card, or it will do it again.
To get google back you will have to download several apps from the Huawei store which is available on tge homescreen. Please refer to the thread "not synching Google contacts".

Hi,
Apart from the update.app file, you also have to download the attached file (only 9xx bytes) in the below post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56436713&postcount=6
extract it to your root microsd card, then put the "update.app" file in the dload folder; reboot your x1 or make local update (have to manually choose the file from external sd card). After successfully upgrading, don't forget to remove your microsd card and plug to your PC to delete the update files.
Once you successfully upgrade it to this kitkat, you will not have any goggle app/framework. You have to go to Huawei App Center. search for and download Google Play and Google Play service. Then, in the same Huawei App Center, search by typing "google", you will see a large google banner on the top of the search result, tap it and you'll see a lot of google stuff. At least you have to download google sync (look at calendar icon) and another google sync (look at contact icon). Once downloaded, you will be able to sync your google contact and calendar back. You can then download other google apps from Google Playstore.

Its working but its chinese, how can i choose another language. I am lost
when you first reboot after upgrade, the first screen with Chinese, you can actually scroll the middle part of the screen, it should have English option.
So I know how to create a custom map using TomTom's MyDrive program on the computer, and I know how to upload that custom "map" (with desired route) to my Google Maps account on the computer, and I know how to open the map/route file on my phone, but how do I force Google Maps to navigate based on that exact route? It appears to only show the route as an overlay, not as a desired route. Is it possible to force Google Maps to navigate based on the route I want to take created in the GPX file?
Thanks!
Dear LifeAsADroid, this post is donkeys, so replying is likely futile, but still. I was wondering whether you solved your problem. Unsurprisingly, I have the same and could not find a solution (other than folks saying that it doesn't work).
Before I begin, what I'm trying to accomplish mainly, is to locate the folder(s) that an app called Food Fantasy installs when you download directly from Google Play, in order to rename the folder for a modded version to allow to connect to Google Play Games or Facebook. I had seen tutorials for that for other games, such as Last Day on Earth: Survivor, but I even tried downloading the game myself for comparison, and while its folder is accessible by PC, Food Fantasy's is not (except for with the mod I have).
That said, if someone can still help me with this, then I would be glad to provide such supplementary instructions for someone else's in a video I am planning personally.
For this past day and a half, I have just been trying to root my phone (a Redmi Note 5), but there is one part where I am stuck. My phone was already unlocked when I received it, and I managed to make my way up through step B-11. However, then my phone asks for some kind of password in order to decrypt the information in question, but while someone online specifies this as the password you yourself install, I tried to install one, and it didn't work.
Quora: How do I root a Redmi Note 5 and a Redmi Note 5 Pro
(See Tushar Jain's instructions.)
So, I tap "Cancel," and then "Install". I have seen instructional videos in which the phone displays the following folders, which I myself am able to access in a folder called "Internal shared storage" through my PC, under "sdcard", but those don't appear there for me:
-Alarms
-Android
-backup
-browser
-DCIM
-Download
-MIUI
-Movies
-Music
-Notifications
-Pictures
-Podcasts
-Ringtones
Meanwhile, sdcard shares a directory with the following folders, which I cannot access through my PC, which prevents me from transferring files from PC to phone anywhere I'd be able to find them:
-acct
-cache
-config
-cust
-data
-dev
-etc
-external_sd
-firmware
-license
Does anyone know of some way to restore the Downloads folder back under sdcard in TWRP, or what kind of password I'm supposed to enter in case I previously created the wrong kind?
To fix this you have to wipe data partition. And install no encrypt zip file so that it doesn't ask you for password.
You can find file online. Sorry I'm lazy

Do you mean no-verity-opt-encrypt?
I want to bypass Facebook messenger screenshot detection. Therefore I have to:
-change my screenshot directory from /storage/emulated/0/Pictures/Screenshots to something else like /storage/emulated/0/Pictures/Screensnaps so that messegner can't detect them.
OR
-Stop messenger from calling android file observer
OR
-revoke the access to this specific directory.
I'm on Pixel Experience 10 Plus, rooted with Magisk, Device: OnePlus 7 Pro. If you need any further detailes let me know: [email protected].
Thanks in advance
P. S. I already tried revoking the app permission to phone's internal storage. It caused the app not to detect screenshots, but it also flagged it as android secure app (that means no screenshots at all) and I couldn't send any photos/videos to my friends.
