In this OTA update, most users' "Black Screen" issue during installation with the Setup Wizard has been fixed.

Thank you for always be aware ... when they go to solve two problems I have and I think a lot happens , problems still with the wifi disconnects all the time and often touches me reinstall remix from scratch because when I go to start telling me not find the menu.lst

its not just the 3rd party installer that will deny u the OTAs, even modified ramdisk.img,initrd.img and system.sfs will keep u away from the OTAs!

i reinstalled my remix version with installer... i install news full install in ssd format in ext4 but i have this message in fresh install
Impossible to update from 104 to 202 using "system Update"
I installed Remix OS for PC 104 in VB when open "system Update" it shows "Latest verson: 201" (see screenshiot) NOT 202. How come?
How couild i updated to 202, need help, thx!

yes i use it to create backups, but its not necessary to destroy ur data folder/image if reinstalling, just keep it, it should be compatile with this update too, mine was!

Can't update from 201 to 202 using "system Update" this OS installed in a bootable USB flash drive.
After running "check" with both "stable version" and " Test Version" options, it still shows "current version is 201" ( don't know how to take screenshot) no 202 is shown up and downloaded. Need help, thanks!

@losl1946 OTA updates for some people come with a delay - sometimes few days and that's probably it.
No 3.0.202 OTA here too...i'm from 3.0.201

I had this problem with previous versions.
With 3.0.202 I still have the same problem, but the behavior is some different:
-In previous versions I had a "black screen" during first boot and I had to hold power button for the laptop to reboot to Windows.
-With 3.0.202 after one minute in "black screen" the laptop reboots itself to the boot menu.
Anyway, Remix OS doesn't boot.
My laptop is a ASUS Transformer Book T100HA with Windows 10 64bits.
nice work devs but i think adding huawei 3G dongles drivers will be in 2020 or may be never ...
No OTA update yet.. patiently waiting

I tried to install the new version from scratch and have not had success after installation. Apparently the installer did not create the boot entry to start.
Does anyone have any suggestions to solve this problem?
Tested on my brand new HP Pavilion X2 10, UTTERLY SMOOTH!
My SoC CPU/GPU is a quad-core Intel Atom X5 Z8300. @ 1.4Ghz, (1.8 with turbo) with 2GB RAM.
The system is running PERFECTLY from a 32GB Samsung Ultra-Thin USB 3.0 Drive .
The only bug i found so far is the audio not working, and some random, but minor, system-lag.
Played GTA: SA on max resolution, 30FPS.
Really amazing.
Also, Tested on my Asus eeePC 1215N, cannot boot anymore (from HDD installation).
Previous version was stable, but Nvidia ION2 GPU wans't working, and CPU was running only on a single Core.

Im having the exact same issue I started a fresh install reformatted the usb drive I use for all my installs, and its like it doesn't install at all I have tried hard disk install as well with exact same result. Im trying to install the (release_Remix_OS_for_PC_32bit_B2016063002) which I just downloaded today in fact I downloaded it twice thinking I may have gotten a corrupt file, have you found a way to correct this issue ? If so please post here would be appreciated ty

I'm downloading again the old version (2.0.205) that was previously installed to upgrade on top of it using the internal updater. Probably this will solve the problem.
Soon I'll let you know if it worked.

Ok this is what i just did, and it worked , I reinstalled the 205 and started it up on my tablet, make sure all was initialized and working etc., then shut down plugged the usb drive into my pc then installed the 402 over it answering no to over write data then no to all else it asked, then when completed I stick into tablet and at first seems like it don't wanna work I click enter and wait and bam it works loaded fine wifi fine google play installs works fine, only issue I had was that I have no sound, my windows tab is the Acer one 10 so its the realtek audio driver issue not being supported . I thought maybe with this release that would be sorted out but it was not, I also notice I can not access my windows drive or sd card anymore for storage of music videos etc. So basically Im going back to the 205 , and trying to find a solution for the sound issue , No idea if this helped or not, there is probably a better solution but this worked for me
I installed this version on my Samsung Tabpro S. The touchscreen works now, but the WiFi still isn't working. Does anyone have any idea how to get it working (do i need to install a driver? if so how?) The wireless adapter is a Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4a.

I just get audio with my subwoofer using audio cable. Not a big deal :v
Don't think current stuff is useless... they're working really hard, we must be patient since this is totally free
I downloaded the whole .104 package again, because the OTA was not offered to me and made a full and clean install, still got the plaz store error...

Update:
it works now for me.
You have to add a line in Grub (if you use Remix alongside any Linux):
At the Grub boot screen, select Remix OS.
Press "e".
Add the line "quiet SERIAL=random after "...selinux=permissive".
Press F10 and reboot. You should now add your Account in the play store.
I have a Samsung ATIV 500T Windows Tablet PC, with detachable keyboard (BIOS=UEFI, 32-bit)
Initially i just setup Remix os 3.0 for pc, on a separate partition, upon its installation,
It overwrite Windows Boot Manager with GNU Grub v2.0, which basically messed up my tablet pc, as Windows 10 option, was nowhere to be seen.
and Remix OS setup's language page did not register clicks from my keyboard.
So i had to format my harddrive, to install Windows 10 again, & lost important files.
I found this guide:

which supposedly lists Remix OS 2.0, as a 2nd choice within "windows boot manager", without overwriting it with Grub v2.
So Kindly provide a similar easy guide, for installing Remix OS 3.0 on my Tablet PC, which hopefully works, without messing up Windows 10 installation on my tablet PC & also tell me, how can i make Remix OS recognize the Drivers of my Samsung Tablet PC hardware. (I have saved all driver files in a folder)

wifi is not working
I think 3.0.104 version is really good in performance. at first boot, everything is normal, but after activated Google Play Service and reboot, my wifi suddenly didn't work. I have tried to reboot to windows and back to remix, but no use. The v2.0.202 is the best version to me, although the performance is worse than v3.0.104. Anyone know how to fix it? Thank you.

Whie this is the first time i'm able to actually configure a Google Account and everything seems to work
Suddenly it stopped letting me download, always giving md the DF 15 error, and no matter how many times I deleted and added my account, it still won't let me download anything.
Also, I can now finally type in Hebrew, but the Ctrl-Spacebar to switch between languages is not working.

when i got the DF-15 error on google, i wiped data/cache of :
Play store
Google Framework
Google Play services
......and it worked!!!i cud download.
if it dont work repeat the process and reboot, then test if its downloading!

are u using system.sfs(unmodified stock) and stock ramdisk.img?
...and when u say cant update: does it allow u to download the update and fail to install it or it does neither?

my system updated to 3.0.104 via OTA, only maybe 10 hrs after it was anounced there was an update and *iso downloads available on www.remixos.com

hello...yes the wifi is an issue and has being for since 3.0.102....but i just tested the games u mention here and all are palying well on my 3.0.104..no lags at all and its worth mentioning that the GAME TOOLKIT in 3.0.104 is working well with swypes,wheel controll is perfect,just missing "simple single key swype function" as need in many games, like NFS MW to activate nitruos...a lot of games/actually all of them including pokemon GO are very easily and smoothly playable!
AS for as gametool kit is concerned its 90% perfect, and wifi issues keep mounting up!
This needs focus obviously!

It only works for me on first boot. Everything ok. After reboot it begins bootloop on logo startup. Than I have to reinstall and it works again, but if I reboot it won't boot up again.
It's installed on a ext4 partition with system read write. If system not reed write (with system.sfs) this won't happen but I cannot update su binary
The king is dead, long live the king! invisiblek has brought us the first builds of Lineage OS to the HP TouchPad. Lineage OS replaces the now defunct CyanogenMod, CM14.1 with Lineage14.1 running Android 7.1.x. .
Main issues:
Update: A new build is available here by jshafer817. This build fixes the previously mentioned problems and can be clean installed.
The AOSP keyboard crashes at boot, you can mute it and install the Google keyboard from an apk here. Edit: I've now added the Google Keyboard to the recommended default build of 20170112 here. In later builds you won't be able to login to the Play Store... So Install the 20170112 build login to the Google Play store and then you can dirty flash to the latest build and run it without issues. Try it out and post about your results. Big thanks to Invisiblek for his continued HP TouchPad support.

Troubleshooting
The problem:
When attempting to login to the Google Play store you get a white screen that you cannot get past.
The solution:
-To fix the problem download and flash this older build here lineage-14.1-20170112-UNOFFICIAL-tenderloin.zip
-Once complete install the google keyboard here and login to the Play store, install any updates.
-Next download the latest Lineage 14.1 rom here and dirty flash it over the older build.
-Now that you're already logged into the play store it will continue to work fine with the newer builds.

If the Android keyboard fc's on you during initialization, skip all the initialization that requires it. After you get to the home screen, go to Settings=>Language and Input=>Current Keyboard. Click on it and set the keyboard to the Google keyboard. You can then go back and setup the missing items.

I've got detailed info on both roms in my rom guide, second post in my install guide here. Evervolv is more evolved at this time but both are coming along well. I've had some problems pairing devices with the Bluetooth in Lineage 14.1 , the camera doesn't work. I still need to test the latest builds and see if the AOSP keyboard bug is fixed.
Thanks for these awesome guides, and for posting this ROM. After following your instructions, I'm running the 1/13 build, and I'm very happy with it. Will this tablet ever die????
Edit: With the 1/13 build, YouTube and Kindle would take a long time to load, and audio and video seemed to be out of sync. But I just dirty flashed the 1/15 build, and these issues seem to have been addressed.

I use TWRP 3.0.3.0 by Flitman and works perfectly
Are you trying to install TWRP using the toolbox?

I do not know if this is the way this Rom is designed, but the File manager cannot see the FAT32 partition that usually gets mounted as USB media.
And we know, camera does not work.

Please follow the instructional guides provided below. You've confused your files, Filntmans TWRP cannot be install with the TPtoolbox.

I'll test that out and check back, I'm also pretty new to Lineage not sure about the sounds settings. Did you try using a rooted file manager like ES file explorer or X-plore could be a permissions issue.
Edit: Settings/Sound menu worked fine with the latest lineage-14.1-20170123 build

Using Root Explorer, I can verify that the, what I have taken to calling the 'ttinstall' partition, is not accessible in Lineage.
It also wasn't accessible in the previous INV ROM.
My partition is ~6GB and is 'vfat'
I can't remember how to mount it when Lineage is booted...

The USB media partition has never work from the Invisiblek Roms that I have installed and the same applies to LineageOs.
One a very positive side the stand by mode or ( deep sleep ) is extremely energy efficient. It stays 100 % charge since I installed it yesterday.

Sounds did work on the first release of Lineage, but something happen that it got broke.
Is not an issue of having root access. This is a FAT32 partition that Android sees as a USB media.

thanks for a great guide! All good except when I try and skip thru the setup with the keyboard crashing. I get so far, then a white screen after "checking info" and I can go no further! I can only lock & hold to restart. Restarted a few times but end up in the same spot. Cant pull down the settings menu to do the keyb fix.
Pretty sure I followed the guide to the letter, I got a 16gb wifi.
HELP!

Hey sorry to hear you're having problem with the Lineage 14.1 build, why not try installing the recommended Evervolv build. It doesn't have the keyboard issues but the clock app may need replacing.

Ahh think I fudged thru it!
Was behaving like this coz I enabled wifi from the 1st install of KK. "forgot" my connection, then it went thru.
I could then enable dev and install google keyboard
Seems that Trebuchet is crashing a lot too
only thing now is I have no apps. tried gapps again open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20170125 and still no apps until I tapped the screen as somehow the widget tips were in background and needed to be got rid of!
camera not working either..
try launching google play store and get that white screen again!
Think I may have to try Evervolv there Roland thanks. Can I just wipe and do direct install with twrp?

If you've already increased the size of the system partition with the TPtoolbox you should be able to clean install through TWRP. However it sounds like you will need to redownload the gapps package and delete the old one, no apps or play store indicates a problem with the gapps. The Camera just doesn't work in the Lineage builds yet, neither does bluetooth. These builds do run fine once you fix the keyboards(for early unofficial builds) but they aren't as fully functional as the Evervolv builds at this time and need a few more fixes.

So to continue from the other thread.
Seems large apps can't be moved, while small apps can.
I have 30gb free on the sdcard, but Final Fantasy 7 or 9 can't be moved there, giving the error "insufficient storage". However big files can be moved between location manually.
(Final Fantasy 7 doesn't run at all, and just instantly crashes when open. That game was always sensitive to where it was stored. It did work on your cm13, but not very well, its a bad port of the pc version I think
*Edit that, updated just got pushed by play store. What's changed state it doesn't work in 7.x Android).
Again, I am providing feedback as things happen. Not particularly asking for a solution, although maybe anything I come across can indicate issues to help with development.
Ooh another thing. In the expanded notification panel, pressing the pencil icon in order to rearrange the icon causes the phone to freeze for a minute or two, then brings up the lockscreen. Seems like SystemUI having issues but there is no error messages indicating that (but its that kind of behaviour from older Android versions that makes it seem like the case). It does not happen every time, but happens more than actually opening the rearrange page happens.

I got no problems (SD card not formatted as internal).
Although in some earlier builds when I formatted the SD card as internal storage I couldn't access internal memory from my PC.
So specify your problem a bit please?

Install 7.1 GAPPS on the ARM platform.
Well my SD card is showing on latest ROM but upon connection to PC it doesn't recognise internal or SD only adb connects and not sure what to do now ??
I'm still pretty new to this side of android what you mean SD card formatted as internal sorry for sounding so stupid

Plug your phone to your PC. Then when it connects to the PC you'll have to open your status bar and see a notification saying "USB Charging this device". Click on it and you'll get a small menu with 4 options. Click on " Transfer files" (which is the second option) and then your phone will reconnect with your PC automatically and you'll be able to access the internal and SD card data from your PC.
And a feature has been added to Android ever since the 6.0 version where the users can configure the SD card to be able use it as Internal Storage. You can find that in the settings of your device?

How about lis3dh sensor devices? - working properly or have problems with gryro or screen rotation?

This might be able to fix it. Go to developer options, scroll down to "select USB configuration" and change whatever setting you have to MTP. You might wanna switch modes a few times and then connect to PC with MTP active..
The bug has been active since cm13 in some cases and I personally never had the issue so I can't go into full depth of this.

android 10 go edition update is available for nokia 1
go to settings > system > advanced > system update
to download the update
I already got the update, I need the rom that can be flashed using SP Flash tools, anyways, the CTS profile check is done in the hardware level, so, it's almost not worth installing, yes, you can use magisk hide props config to set the evaluation type to basic but I don't know if it will work after hmd stops giving us updates........
