Hi guys, hope someone can answer this question I tried to look for in the forum.
I am about to purchase Redmi note 3 pro special edition here in Taiwan, just want to know if i can flash SD base RR or CM rom and custom kernel to make this beauty even better.
My concern is losing LTE band after flash since I am going to use it in North America.
Thanks in advance!
Somebody can confirm, if custom Roms for kenzo are working on a "Kate"?

Hello Everyone.
I just purchased a "Taiwan" Redmi Note 3 Pro (Hexa Snapdragon 3GB Ram 32GB Rom model).
The new Taiwan released version supports Band28, 700mhz which we here in Australia also use.
First thing I'll be doing, will be unlocking and installing CM for this device.
It only just occurred to me; will I need a different baseband\modem zip?
Will the official CM nightly work fine?
Will there be something I can do to help the community if we need some certain file or zip for this B28 frequency?
Happy to help in any way I can, and thanks for being such a great community

Have a read of this. It seems pretty straight forward. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68470657&postcount=13.
Hello, I'm new to the ROM installation stuff and I'd like some questions answered.
I've got a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 PRO.
1. Will a ROM for a Redmi Note 3 work for a Note 3 Pro?
2. Do ROMs work in all regions? If I downloaded a ROM made for China or Europe, will my phone still connect to Australian mobile networks?
3. What ROMs would people recommend for a Note 3? I'm after better speed and battery life.
Thanks in advance guys
Regards,
Anthony

1. No.
2. Yes.
3. CM13 or CM-based roms.
3. For battery: miui.
For speed: cm-based roms.
Sent from Note 3, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
I'm about to get a Redmi Note 3 Pro next year and I want to install a newer version of android 6.0 or 7.1.
I see many ROMs for Redmi Note 3 but I'm not sure if they would work for the Pro version and I don't want to flash the wrong ROM and brick my device.

Mokee marshmallow and CyanogenMod 13 are stable, I like slim rom. I have come full circle back to global dev mm.
Fortunately we got a separate thread between Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon version and the other Redmi Note 3 Mediatek version in XDA, so there will be easier for you to choose what ROM u wanna install on ur device and just make sure that u are in right thread.
We got a plenty custom ROM based on MM as well as Nougat and we all know that Nougat is still in alpha or beta stage so you may come across with particular bugs that came from the device cos we got some different versions like fingerprint sensor, camera, led etc, but in MM we have almost rock stable build, choose wisely.
And another thing that u wanna note that actually we have two version ot Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon, they are Kenzo (which ppl mainly use this device) and another one with codename Kate (special edition). What we look here, that Kenzo has many dev support whereas Kate doesn't and you may end up with bootloop if u flash Kenzo's ROM over Kate, but sometimes it will work sometimes ot doesn't. Also if we compare side by side between Kate and Kenzo, we look that Kate is bit taller than Kenzo, thanks to additional 4G bands.
That's all I think and I hope you are satisfied with ur decision like I did.
Last but not least, WELCOME. THANKS.

As I've already stated in the title, I bought the international version of the Note 3 (SD) and want to install a custom ROM such as CM yet I wasnt able to find a forum dedicated to the development for the Kate (international Note 3). Any kind of help is appreciated
I am just want to know why the development of custom rom kernel is not going on for our redmi note 9 pro curtana because its about 2 months now and there is no twrp that fully working and there is nothing much custom rom available for redmi note 9 pro why? Xda developers
Lol, same question I posted earlier today on another board.
I wonder, if the Note 9s/Pro isn't really attractive for users?
Or is it more difficult to build custom ROMs with android 10?
Or other reasons?
I think they have a problem with the kernel
Who are trying to fix it
But for twrp, mauronofrio has developed it as a test, which I believe will come in a stable version in the coming days.
I hope that in this post, developers will give us more information
I mean if it is easy develop it yourself. We have functional recovery which can flash roms. What are you gonna do more in recovery?
I started to regret to buy 9s because it has no stable aosp
