Hello,
Can anyone confirm that the mm update for the kiw-ul00 (chinese variant of the 5x) is scheduled to start roll-out beginning September?
I've searched the forums, tried contacting Huawei (still awaiting response)...
If I can't get a stock update for this model, does someone have experience with "cross flashing" with another ROM (yes I'm aware that I will probably lose some functionality). The stock software is just rubbish.

Hi, I just bought this phone (H960A), but unfortunately seller told me that he bought it with a contract from one of Polish mobile operator. It will be probably bloated with many their apps, and there will be no marshmallow update for a long time.
Is it possible to flash 100% stock rom? I want get update directly from LG.
And btw, is there any way to obtain a root in marshmallow? I read a plenty of threads and I didn't find any answer.

I think the MM OTA update is already available for your V10 variant.

But I'm talking about branded roms. Because of this, my father for example got the lollipop update for note 3 in the end of 2015...

It doesn't matter if it's branded or not. There is a MM update available for euro version of H960A. Just install LG drivers and LG Bridge, plug in the phone to your pc and update via LG Bridge. If, for some reason, you don't get the update like that than go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/general/official-software-h960a-v20a-t3354304. Download the kdz file and install with LGUP.
I have the honor 7 64gb (PLK-AL10C00B190) and am in the UK. I had the phone shipped from China a while ago and have been trying to get the marshmallow update for my device. There is currently not OTA available for my device and I have contacted honor who have confirmed that the OTA is not available. I have tried all of the manual updates I can find from both honors website and the XDA forums but have found none that work for this build number (B190). If anyone knows how I can update this device to marshmallow (ideally without wiping my phone) I'd appreciate it as I've been trying for months with no success.
Cheers.
Hi, I have an M5 8.4 C636 which is Asia Pacific region and haven't had any updates since June. I'm running on version 153 but according to HFF app there are 2 new software versions (169 & 180) but they haven't come through on OTA and are not approved for installation (per HFF app) although they are correct for C636 regon
My bootloader is locked and I'm not rooted but I was going to unlock the bootloader and selected 'unlock bootloader' in developer options some time ago then decided not to unlock it. Think this has stopped the OTA updates.
Does anyone have any suggestions about manual update when none of the available software versions are approved for installation?
Thanks in advance

In the past they have been - but more recently, the speed has been OK. You just have to temper your expectations a bit.
Motorola used to have a reputation for fast updates, but when I last had a Motorola device, they were really slow at updates.
Huawei have committed to Android Enterprise, which delivers at least 1 major OS update (Android 9), and Google security patches for 3 years within 90 days of release by Google.
As we are on July 2018 patch, they have 30 days to deliver either Android 9 or Android 8 with a newer security update newer than July 2018, otherwise they fail at their enterprise commitment and leave themselves legally open to breaking contractual obligations (and potentially customer returns)
I'm on the August security patch for maybe the past two weeks so I'm hopeful that this will get updated regularly.
Hi, I have a Mediapad M5 10.8(CMR-W09) And I'm unable to update it. I'm still on Android 8.0.0 and Emui 8.0.0 also, when I look for an update from the settings It say there isn't one and HiCare doesnt help either. I dont know if i can upgrade It from a external file or am missing something ( I am from Venezuela so I dont know if there is some kind of regional restriccions I am not aware of). In any case thanks for the help

the same, It say " you are using the last oficial upgrade CMR 8.0.0.198 (C567) "
A lot of us with that model are waiting for the Pie update which may never come due to the conflict between the U.S. and Huawei.

Hey guys, i've come across some bugs while installing the RMX1921EX_11_C.02 version from the Indian site to my phone and i would like some clarifications or help if someone faced those and overcame them.
- To begin with let me start by saying that I bought a global Realme XT with the firmware being RMX1921EX_11_A.05.
- I then managed to brick cyclops the device by trying to install RMX1921EX_11_A.10. Phone wouldn't boot, stuck on the Realme black/white logo.
- I managed to install RMX1921EX_11_A.06 through recovery and sd card.
- Then I downloaded from the Indian support site and installed through file manager the version RMX1921EX_11_C.02.
Now, on this version everything seems to work ok minus some bugs:
- Phone gets a bit laggy sometimes
- Brightness in automatic mode is not working
- Software update through settings won't work. Crashes a while after opening
- Battery life seems affected, won't last anyway near to what it was on RMX1921EX_11_A.05
So my question is, has anyone experienced any of those and found a solution to the bugs?
Also, is there anyway to obtain and roll back to the original stock rom RMX1921EX_11_A.05 from the beginning and then wait for the official OTA update?
Thank you in advance
Are you sure your phone firmware is RMX1921EX_11_A.05. (India version) not RMX1921EUEX (global version)?
If your firmware is India version, you should be able to unlock the bootloader and install twrp.

Yes, absolutely sure but im confused as RMX1921EX_11_A.05. is supposed to India version which my phone had but then the place i bought it was advertised as the global version and also i didn't receive the official ota update through the phone's update settings (and supposedly having the indian version). Seriously, realme's firmware naming and distribution is so confusing and impractical. but let's say i indee have the indian version, what does unlocking the bootloader and installing twrp mean? how will that help me and are there any cons into doing that? Thanks man
unlock the bootloader you can root the phone

My XT is was some as the global version. But from what I'm reading this says I'm using the Indian version? But I have NFC. This is so confusing. Bought this phone thinking I could unlock and root.
This confusing but normal. I bought two EU phones with NFC. One for me and one for my girlfriend. She is still on RMX1921EX_11_A.05.
I updatet my Phone to A.06 and when i look in phonedetails is called RMX1921EX_11_A.06.
I read that A.05 can be unlocked in the other thread. I would test this by myself, but yeah i don't want drama with my girlsfriends phone.
So i don't touch it

India version comes with no NFC. You can try Depth test apk , it won't hurt your phone even you pass it. Let us know if your global version can pass it or not.
