Did someone capture the USB packets during official booloader unlocking? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Just had a thought. Didn't anyone have the idea to capture the dialog between the phone and computer during the official unlock via MiFlashUnlock? Softwares like Device Monitoring Studio can show how MiFlashUnlock does the unlock. I would like to see such a packet capture.
(I can't do it myself because my Kenzos came with unlocked bootloader)

I mean, you can lock them and then unlock them again if you are interested enough.

Locked or Unlocked Bootloader?

Good evening all.
I have an SGP771 which I have owned for over a year now. I have been reading up about rooting and flashing this device. At the moment I am in a quandary as to whether I can unlock the bootloader or not. When I enter. *#*#7378423#*#* into the dialer and look at the Configuration menu from the service menu the Rooting status reads as Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No. When I enter the Developer Options there is a toggle for OEM Unlocking - Allow the bootloader to be unlocked, which I have switched to on. Developer options are also switched on.
Can anyone tell me if there is any way to root and flash this device?
Many thanks.
Hello @weazil60
Did you make it unlocking your bootloader ? I ve got the same issue with my z4 tablet.
Maybe I am going to apply this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/z4-tablet/general/guide-safe-bootloader-unlock-restore-t3362391 to see if I can unlock my bootloader that way (they did nt say there are cases it should not work) ...
I am interested in installing LineageOS but not sure if LineageOS plays well with the physical bkb50 bluetooth keyboard ...
Good evening Pierro78.
Unfortunately I received no replies and decided just to stick with using Firefox Focus to avoid ads (this was my main issue).
If you are successful with your modification please let me know.
Best of luck - weazil60.

Unlocking Bootloader

Hello, yesterday I got my xperia x to get on Sailfish OS, but it turns out Bootloader unlocking is not allowed on this device. Is there anything I can do, flashing a certain firmware, or anything to get the bootloader to unlock? I am of course getting the "command not allowed" fastboot error, and I've enabled OEM unlocking in dev settings.
Check your fastboot/flashmode drivers.
I did, they seem fine. I followed the instructions that jolla provided. I even tried a different USB port. I'd really like to avoid returning it if it's possible.
Are you sure that bootloader unlocking is not allowed? If that's the case, then you can't do anything but return it. Try not to buy carrier specific devices for bootloader unlocking.
I have Sony Xperia X (F5121) bootloader current unlocked and I followed this Article.
https://www.getdroidtips.com/unlock-bootloader-sony-xperia-x-f5121f5122/
Why not go straight to the source, the Sony unlock bootloader page? Fill in the required info and if they send you the unlock code your good to go and follow the directions on the page, if they don't then you know it can't be in theory...

Any eay to get face recognition without changing region?

Well title says it app. Is there any hack or mod to activate this. I am in serbia so i doubt se will ever get it officialy since se are not in EU
Wait next update and you will solve the problem.
Hi, I'm about to unlock my bootloader - miunlock is ready to go, waiting period elapsed etc.
If I do this, will I lose face unlock?
The tool suggests I will - it states that when you unlock you lose fingerprint unlock, but I've assumed that's just the saved data - that you can reprogram your prints. I'm wondering if it's the same for face unlock, that you just have to teach it your face again, or if one the BL is unlocked, the feature is disabled.
Also, does mitool allow you to relock the bootloader?
Sorry for the noob questions - I've messed about with unlocking on a lot of other devices, but Xiaomi's approach is new territory to me

In a weird position. How do I root my phone?

So I got this Sony Xperia X model F5121 from one of my relatives, and I ran into quite a few issues when I tried rooting it. it says Bootloader Unlock Allowed: NO, which would mean that i couldn't get into fastboot mode and unlock my bootloader but here's the very specific and weird part: I can get into fastboot mode, at least I believe so. My phone was carrier locked to Vodafone but I payed a professional to unlock that and now I can use every SIM I want. I looked online and the first XDA page said that unlocking the SIM meant that fastboot mode is unlocked as well. So I tried, I plugged my phone in while holding the volume key, a blue light popped up and it meant I was currently using fastboot mode, but when i try doing anything it says "waiting for devices" and doesnt end up working at all. Am I missing some drivers? Is it just impossible? Could one of you be kind enough to provide the needed files and some instructions for this procedure? i'm asking for a lot, I know but if there's anyone kind enough. I'm running the absolute latest version of Android 8 Sony provides.
EDIT: YEs, used adb shell, I have the ADB drivers, I tried the szuzu install or what the TWRP codename for it is, but everything just stops at "waiting for devices" and I can't do anything.
Since you are not allowed to unlock the bootloader - Bootloader unlock allowed - No, there is no way to unlock it and root it. Sorry.
even if you want to try again, make sure to force install googles drivers
instead of sonys

unlock oem bootloader unlocked

hi It says im unlocked in the unlock app. and I also have the token.bin from oneplus. I can't do anything in adb to unlock becuase i can't seem to unlock the bootloader it's greyed out in the developers options. How do you get the grey out?
i dont follow. you already got the token but cant enable OEM unlock? in order to get the token you need to have had OEM unlock enabled. to enable OEM unlock follow the debloat thread script. it will enable OEM unlock.

I have the token from my last logic board that broke. Since I had to install a new logic board from e bay my IMEI has also changed since that is what it's attached to.
Also I tried contacting the carrier and they said I need the original owners information in order to continue. I stated it's my phone from your company but i just replaced the part. Of course they told me the same thing. That I need the original owners information... Since the IMEI is no longer the same. The IMEI really is just a fingerprint for carriers to track. Doesn't really hold much more significance.
