[REQUEST] Notification led (harlequin) always on - Elephone P9000 Questions & Answers

I was wondering if someone figured out how to keep the notification led (aka harlequin) on when screen is on. It would be helpful in dark environments.
@skeleton1911 already posted a similar question some time ago but there are no answers so far.
I've already tried with tasker but its seems that tasker has no control over the notification led.
Any workaround is welcome.

Tasker and LED control?

Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone else is having any issues with tasker and their s3? I want to have my LED turned off during my night profile, and have the notification pulse action set to off, but they still flash for notifications. I've asked at the tasker Google groups, and a couple of others seem to be having an issue with tasker controlling the s3 LED.
I know I can use light flow to control it, but I get inconsistent results with that app. Some notifications don't flash, and sometimes I can't get the flash to clear without a reboot. So I've given up for the time being.
Or are there any other apps out there that can control the LED?
Thanks.

I was having trouble with Tasker & LED control on my S3. After playing around for a while I found that Light Flow was interfering. After uninstalling, Tasker controlled the LEDs properly. I haven't tried turning them off though, only from the task that lights them up, but that works.............I hope this helps...........
try using LED and Vibrate notifier

I am able to consistently turn off the notification light at night using a preset task in NFC Task Launcher. You will need an NFC tag and will have to remember to use it. I have mine set to toggle along with notification volume and put it on my bedside table, where I charge overnight.

(fixed) KingKang Rom Unofficial Source Build - Clock wrong and no notification LED

Hello guys,
two (I hope) little problems. I installed "KingKang Rom Unofficial Source Build" yesterday.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2007132
At the moment everything works fine beside two problems:
- The clock on the top right is one hour off
Yeah, the clock is one hour behind the real time. But only in this clock. The clock widget, the clock on lockscreen and the clock in the clock settings are working fine. Any chance to (manually) change this? Probably it thinks it's in summer time?!
- The notification LED is off
No light for notifications or charging. Could be the Kernel (Buttered Toast with captive backlight off), but I thought it only desables the light of the buttons. Haven't seen an option in the settings yet.
Probably someone knows how to fix it. Anyhow I will change the kernel with backlight on and probably flash the ROM over a second time, when I get home.
Any help appreciated
cya,
MChief
Hello, I see your having some issues with Kingkang rom. The clock is off by an hour? OK have you set the correct time zone in date/ time settings? That happens to me sometimes when I flash Mazda's aokp jb ROMs. As for notification light, have you tried enabling in led under rom control? The capavative lights have nothing to do with led lights. Buttered toast kernel works fine for me. FYI I know your new here, and you aren't able to post in development yet( perspectively in kingkang thread) you need at least ten posts to post there. My suggestion is to go in general section and get in a couple discussions about something to build your count up so you can post in development.

Like you can see on my "join date" I'm not really new, but it's hard for me to write on other topics
Like I said, the other clocks are working perfect with correct time/zone etc. like it is chosen in settings. Only then "main" clock doesn't want to...
There is a LED Control option in the settings, but when the light in the app picture goes on, the LED of my phone doesn't. I also changed the setting there to see if it will overwright something.
Yes, maybe I should join a few conversations to ask the devs directly. THX for the answer
I use light flow lite from the play store to control my led lights notifications, you may also have an issue with no control over screen brightness, use rootdim
(Don't ask me for help as I couldn't care if your phone explodes, eh! )
Ok, so after a reboot (sadly one i didn't want to do...) the clock is working as it should.
BUT yesterday I installed light flow, but didn't get the LED to work. This morning I THINK I got it working by enabling "icd backlight LED".
State at the moment: When I want to unlock the screen it goes on for a second and then goes totally black like in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20012996
Don't know where "s6e8aa0 control" is...
And the capavative lights like to go on and never go off. Only a reboot helps here. Also produced by light flow.
Now I deinstalled light flow
So after installing the full version of light flow and playing with the sttings I got it to work at the first try.
It's now with HTC compability mode and without the "icd backlight LED".
Probably also the update to the newest buttered toast kernel and setting the min. Mhz from 1** to 3**. I will test that.
Well I'm glad you got it to work
Ok, it's also working with 1** Mhz. So it was the "icd backlight LED".
Light Flow isn't working how i would like it. I only want the normal notifications...

LIghtflow work for you? Non-Rooted? (Resolved)

I seem unable to get Lightflow working. Anyone having success? (I'm not rooted).
If so, can you share what all you had to do to get it going?
I use light manager, and it works as promised, I am also not rooted. (SD). I haven't tried light flow, but I can confirm light manager works with most of the colors

Hmmmmm.....must be some setting problem. Just tried Light Manager, and it doesn't work for me either

I'm using Lightflow and it's working as usual for me. Didn't have to do anything special to make it work.
Thanks for the input guys.
Turns out that me LED indicator setting under was turned off. I believe i dud that SetdudLdudevice on initial setup, thinking i was turning off charging LEDs, and that LF had its own control.
I'm good to go now, and feeling a bit embarrassed ...
Anyone else having problems with the LED being shut off after notifications are dismissed? I have all my Light Flow notifications set to stop after I clear the notification from the notification bar. But it's not working. I'll try contacted the developer.
Weird, not had that one.
But I have noticed several problems with Lightflow. I have contacted the developer, but no respose as of yet.
With Lightflow, things I've noticed is:
1) When added a new Notification, if you test it, the LED colour does not match the one you've selected. But it'll still work for the notification.
2) Colours in the Cyan range don't seem to be replicated corretly - but I don't think that's to do with lightflow. One my phone (SM-910F in black) there's a fine, wire mesh kind of pattern over the surface of the phone, which covers the LED. Seems to distort what colour comes out.
If I look really closely, I can see a hint of the correct colour if that makes sense. Not sure how a developer could sort that out, as the program is probably working correctly.
Pretty much Sea Green, turqoise, teal, light green all seem to come out as Light blue. Even using the hex manually still results in this. Same with Light manager too. Really really annoying!
Of course it could just me my old eyes playing tricks one me!
3) Sleep mode doesn't quite work properly. If you set it to disable vribrate only, and leave everything else on, it disables everything, not just vibrate. A small issue, but hey, I'd like to use the feature.
Apart from that, it works perfectly. So nice not to have to switch on accesability to get it to work

S21 Notification - Blinking Light

I just got a new Verizon S21 and I really miss the blinking light that I had on my S8 for notifications. Is there any way to have a linking light or a sound to continuously?
The S21 has no Led indicator. But you can use an app like AOD Notify to get a nice indicator.
Thanks, I am found AOA which I think is what you were suggesting and it looks like a good app. If you are familiar with the app, would appreciate a little help. The app seems to turn itself off after some period of time and I can't find any adjustment for it. If you know how I adjust it would appreciate the advise.
