I do not understand what do you mean when you say "hazy background". Can you elaborate on that?

themer says it cannot work cause the menu bar reduces the screen dimension and cannot work.

You mean the galaxy S2 ? as the default screen resolution is actually 800 by 480,it may be the rom that is an issue and not themer

Hi, Themer is designed to work on a stock resolution. Make sure that all your display/resolution/DPI settings have been set to default.

Works fine with my G2.
Should be something in your rom settings

what's your rom?
using the xposed option to disable the navigation bar themer works fine.
but, that's a problem on the other side, phone is not really 100% without nav bar...

Stock so that's why it should be in your rom settings

That's odd though. Make sure you haven't adjusted the sizing of the bar in any way. Any small change in your display settings will throw off all of the Themer settings.
themer will not work for me in my rom either ... i havent touched the dpi or anything .. it is 480 I believe but the screeen resolution is coming up as 1803x1080 :S... I do not know how to fix it
Yeah same here for my Xperia Z Ultra. I'd really like to try Themer, but it doesn't support the ZU. I'm on stock Sony build, no tweaks to nav bar or DPI that I know of. When I check the screen dimensions under Themer Debug Info, it says it is 1824x1080 with a DPI of 320. Perhaps it is the DPI that is the problem? Either way, would sure love a fix so I can try Themer out.

Hi Danial,
If your phone is rooted, please check that any other display setting has been set to default. This includes any height settings of notification/nav bars or any resolution settings. If you visit gsmarena.com, your phone settings should match the stock display settings for the G2.

Hi luvboox,
The developers are working very hard to improve Themer's performance and other features, however adding more device support won't be easy due to lack of resources. Once Themer is more stable we'll look into more device support such as the Z Ultra
If still not working, please see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2775244
LG G2, Nav Bar, & Themer
I rooted my G2 and did resize the nav bar. Is there no size I can make it to that's smaller than stock in order to use Themer?

Unfortunately only stock settings will work in Themer.
Modded volume bar as an Xposed plugin, for 1024x600 and 800x480, see the screenshot.
It can be easily removed if you don't like it.
Available in Xposed Repository at http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.sevenfloor.xposedvolumebar
Hi, on my Head Unit 800x480 the "Volume Bar" is not displayed in its entirety. Left and right the icons are not shown and the background is completely black.
I will soon if possible a photo to upload.
Thanks
Sorry for my bad English.

Yes, please attach a screenshot. Also, would you tell me what ROM do you use?
PS. Strangely enough, nobody else reported any issues with this simple mod.
Hallo
My ROM is "updateKLD800x480KK4.4.4.rk3188.150820.150821"

So I see that the icons are not fitting entirelly. This is related to screen DPI you have. Your ROM - is is a stock one or some custom ROM from this forum? I never used stock ROMs, reflashed to custom one almost immediately. Most custom ROMs have setting for screen DPI, not sure if that's true for stock ROMs. I'd suggest you to play with the DPI, just raising it for a minor value should help.
But what do you mean when you say "the background is completely black"? On your photos, the background looks like it should.
The ROM is here on the forum.
Thanks a lot for your help. I will try it with changing the DPI.
With the black background that was my mistake.
EDIT:
I've changed the build.prop
ro.sf.lcd_density=240 --> 225
Now it looks good. Thanks a lot for your help.

You wrote that you had DPI set to 240 - this is normal setting for the 1024x600 screens as far as I know.
For 800x480 it should be something like 160 or 180, don't remember exactly.
Anyways, it's just for your information, and it is up to you to choose what is better for you.
Okay thanks
I installed this in my RK3188 1024x600 unit and while I get the cool new volume bar when I use the volume slider from the notification panel, it doesn't display when I use my volume knob. Any ideas?

can you make an option to move the volume bar from the bottom to the middle? I have the one knob unit on the left and when you turn the volume rocker your hand blocks the first 30% of it.

Maybe check to make sure you don't have anything conflicting installed, I mean any modding Xposed plugins.

I don't like an idea of adding options screen for such a simple plugin.
I'll think, maybe I better compile a separate version centered vertically, it seems to be simpler a lot.

Unfortunately, no. All the graphics in this mod are the PNG images. To become green, they need to be redrawn and replaced in resources.
I'm afraid I don't have any motivation to do that, you need to understand: this was only a simple mod for myself, that I decided to share.
Also, the white is the color that fits any color scheme, this way it will satisfy the most audience (unlike green, red or whatever else)
For instance, I have a Volkswagen with all the buttons and gauges on the dashboard highlighted in red.
Still, I didn't choose this bar to be red, because white is good enough. But green would be a total crap for me.
By the way: in the xposed repository, there is a link to my github with all the source code of this mod. Anybody may feel free to fork it and make any changes they want.

In the Xposed repository, there is a link to full source code of that mod (Github). It is free source, everyone can fork it and do whatever he want.
You can install the Android Studio and compile these sources in it.
Or, you may take an approach with the software like APKTool which allows you to unpack APK files, change resources and repack it back.
Anyway, you'll need to learn how to do either, on your own.
Sharing my little work, I didn't take any responsibility as to provide any further support or even teaching people programming At least, I don't have time for that.
Those little tips are worth it . I.m going to work at this. Learning is a process
Is it possible to pick a new color other than the default orange? I probably want a blue or something, but I don't really want to mess with framework apks. Is this yet possible? I did check the asus theme app but I did not see an option for that.
Yeah. Use the themes app, go to my themes, and then find the create button. If you can't find it I'll reply with more info
Put a blue picture as background and make the theme, change your wallpaper back after.

thanks I found the create button under my creations. I can now change the colour settings and icon shape, wallpaper, etc. I'm just playing around with it now. I think I can get it the way I like from here on my own. thanks again man!
EDIT: Actually, it looks better now, but it kicked me out of dark mode in settings and such. I actually prefer it this way, but its also interesting. I wonder if any of the mods I tried initially may not have worked because of the default theme's dark mode. hmmm...
I wanted to make my status bar always black with white icons. used to work on my old phone, but it was old. so yea doesn't work

Just got an update to Pie and now several screens (Messenger, Settings, etc) have a white background and blue letters I can't change. Makes it hard to see. Any ideas on how to change background and font in Pie? App Settings don't have an option. Thanks, smart folks!

Did that. Didn't work. Apparently there is no way to change the background color in the Messenger app and it doesn't emulate a theme.
Turn on night mode, that'll at least make the background black. I know that doesn't totally solve your problem but it might hold you over.

That worked! I appreciate that! I also put on a high contrast theme which works as well.
